1. In my opinion, what you wrote automatically linked me to the attached illustration. 2. Especially today in Singapore; with so many responsibilities, worries, congestion and putting up with huge population increase (and more are coming).... 3. I for one, would not want to become a "slave" especially to my TOILET! *Sucks*. 4. Well, don't get me wrong. 5. Under the Chinese Holy Trinity of Luck: 5.1. Heaven Luck = born with (ba zi) = 33.3 % 5.2. Earth Luck = Feng Shui of home and office = 33.3% 5.3. Human Luck = Here, feeling good belongs to this category. = 33.4% Total = 100 % 6. Dear Flannery, Please see below:- In my opinion, it is best not to apply "Sector concepts" as this is too general. For the bathroom in the center of the apartment, is a concern. There is not much that can be done here. If it is feasible, not to use it or keep it bright and dry. My front In my opinion, I would not be too concerned with the `Relationship area'. The staircase over the main entrance is acceptable. So long it is not a toilet - which is inauspicious. There should not be any problem using the main entrance door. Overall, you may consider checking out using the Free Eight House Report to check on how suitable the house is to you and what intangible f…

Similar concern:- New home and "Do we need to take note of anything due to my wife pregnancy?" Reply:- 1. Based on general Chinese customs; to avoid moving the existing bed of conception. 2. If you need to move the bed, Mrs must not see the move and later, should not visit the bedroom and see that it is moved. 2.1 The above is the most important Chinese consideration. 3. Thus visiting the new home to collect keys etc.. is a non issue. But, once a while some parents tell their daughter in law cannot do so. etc.. But this is more of the conservative side. 2.2 Also do check with parents. As some parents have additional taboos if any. As different elders have different con…

Dear Daniel, I strongly encourage everyone to first grasp the fundamental principles of Feng Shui. When discussing two main doors, we are focusing solely on the 'end result' rather than the underlying causes of the situation. It is essential to comprehend the root of the matter; initially, the number of main doors—whether two or three—is not the primary concern. In 'proper' Feng Shui, if a house has two doors, it is advisable to conduct a Feng Shui audit to explore the scenarios associated with using Door A versus Door B. If one door is found to be more auspicious than the other, it is preferable to utilize that door more frequently for our own purposes. Our con…

1. In my opinon, what you mentioned is based on this category of Feng Shui: "Symbolism in Feng Shui'. 2. What is considered inauspicious especially when opening the main entrance door; one can see the staircase.(The main implication is that of the staircase leading DOWNWARDS). 3. Here, it implies that wealth is drained away from the main doorand due to gravity, dain downwards towards the staircase and down, down, down. 4. For this very reason, is wheremany seem to believe that it is inauspicious. 5. Of couse, one can argue that a staircase is meant for going up and down. But, the fact that it "flows" down is the mother of all greviances. 6. There is no hard or fast rule. …

Hi Master, i’m looking for help as the master room (in the picture), has a full window side, a wall sharing with toilet, a wall with door, and another wall with the wardrobe. Is it wise to open a new door (on the left), and close up the one on the right and hack away the wardrobe? Or is it okay to share wall with the toilet as the toilet bowl is not on the same wall as the bed head? My best sleeping direction is: North, East, South, South East.

Hi Master, I have read a lot about where to place a stove in your various topics. Due to the layout of my kitchen, it seems like the best place to put the stove is opposite the shower door (toilet and shower seperate area), is that a bad idea? Alternative would be to move the washing machine (front load + stack dryer) and squeeze the stove in between the 2 doors but it make the counter and kitchen layout very difficult.

Dear Vijay, Based on a simple chart, yes, North = water element. But this does not exactly or literally mean that adding water there is the best choice. You should be able to find a correct perspective, by going thru some of the most recent forum messages. Try to do a SEARCH for e.g. Water etc.. No two situations are similar. For example, try to do a SEARCH in this forum for Rivervale Crest No it does not. As you are a new member of this forum, it would be good if you do try to do some homework e.g. use the SEARCH feature to find out more of any topics you are interested in. For example search for: WATER FOUNTAIN As much as we all like to find out things f…

Dear Shifu, I would like to consult you on a property at the Marina Bay Residences condo, i need to know if it is a good or bad fengshui staying in this condo? Next to this condo is a financial centre. I hope to buy a 2-bedder, which the balcony faces the sea view instead of the bay view. Is it OK to buy sea view unit? The kitchen is right after the main entrance door, which is an open concept kitchen. Is it fine to purchase it? Thank you very much for your kind guidance and advice. awaiting your soonest reply Regards Ivylim

What happens if Block 15 isreplaced by a flat area such as a pool? It could be worse if we imagine that the area occupied by Block 15 is a flat piece of land and the blocks are aligned in a U shape with the opening exactly at West facing If so, the three pools will get maximum exposure all day long and thus greater rate of evaporation of pool water.

