Dear Anon, Frankly, you may have to first find out whether your posting to this new position is permanent or not. And since you were posted as a quick fix, try to speak to your supervisor (Boss) that you are equally unhappy with the new post. Depending on your current work performance, length of stay in the company, the better your previous work performance in your existing posting the better it is for you to "bargain" with your boss. Most likely to see if you can work in this position temporarily - as a last resort. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, If you just do a search, you can find my article on guidelines for the kitchen:- You can go to: Tips For The Kitchen Posted in: Info :: Feng Shui Tips & Guidelines Posted on: Sun, 01 Aug 2004, 06:06 AM And read the above article. In fact, toilet guidelines does exist. In general, where possible, try to have at least one wall of the toilet sharing an external wall. If the house has more than one storey, try not to have the toilet bowl (on the second storey) just above the main entrance door. In addition, for other toilets on the secondstorey, try to super-impose the location of the toilet onto say the 1st storey layout plan. Try not to have the toilet…

Dear Anon, 1. The sleeping direction or best bed-head direction should be considered "Nice-to-have" and not a must have. 2. Even if sleeping with the head facing west, I personally feel that this position is the better choice. As you had also mentioned that the other position e.g. placing a tall bookshelf and placing your bed-head towards North seems weird. 3. Feng Shui is about Earth Luck. While feeling comfortable in a bedroom surrounding is about "Man or human" luck. 4. Thus what best is to sleep in a "normal " bedroom vs a "weird" layout bedroom. If we don't feel good in a bedroom.. might as well throw out the whole concept of "theoratical" feng shui. Worst t…

Dear Anon, Frankly, there is no major issue with the poster. However, if we do stare hard-enough at a peacock feather, many of us may see a large "eye" looking at us. Perhaps, this may make some of us feel uncomfortable especially since it is in a private bedroom. If you really feel uncomfortable whatsoever, then best to remove it. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hi Cecil, One more consideration I thought I might add - this is a Kan house (front door and unobstructed view facing south-2 and sitting north) and the annual flying star number for the South sector is 5. 2-5 combo is supposed to be inauspicious as well. So we have the 3 killings, 5 yellow and a 2/5 trigram yearly combination in the bedroom. What can we do to cure the 2/5 combination? Is it safe to sleep in the bedroom at all? Thanks much! CK

I posed the other entry below, but I can't respond to it on my computer. So I am responding in another post: Thank you so much for responding. The room is clean and I have done feng shui to the rest of the house, but am unable to much in this room because of how it is set up. Are there any bagua mirrors I should use or crystals? The rest of the house is good, but the bed can't be moved and it is on the wall connecting to the bathroom, under a fan and my head can't see out the door and my feet are close to the door. It is all bad chi and I don't know how to fix it. Any remedy help is appreciated....

Dear Anon, Yes agree! If it is a small bedroom, the only sensible thing to do is to keep the bedroom tidy. For Feng Shui, cures and enhancements, have to go further than this small bedroom for success. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Anonymous wrote: I live in an apartment where my bedroom is really small. It is only big enough to fit my bed at one wall (the connecting wall to the bathroom) and has less than a foot on the left hand side when you are facing the bed. There is about 5 feet at the bottom of the bed where my feet face a window. I can't turn my head to see out the door because the door is off to the side of that five feet. because the room is so small it is …

Dear Anon, In general, if an HDB precint has majority either North or South facing apartments, then if particuarly the male breadwinner is a West group person, may consider looking at especially if it is a Flying Star Period 8 South 2 and 3 apartments where there is particularly a double #8's at it's facing direction. If the apartment is a Period 8, South 1, then check that if possible the living room is at say North or the back of the apartment. A west group person can still benefit greatly from a South "facing" apartment. Frankly, usually changing the facing direction of a door has more to do with "PACIFYING" one's concern than effectively changing the qi. There …

Is the SW direction good for water features for period 8 or is it for 2008 only? I'm quite afraid that I mightposition the water feature wrongly in the SW which is facing my main door and then tapping bad energy instead of good luck. Can I place it onthe east side of my living room, facing the windows but next to the Kuan Yin altar instead? Is this good for period 8 or this year only?

