    A. In my opinion; these are some of the considerations regarding the use of Flying Star: 1. Macro Feng Shui: 1.1 If the entire property needs to place a water position or landscaping works; then drawing a full Flying Star chart of the combined TWO dwellings into one. 2. Micro Feng Shui: 2.1 If you want to map out your interior layout plan; it is more practical to apply it say to your specific dwelling instead of the combined TWO dwellings. The rationale is simple: if you use the combined TWO dwellings; then half the compass areas are no longer within your zone. Thus one may end up with only half the areas like: North, East and SE sectors... While West, NW, SW could belong…

Dear All 1. As mentioned earlier, the key sucess factor in applying one of the principles of the Five elements is to try to harmonise the use of it. 2. For example, it is not ideal to place two elements e.g. Fire element and Water element `next to each other'. 3. Here, if we refer to the Five Elements concept, we should introduce a third element e.g. Wood element. 4. Under the Productive Element flow, we will now get: Water -> Wood (the above missing element)-> Fire. 5. I find the best example for understanding the productive cycle of the five elements is the following:- Assuming this house or office is at the ground level. If one looks out of the house or office, t…

Dear Anon, 1. Can you elaborate whether the corner of (one or both) of the columns is/are "pointed" or aimed at the main entrance door. 2. Are the two columns equal width with the main entrance door. Hope you can clarify the above, first. Thanks. Cecil

In my opinion, this has more to do with beliefs and customs than Feng Shui. And also based on common sense and may affect the subsequent re-sale value - if any. For example, the Cantonese dialect group felt that "14" means Sure to Die.....

  7. Dear Anon, 1. Practical or applied Feng Shui does not come about like what you had mentioned. 2. Recently, I got calls from potential clients worried about how their new condo could be turned topsy turvy with Feng Shui. 3. One potential client mentioned that, there were so worried to engage the same Feng Shui practitioner as their relative. This was because, the Feng Shui practitioner asked them to tear down the newly built wardrope and kitchen cabinets. Of a new condo. 4. These are similar concerns echoed by at least 3 more callers that I had received. Hmm... in my opinion, doing so is indeed a waste of money. And quite a desperate move. Which is never fruitful. On the c…

    1. The most common approach is to have to place a partition between the front door and the window. 2. The partition need not be full height nor air-tight. If it is a reasonably "heavy" partition, make sure that it is properly "anchored". So that it does not fall down and "hurt" anyone. 3. Alternatively, close the window closes to the door (facing the door).

    1. In the past, I had mentioned that we should adopt a holistic "examination" approach to"luck" and Feng Shui. 2. As you are aware, it is nearly impossible to re-locate the toilet. If so, we should instead try to "maximize" luck or neutralise futher issues (poison arrows) from other areas. 3. For example, if we are asked to answer say 4 questions out of ten within 2 hours time period. Thus, a good teacher will always remind the student to try to answer all four questions and set a limit of hour-an-hour per question. 4. Same, here, even if you want to crack your head over the wall for the toilet at the centrepoint issue, one is wasting one's time. 5. Some "minor" cures…

These are some of the considerations:- 1. Just imagine, parents, grand-parents and great grand parents time; where got such figurines. 2. In modern society, we have to call these objects; modern invention. 3. Again in modern times; many businessmen, choose to try to sell products; in the name of Fung Sway. Why? 4. A simple product or figurine.. costs "next to nothing" to produce. But suddenly when it was wrongly value added "in the name of Fung Sway"; supernormal profits are made out of the idea of "greed begets greed". 5. Guess, who pockets the supernormal profits; and guess who is "poorer" by that amount. 6. My grand parents, your grand parents; did not have such items.…

Dear Donna, Frankly, I can only comment based on Feng Shui directions as I have little information without info on the analysis using Flying Star. Under the harmony of the Five elements (rudimentary Feng Shui concept). Under the Five elements concept: 1. NE = Earth element or Yellow. The ugly cream you mentioned can be considered the Yellow element. Implication: a. Cream is in general considered a `harmonious' colour as it is the colour of the Earth element. b. Under the Flying Star analysis, so long as there is no strong Earth or No. 2 numeral at the NE, this colour is acceptable. If there is a star 2 at this location, best not to use cream colour. 2. If you are paintin…

