Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I intend to buy a corner unit HDB flat on the 10th floor. But when walking along the corridor leading to the main door of the flat, can see the back of a cremetorium and a temple. However, can't really see these 2 buildings from inside the flat. Also, I would like to know if it would be a cause for concern if the masterbed room and another bedroom is rather near the corridor of the next block of flats. As I need to reply the owner soon, would appreciate a prompt reply. Generally, if you can directly see the cremetorium or temple from your house, then it will be direct major concern. Otherwise, if you cannot see it it should be ok. But on a p…

五黄 Wǔhuáng Frankly, like time, we cannot go back to reverse it. Just cross your fingers and hope for the best. Mary T. wrote: I recently had some renovations done at my north and northeast sectors and there were hacking and noise created during the midst of it. I realise these sectors are afflicted by the annual/mthly afflictions of 5yellow and taisui. I notice things have not been going smoothly in my household and although I have all the remedies in store, things are still happening one after another because july/august has the double 5 and 3 in these sectors. Please advise if there is anything I can do after the renovation is complete so that thin…

Hi, Most of the readings taken from the Chinese Astrology uses only the person's Year of birth (element) only. If you have not visited my Chinese Astrology site, feel free to do so at http://www.lovesigns.net In general, one should not display ferocious animals e.g. tigers with hungry mouths open etc... in the house. Even for everyone. Generally, under the Chinese Astrology sign, the Tiger and Horse can be an excellent match. For the Dog and Tiger.. perhaps, drop-in at http://lovesigns.net Warmest Regards, Cecil P.S. A more accurate assessment is to use the Pillars of Destiny that analyses: the Year, Month, Day and if available the time of birth. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. I believe it also depends on the country we live in. Here, locally (in Singapore) and around the region, plants can strive inside the house. It also depends on the type of plants used. In some locations, I believe that it is difficult for plants to grow or subsequently may die. 2. We tend to use the plants as a cross check on a location. Here, it is used as an `indicator' rather as a clear indication that the location maybe inauspicious. One can use Feng Shui tools like Flying Star to counter-check whether the location is inauspicious or not. 3. For offsite audits especially for those who are facing hardships or financial problems, sometimes, I do ask the …

Dear Simon, Simon Lau wrote: Comparing it with my house which my main door is facing NE, master bedroom W, child bedroom SW and kitchen NW, it seems like my house is in a very bad position. In general, the only way to correct a suitable house or suitable room is either to move a more suitable house or choose a better bedroom. Otherwise, there is very little you can do in terms to correcting a suitability issues. Firstly, you should confirm your facing of the house, as the main door falling under the NE sector may not necessary be the actual facing of your home. So determine whether your house falls under:- 1. Apartment (2nd - 7th level), facing of the house is determin…

Dear Pam, Frankly, whether which is better, will depend on which chart will better fit the house. For example, if you have double 8 at the main door or facing direction, obviously this would be most ideal. But if your double 8 occur in the toilet location, then it isn't as beneficial. Same goes for the sum of ten. If the sum of ten occurs at a main door or facing direction, obviously this will be good. If both occur at the best location, then probably double 8 would be better as this is the reigning period 8 so it is the best stars to have at the frontage. Sum of Ten would not be as good as a double 8. But as mentioned, these beneficial stars must occur at the righ…

Dear Anon, 7-9-2 Is not very good combination simply because the Strong Earth (2) is not being controlled very well by weak Metal (7) and instead the influence is enhanced by the weak Fire (9). Thus creating a strong Star 2 (Sickness) In addition 7-2 come together signifying Disaster. The solution is to control the Star 2. Which is by using metal. The best metal cure so far is to use 6 metal coins tied with a Red String. Hang in at the door in that sector. This should help to control the strong Earth (2). However, you should consider whether they are any other problems before you decide to activate this cure. This is usually the recommended solution, if that is the only p…

Dear Jian Rong, Yes, some Feng Shui practitioner(s) often recommend a mirror at the stove area. One commonsense approach is that this may allow the person cooking to look at his/her "blind spot" or simply: the person who cook can see who's coming into the kitchen. On the other hand, it is the FS practitioner's idea that having a mirror like you had mentioned, below could "double" the food being cooked. Another senario is often to symbollically change the direction of the stove to a direction favourable to direction favourable to the occupants. Quote: jian rong chen wrote: 1) To put a mirror at the kitchen stove. Hang at the wall where the stove is. Yes, it is qui…