Dear Jen, It is best to go for clay coloured roof tiles or even red/maroon. There was once, a client who used to have clay coloured roof tiles. Because of the numerous leaves that had fallen on the roof, and algae growth on it, the roof `turned' greenish. Fortunately, this house `looks like a crab' or has a profile of a crab. The owners became very successfully and prospherous. However, the owners subsequently got the roof cleaned and things was not the same again. The green algae grown is akin or symbollic of `wealth accumulation'. Overall, locally and overseas, it is common to find green roof tiles especially for temples. For a house tht has e.g. blue or grey roofs; blu…

Guess I have to shift asap as its indeed the toilet bowl behind the bed! Other remedies I will do is install a canopy over the bed as there's a ceiling fan on top; Clear out the storage space underneath the bed as its packed. I hope I can see a difference soon, and will continue to do more research. Thank you!

1. Usually, if you have been using your English name most or all the time, now, frankly, it does not make any sense to change your Chinese (Mandarin) name. 2. However, some suggest that one may (could) make a "dog-tag" carved or eitched with your new name and "wear it". 3. Otherwise, it may be "pound foolish" to change your Chinese name. Even if you want to change your Chinese name, your new Chinese name should be "better" than your existing one - through proper advise. Quote: Anonymous wrote: Hi, My Chinese name has not beenused for a long time. But primary school friends used to call me by that name alot. Subsequently, new friends at sec sch called me by my Eng…

We are planning to purchase a brand new apartment, the building is still under construction. I have already tried all kind of compasses, including luopan, but have got all different results; it looks like like the compasses go crazy. Just for a record, I'm not a novice to using a compass. Mind you, most of the compass readings show NW more or less, but very inconsistent): sometimes it's NW1 (pearl string in period 8), then it's either NW2 or NW3. What's going on, please? What would be your advice in this case, please?

Dear Sirs, thank You for providing helpful and original Feng Shui information. I am just learning myself that the westernized approach is very different from the original, so I do what I can to leave that behind and learn correct Feng Shui with all the kind help. So far I have learned that I have kua 9, where South (Fire), North (Water), East (Big Wood), Southeast (Small Wood) are my "strong"/favorable directions, and then when I look up my Ba Zi element report (unfortunately I am unsure of birth time, but I think all day is weak metal?) I read the same elements weaken my metal balance - and how can water make strong and weak at the same time? I have many philosophical qu…

Dear Anon, Since it is a non-religious item (more towards decorative item), a simple "throw-away" would be acceptable. If you have a big plastic bag, simply place it into the bag, tie it up and throw it away. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Cecil Lee, I have read your posts about belief in bunk beds, but wanted to share my specific situation and get your advise, not just about bunk beds but in general. I have two daughters - 2 year and 4 year old, used to sleep in their cots so far, but have moved to a bunk bed recently. Not enough space to have separate beds. The 2-year old sleeps at the bottom and the 4 year old on top bunk. This is a traditional bunk bed - same size as top and bottom and exactly on top of each other. Both have head towards East. The bed has a wall on one long side and about 1 feet of space on both head and leg side and open space on the forth long side. There is a wi…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I am looking for Condo in the East part of Singapore, in particular, Pasir Ris (eg Elias Green .. etc), Tampines (eg The Tropical ... etc) and Simei (eg Modena, Tropical Green .. etc) area. Frankly, this is more a house hunting related service rather than free advise. There are so many condo developments in Singapore. Every condo will have some good or bad blocks. And even within the block there are good and bad units. Furthermore, depending on the direction of the apartment faces, the house luck will be different. So we it is not right for us to just tell you which is the most suitable …
