    1. Wearing a yin yang symbol is considered inappropriate by some people. 2. Is it frowned upon to wear a yin yang symbol? A Typical Yin & Yang Symbol Dear Anon, 1. Youngsters often wear the yin and yang symbol as both a necklace and rings, showing that it can be worn without any issues. 2. I regret my earlier mistake in associating the Yin and Yang symbol with the Ba Gua trigram. It is important to clarify that the symbol alone is acceptable as it signifies balance and can be placed at the center of a house for that purpose. 3. My initial thoughts were linked to the First Heaven Sequence and the placement of the 8 trigrams. Unless it is a…

    1. Yes, it is just an expression. 2. Fu Lu Shou is never meant to be "prayed-to". Symbolically, it should be placed facing where-ever one seats. Thus, if one sits at the living room, ideally, it should be facing "you". And it is very common to be placed on a table facing the dining table. 3. Best to place it at the Living Room. If it is placed at the dining room area, the table should preferably be (nice-to-have) 49 inches to not more than 50 inches tall (based on auspicious measurement - of the Feng Shui ruler). If the table holding the Fu Lu Shou is too low, it is like when we eat, these deities are salivating... all over... 4. Never place it facing the main door. …

  5. Edited by Robert: There is no promise as to whether Cecil will have time to review the condo that you have listed as he is extremely busy. Hi Cecil, I am a new member here and find this site extremely interesting. It provides a comfort zone to analyse when one faces related feng sui issues. Had read your review and some of your feedback about condominium at or around Flora Road - specifically Dahlia Park and so. Wonder if you have any review about the blocks at Estella Gardens TOP 1999, which is located at Flora Road as well. Would appreciate your view. What do you think about this Project in general? and anyparticular view on the blo…

  6. Dear Kyra, 1. In my view, when we are uncertain whether a piece of advice will be effective, it is wise to refrain from placing the object in that particular location. 2. This aligns with the commonsense principles of Feng Shui. 3. For instance, many of us have encountered the notion that having a bedroom situated above a kitchen is considered 'inauspicious.' The reasoning behind this is based on common sense. In the event of a fire in the kitchen, smoke and flames rise, which would be unfavorable, especially if a fire were to occur there. 4. Likewise, if we position a mirror, such as one made of glass or silicone, near a heat source, the glass may not…

Guess I have to shift asap as its indeed the toilet bowl behind the bed! Other remedies I will do is install a canopy over the bed as there's a ceiling fan on top; Clear out the storage space underneath the bed as its packed. I hope I can see a difference soon, and will continue to do more research. Thank you!

  10. Hi Master Lee, I was reading about feng shui and the kua number recently, and I have a question about recovering from illness. My kua number is 7, and I read that the Southwest direction is best for health. I'm from the Northeast part of the country (USA), but I moved to the Southeast a few years ago and I've felt ill since I moved here. I recently became sicker, and I wonder if I can recover if I move to the Southwest part of the country. If I move back to the Northeast, could I recover there? Thank you for any insight you can provide.

Hi ! I would like to improve the feng shui of my home (especially the career aspects) but the floor plan is very unusual and I really don't know how to place the bagua map or the adjustments I would have to make... As you can see on the map, my front entrance is at the end of a long and isolated corridor, and the door is tilted towards the exterior of the apartment. Thus, if I align the bagua map with the door, almost all of my apartment would be outside of it. How should I place the bagua map ? What would you recommend ? Thank you so much for your help ! Dear Anon, 1. Usually, the advise is not to use too many crystal balls. This case was because, this person used trial and error Feng Shui and would place a cluster e.g. more than 5 or 6 crystal balls at a particular location. It happened that he placed the crystal ball at a location, nothing happened and he placed more at the particular location. Therefore, there is a difference between using one crystal ball and over indulgence using so many crystal balls. We have to clearly understand the distinction between the two. I am thus concerned if one `over indulge' or `over eats' in such a situation. 2. At another location, he bought a water fountain and pla…

Dear Anon, 1. I believe, you are still young so try abit harder:) 2. It is best to watch your weight. There is not much in Feng Shui that relates to weight. 3. However, a sensible diet would usually help: 3.1 The Chinese often use the chopsticks to pick food. So that they are forced to eat slowly. You can still do so with the fork and spoon. 3.2 I am not sure if it will help but one should take breakfast, eat a healthy lunch and dinner. Avoid supper food. Here, it is believed that we burn more calories in the day time (activity) and at lower activity time, eat less. I believe that breakfast is the most important`meal' that should not be skipped. 4. For a mountain star, i…

Dear Mina, 1. Chinese Astrology (Zi Wei Dou Shu), Eight House Theory, Flying Star Theory, Pillars of Destiny all these major theories uses Chinese Lunar calendar system for their calculation. 2. In authentic Chinese methodology such as Chinese Astrology, Eight House and Flying Star all reference to one's Chinese Lunar calendar. 3. Xia (Hsia) or Chinese Solar calendar is used mainly to define season. And in Pillars of Destiny, this is one portion of the calculation. For example, to define the season of birth i.e. when you were born what season it happen to be at that time. 4. As mentioned above, all other major calculations of Pillars of Destiny uses the Chinese Lunar cal…

Hi Anon, Yes, however, Gua is the proper Chinese (rather than Kua which is based on Cantonese Dialect, just like Qi = C'hi) So how can Gua 9 numbers be equal to represent 8 Trigrams? There is no way so that is why the Gua Number itself does not yet equal to the 8 Trigram. Especially not the Gua number 5. Thus, the number 5 is often converted to represent one of the other two Trigram depending on Male or Female. Since the Eight Trigram is used or part of the Compass School (ie quite related to the Flying Stars) except that the center sector is empty. Thus, We relate the Trigam exactly as how it would link to the Flying Star. Eight House and Flying Star are part of …

Thank you Cecil for sharing your thoughts on this matter. I am in total agreement with you. Far too many people believe feng shui is the magic bullet for all their "ills". When I tell them this, some can get quite annoyed ! And usually these are the people that have got themselves into a mess. Sadly in this day and age we all seem to want instant gratification. Cheers Glyn

Dear Wasis, Earlier, the opening of business on a second day is meant to be an overall (general) date for most business on the whole without considering the date for the owner. Sometimes, if boss distingtively, is concerned about his/her own business, and who "reign supreme" in the business, would like you have mentioned, find a ba zi date that is suitable to him/her (the owner). Often the time is either based on: 1. phonetic sounding timing This is a practical approach since, a business can open at a normal timing, to suit most employees. 2. Based on Ba Zi of the owner Here, sometimes, it is trickly to open business at a time not suited to the employees. Luckily for a p…