Dear Harriet, Initially, you can use the Eight House Template to "map out" your rooms to check which sectors are auspicious or inauspicious. You can either use the web based html format at http://www.geomancy.net/fs/house1.htm or Sign up for a free account at www.geomancy-online.com to create your Eight House Template. You can then check whether there is any inauspicious influences on the sector of the room. The Eight House can only check for the above and this is where it ends. This is because the Eight House Theory of auspicious or inauspicious influences does not take into consideration the Five Elements concept. Serious investigative work would include using the Flyin…

Dear Kalvin, The two "cures" are: 1. use of earth elements e.g. pottery or clay objects at the NW sector. Or the use of water (bottles) to reduce the effect. What sort of renovations are you going to do: Major or minor? Generally, minor renovations would not change the period from 7 to 8. Do take take note for this year 2005 (upto before the next lunar 2006, year), it is best to avoid reonvations at: 1. West (Tai Sui or grand duke's location) 2. NW (Deadly Yellow or #5 location)

1. Big Tree - right opposite the main door Stand inside the door and look directly out of it. If the tree is not directly facing any part of the door (within the doorframe) then no issue. Else as mentioned in my earlier posting; can apply the "triangle-effect" i.e. do a search under this forum for it or the other options that I had mentioned. 2. Utility pole From your rough sketch - don't seem to be a threat to the home. 3. Pool Would need to have a proper assessment done based especially on Flying Star Feng Shui. Dear Andrea, 1. Yes, Lin Yun was interviewed by a newspaper reporter. Indeed he admitted in the article that it is “better to believe in yourself than him”. He said that he was in fact a “fake”. Lin Yun’s confession can be found under this link:- 1.1. In order to understand `Black Hat Sect' or BTB properly, it is best to look at it entirely from `LUCK prospective'. 2. Types of LUCK: Under Chinese divinity / Feng Shui we can broadly classify LUCK into three general groupings:- 2.1 Heaven Luck: Under Traditional Chinese methods, Ba Zi or commonly called Pillars of Destiny/Eight Characters can be used to `discover' what was given to us i.e. Heaven luc…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: could you please explain if the missing corners on the upper floor of a house are as detrimental as missing corners on the ground floor A missing corner is considered when more than 33% of the sector is missing when you view the house from the roof view. So normally if the missing corner is just on the top level, it is not really considered a missing corner as the bottom level still forms a complete square. Hope that helps. 1. Frankly there are a few remedies but they involve some changes or activity. What it tries to achieve is to have the door "protected" from the poison arrow (sha qi). 1.1. Is it possible to relocate the door? Or tilt the door. (It is best that tilting be done by a professional). 1.2 Fencing between the T section and the main door. Or any other landscaping with the use of bushes or plants. Usually best that the actual layout is looked at to further determine if there are any other possible "cures". The last resort or alternative to the ba gua is hanging a six-hollow rod windchime.

Dear Anon, This position, thou not `ideal' is still acceptable. This type of issues are ranked lower importance to many other more important points as discussed in this forum. Other more important issues include: 1. A person's suitability to the house. 2. Is the bedroom in an auspicious sector. 3. The toilets should not be located next to the front door, above the main entrance etc.. 4. The flying star chart of the house in relation to a person's Ba Zhi etc... Warmest Regards, Cecil

Further to what I had mentioned, attached, please find an illustration of an "UP" house number sign. Please note that this applies to two digits, three digits or more house number. But if one's house number has only one digit, your guess is as good as mine Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Daren, Yes, a clock is considered a form of Sha Qi especially if it faces your house through a window. You can apply the rule: If one cannot see the Sha Qi, it no longer becomes a threat. See if you can come up with something e.g. draw the curtain etc... Another consideration is the clock. The smaller the better. Warmest Regards, Cecil

1. In my opinion, honestly, it may or may not be coincidence! 2. As normally when we (professional) practitioners have to do an indepth study e.g. of one's home, check one's luck periods etc... 3. Assuming that there are currently no unlucky stars that appear for the home, then, it may be the case (associated) with what you had mentioned. 4. If your favourable elements are yellow (earth) and green/ brown (wood) than it is still best to go with these two colours. 5. In general, if you still continue to suffer an unlucky streak, without much improvement, then there is a higher weightage that this colour may likely have brought you inauspicious luck. As a Strong Metal, your favourable elements tends to be Water/Wood/Fire. However, individually depending on your five element percentage, the most favourable elements may vary from person to person. This means that if your water …