Dear Anon, More importantly, you should have completed your renovations on or after Chinese New Year 2004. In addition, if you had given your townhousea fresh coat of paint then the better. In addition, if your townhouse feels fresh and does not have too much clutter all over, then there is a very high likelyhood, that you home can be considered as more of a Period 8 home. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, To be honest, some homes or apartments have bad Flying star numbers at the centrepoint of the home, especially under Period 7. Therefore, in general, a toilet is exactly not a major issue for such homes. Instead of placing those mirrors or screens or false wall, in my opinion, it is simply to leave it as it is. And, if possible, try to maximize or enhance qi or neutralise qi in a home in other areas. From a practical point of view, few if any nowadays, place a mirror at the toilet door. And those false walls is often very cumbersome to get in and out of the toilet when there is limited space. And most importantly the toilet if possible should be dry and ai…

Dear Dave, You can try to search for : " Food and Yin and Yang" or Yin and Yang Foods...or foods that are yin and yang... As under the Chinese system as you have mentioned, food can be classified as under Hot (Yang) and Cold (Yin).... In general, chicken and pork should in my opinion, be classified as under "white meat". Nowadays, the main concern is that animals both chicken and pig (pork) may be injected with too much anti-biotics... Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. Yes, if your working position is North, then you should be facing North and sitting with your back at South. My Kua Number 1 My best working position is N ( 337.5 to 22.4) Do you mean sitting N at 337.5 to 22.4 facing N with my back at South. 2. You should be facing SE. Dear Gabi, All of us have taken an examination or examination(s) in our life. And usually we find some teachers teaching us some "techniques" in how to approach certain types of questions. For example, one of the most common type of examinations (school examinations) is: that we are given a time limit i.e. to try to answer 5 questions say out of 10 questions given. Many of our teachers will ask us to allocate a specific time for each of the questions. Thus if we were told to answer this exam paper within 2 1/2 hours and need to (compulsory) answer 5 questions then we should try to allocate 30 minutes each. And the logical way is to try to answer all 5 questions giv…

I need advice. We just built a house. The visual as you enter the front door straight ahead, is a music room with a huge half moon picture window. The view through it, is 2 large bananna plants on either side of the window, abeautifyl wrought iron table with chairs, and past that, you see the swimming pool with a waterfall to the right. this waterfall would be considered SE of the house. Past that, you can see a pond with wild life preserve tocomlete the view & backdrop. Is this good or bad feng shui? I am getting conflicting reports. It is a good feeling for me, yet I want to be sure.

Dear Hemant, Frankly, there is no direct relationship between selling say a godown vs Feng Shui. A godown is especially related more with business decisions, then Feng Shui. In the holy trinity of luck: considerations include: things like your office Feng Shui, home Feng Shui.... Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: HEMANT K. wrote: I want to sell one built up godown having north facings, but despite my full effortsI am failed to getany offer, any feng shui tip so as to get earliest funds from the sale of this property. This Godown was earlier used as a store for junk materials viz.. iron scrap, plastic scrap, electric motors, old used machinery, and some of the stock is s…

Dear Anon, Since youintend to do a major renovation, then try to select the latest date. It is good to just see which period is better. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Anonymous wrote: It is a2 story house that used to be 2separate houses, one donwstairs and oneupstair. The first story (house nr.1) was built in 1956, the second story (house nr.2) in 1981........ andifwebuy the house we would do a mayor renovation in order to conect both houses and transform them in only one house.

Dear anon, Usually, it would be good for an employer to install low height partitions at your workspace (if possible). You have not mentioned whether your work space is an open desk or already have a low height partition. If you already have low height partition, this is fairly acceptable in an office environment where one's desk is directly facing the office door. And no further needed. It is good also that your table is possible, moved slightly instead of direclty facing the office door. In an office environment, we have to understand that often staff cannot control the situation. For info, only: see attachment. Some companies use this type of workstations x 4 o…