Dear Laura, I must admit that I find myself somewhat perplexed by this situation. I apologize for expressing this sentiment. This forum currently contains over 11,000 messages. If you take the time to attend two specialized conferences—such as Photo Tours of Interests (which includes photographs), Singapore Property, or Can or Cannot Buy—I am confident that your message will be well-received. It is my belief that messages shared in General conferences, such as Discuss:: Free Advice (General Feng Shui), should provide you with tangible examples. I earnestly hope that the standard of research is not one that requires individuals to be excessively guid…

Dear Anon, The most effective placement of such stones (which are object of mass) can be at locations where The Flying Stars are Mountain Star #8 sector(s). Or especially if the sector has mountain star #1. Not ideal to place it at sectors that have Water Star #1 or Water Star #8. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Anonymous wrote: I bought5 beautiful stone ignots from Mongolia, each representing the 5 elements. Since it is made of stone, instead of the traditional gold, I am not sure exactlyWHERE andHOW to place them in order to enhance my wealth and prosperity. I am a Strong Fire Snake and will this have an effect on placement of the stone ignots.

Frankly, as Rome was not built in a day; D.I.Y. (do it yourself)Feng Shui is equally no one-night stand type of thing. If Feng Shui or fung sway is so easy.. then it would not be fung seoway already. If you are up to studying or understanding Feng Shui, you really need to... spent lots of effort learning it... Cheers!

  18. Dear Anon, Yes, some people rub the tummy of the laughing Buddha. Usually, for those who pray to e.g. Godness of Mercy etc.. should keep the Laughing Buddha at a separate section. One way is to have different elevation on the same table. On the other hand, one can place it separately on another display shelf. Usually, display shelfs face e.g. a window or look at the main door or facing it (rather than facing inside the house). Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Cecil, Thank you for this wealth of information. I can see that the flow of Qi can be a very illusive thing and why it takes many years to develop into a functioning Feng Shui practitioner. My dilemma is choosing a good frontage for both my boyfriend and I since we are equal as breadwinners, unfortunately he's an east facing person and I'm a west. Since we both have 0% water, I guess a N, W or NW frontage with good Shapes and Forms would be the answer. Cheui May

Dear Anon, For this year, if possible (not just the 7th month) avoid painting at North-West sector or the Gand Duke of Jupiter's location. For example, he does not like people to touch (e.g. avoid painting) or disturb him (e.g. avoid drilling or renovations) at this sector. If possible, also avoid painting at West or the yearly #5 sector for this year. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Anonymous wrote: I am thinking of re-painting the whole house. Is there any constraints like 7th month cannot do painting? Can we paint the ceiling for the tasui room for this year? Will re-painting our house give us luck? Thanks in advance for your answer.

  21. Dear Vicky, Gua or Kua is based on Ba Chai or Eight House or 4 good / 4 bad directions. Thus although it has an element, it is better to associate your Gua with directions - primarily. vicky conjamalay wrote: hello sir, my kua element is fire and my feng shui element is earth. Could you tell me how these two elements make their effect on me. Waiting for reply. Thanks. I am not sure what you mean by Feng Shui element? Earth? Do you actually mean your Ba Zi element e.g. Strong or weak earth? If you truly mean Ba Zi, then, it is much easier to associate it with the Five elements concept. Thus as mentioned above: Either a person is a Strong Earth or a weak earth pers…

These are my comments: 1. Under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui: Symbolically, it looks like your work-table faces the same direction as the table in your boss room. This is a plus point. 2. Compass School of Feng Shui: 2.1. If you know your best facing direction (e.g. under the Eight House concept) and this new facing direction of your work-table is favourable; again this is another plus point. Here, you need to do some homework such as using the ordinary compass to find the orientation. 2.2. Most likely, this is beyond you; as usually, a Flying Star chart can be plotted to check the various sectors and Flying Star influence.

Dear Anon, In a general sense, one can say that fudogs are considered `puppies' while lions are `heavy weight'. Both are considered `guardians'. It is very common for large Chinese buildings to have lion statutes rather than fudogs. Fudogs are usually used in a house and serves as a `milder' form of `guardian'. You will never find a pair of fudogs guarding a large building. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Having a small sectional sofa in your small home can offer you a lot of seating in relation to the space. They can turn any room into a warm, conversational and intimate area where you can just relax or entertain friends. It is very important that you find the right size sectional sofa for your small space; a very large sectional sofa can overwhelm the small room. When decorating and choosing furnishings for one of these smaller areas, one must be aware of proportion. A large sofa or sectional sofa will overwhelm the room's view as well as its useable space. A small sectional sofa can be made to perfectly fit and utilize the space. One of the greatest benefits of sectiona…
