Dear Masters Cecil & Robert Lee, Re: your 2008 forecast, noticed that under all animal signs, those with weak water or other weak elements would have to watch out as the year may be unfavourable. You did mention that this is a very general outlook, but wanted to know that if for e.g., one is weak water, can one strengthen the water element thru' colours, etc. to make it stronger and thereby have a better year? Please do give your valuable insights. Wishing you both and your families a very peaceful, prosperous, blessed and joyous New Year! Many thanks!

Dear Shauuna, The alternative to "such a complicated" situation is to look to the basics of Chinese principles or concepts:. Most of the time, when we start reading books on Chinese principles and concepts, we will always find:- Uppermost level: Taichi Upper (branch) level : Yin and Yang concept Lower (branch) level: The Five elements concept. What you are trying to "meddle" or "fine tuning" is under the Five elements concept. In a "very complicated" case or sometimes we humans make it so..so ...so complicated... that doing something will impact on the other. Such as... "but I'm afraid that will boost the 9 giving fuel to the 5." There are two possibilities:- 1. Wh…

Hi Cecil, I am very grateful for your reply. It is difficult to find such great person to offer thisto stranger these days. I have checked and indeed I belong to weak yang wood. Is "metal" industry suitable for me? The reason for asking is though the offered company is in plastic injection business, they are also involved in tool making. At the same time, they are also looking into doing metal stamping business. If an offer is very attractive but belonging to the "unfavorable" career, what should one do to avoid the "clash"? Thank you sincerely.

  4. Dear Anon, Orange colour because of it's close resemblance to literally an "orange" or a "mandarin" orange is considered as "gold" colour. And gold belongs to the range of metal elements. Thus, painting it orange, would be bright and colourful! More importantly, many toilets are in enclosed area and often not well lit. Thus, especially if we do have elderly at home or youngsters, it is still good to go for light pastel colours in a toilet. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Anonymous wrote: Is it advisable to paint the bathroom orange if it is in the NE sector of the home? 5. Dear Suzanne, 1. Under the Five element concept, it is true that fire produces or fuels earth element. If we take just this two element flow. 2. However, this is not the "end" of the world. Earlier on, you are just looking at what is known as a "TWO-ELEMENT" flow i.e. Fire give rise (or fuels) Earth (full stop). But it does not end, here. 3. One can look at it from a wider spectrum i.e. move into or apply a three element flow i.e. FIRE - 6. To get around the concern of: not able to introduce say Red, or Green or some other colours because of one reason or the other, we can instead, introduce the entire "range" of the Five elements. This is simply known as FIVE-ele…

  6. Dear Jude, The key word is: Location, location, location. What is most important are both the external and interior Feng Shui of a home. This involves: Shapes and Forms and Compass School of Feng Shui. The Compass School of Feng Shui is based on both the : Kua (Gua) and Flying Star Feng Shui. Currently, what you are looking at is just the Kua (Gua) of a person. And the directions you mentioned are considered very "simplisitc" as it does not take into account Flying Star Feng Shui. Where under Flying Star Feng Shui, directions are equally important not just the Kua (Gua) of a person. What you are doing therefore only takes into account directions based on persons wi…

Dear Anon, To be honest, over a few sentences, it is very difficult to pin-point what is the issue. Generally, if everything else remains the same and then when we shift to a new home; issues come-up. Most likely there are "wealth-leaks" in your existing home: For the home Feng Shui, the leak(s) could be due to Shapes and Forms: do stand inside the main door looking outwards... check for any "poison" arrows such as lone lamp posts etc... or any pointed roofs of neighbours aiming either towards the main entrance door or the windows. The other concern is how suitable the home is to the male breadwinner and other Compass School concerns and if possible the knowledge to …

Dear Anon, Please see sample attachment. Where there are five family members living in this apartment: Pers1 = male breadwinner Pers2 = his wife Pers3 = his son Dad and Mum Firstly, we need to find out whether each family member(s) are an East or a West group person. In the above sample example, all family members happen to belong to the East Group persons. The breadwinners are Pers1 (Male owner) and Pers2 (Female - wife). As the breadwinners, they sleep in the master bedroom between sectorEast and South-East. In addition, it is nice to point the bed-head facing East which is one of their good sectors. Warmest Regards, Cecil P.S. The attachment shows a samp…

  15. Dear Mary, Please visit this url with forecast for your animal sign:- http://www.geomancy.net/resources/yearly-forecast/fortunes-2008.htm In general, (don't get too unduly worried) as under www.lovesigns.net the animal sign opposite each other are suppose to be the most incompatible of the two. For example, if you were to view the 12 Chinese zodiac signs, the Rat faces the horse directly! However, don't get too much auto-suggestion or self-fulfilling prophecy. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  16. Dear Larry, There are two ways to go about under Feng Shui: 1. By personal feel In general, if you and your family members have "positive" feel about it, I think it is good enough to place these lamps at specific locations. 2. By Flying Star Feng Shui Under Flying Star Feng Shui, in particular; sectors that for example have good "mountain" sectors or sectors that need "fire" would be suitable locations for the lamps that are lighted 24 hours. As light from the lamps represent the fire element. And any sector that lacks fire element can have such a lamp introduced to that location. While the salt lamps is conside…

Dear Becky, To be honest, if you are referring to the "House-number" report, it is meant more for high-rise apartments. This house number report is based on "Vertical-flying" Star Feng Shui. As the term "vertical" suggests, it has to do with buildings or apartments on different floors. This method is very popular especially in Hong Kong with high density of population living in flats or condominiums. And it is said that a high rise that is on the 6th floor or storey would differ in qi with another same unit on the lower or even upper floors. Thus, if yours is a landed property, this "House-number" report should not be used. But rather, one should, if one knows how t…

I have read that you should always keep the toilet lid closed -especially when you flush it. It may also be good to put a plant at some point between your bed and the the toilet and to try to keep the bathroom door closed as much as possible. I hope this helps. Good luck with the coming of your new baby!

  20. Dear all, Question 1: I am about tomove into an 2000 sq ft office, and found out that the toilet is locatedin the south east corner - the cornerfor prosperity. I wish everyone in the office to prosper... what can I do other than closing the door, keeping the toilet seat down. how about painting the toilet wall green, or changing a brighter lightbulb ? making sense ? Question 2 : my own 100ft room has windows facing north and door facing south, my door is in the same direction of main door, both south-facing. now the south east corner of my own office room is the door opening inward, how can I enhance that corner ? I really wanted to earn a lot of money opening th…

Location in Conflict is South. - Avoid having renovations done opposite the location in conflict. For 2008, avoid both North and South as mentioned, above. Dear Amelia, Sorry, not sure what you meant that you should have your dining table at the centrepoint of the home. A dining table need not necessarily be or (must or even nice to have) located at the centrepoint of the home. In many homes: for the living/dining room area: we first need to locate the actual location of the living room. After doing so, the next area to allocate is the dining table.Again, it may not be atthe centrepoint of the home. In Commonsense Approach to Feng Shui, the toilet: Whenever we flush the toilet bowl, minutewater droplets or sprays will fly all over the place. (Usually it containssome germs). Thusif we have the toilet doordirectly facing th…

Dear Amelia, Gua [Kua] numbers (or commonly known as Eight House or Ba Cai Feng Shui belongs to the Compass School of Feng Shui. Both Gua (Kua) and Flying Star belongs to the Compass School of Feng Shui. Frankly, there are quite alot of resources in this site as well as I believe many other sites on it. 24. Good day to everyone, Being new in this site, lately i found some mistakes in dividing the house room. Needs your advise or any cure. Beforehand my wife and I shared the same Gua(kua) #2. First, at present our master bedroom is located in the SE part, elevated(with door opening facing north) which is the Spook area and we sleep head on south. Three(3) Bedroom in line from SE-NE whereas SE-master bedroom with adjascent bathroom/toilet. The 2nd bedroom, elevated(door facing East)located in the East, and the third bedroom floor almost level with the house flooring(door facing south)near NE but the guest toilet/bathroom is situated in the NE and the toilet bowl on the NE c…

Dear Karen, The kindergarten method is to place a crystal at the SW = romance corner (of a room or house). Sometimes, by coincidence this matches the "romance" sector of the home. Under Flying Star Feng Shui, in general, and specifically the 20 Year Flying Star Feng Shui:- MS # WS # Base # If you seek help from a Feng Shui practitioner, most likely the practitioner will advise to activate MS # especially if is #8 or #9 Where MS#8 = networking, relationship luck. The above example is very general but give an idea as a proper Flying Star analysis of a given sector includes looking at all the relationships of MS# with WS# with base #. Here, there is a higher change…
