Dear Anon, One of the `principles' in relation to neutralising `objects' is to remember that it has to be `activated'. For example, even a simple table fork has been effectively used by some FS Masters to counteract / neutralise a sha qi. Here, one should remember to point it to the `sha location'. It is usually not advisable to use a sword as one has a problem deciding how to place it. Furthermore, it should not be hang within a home. Under `Symbolism', a knife or pointed object creates sha qi and this would inadvertenly affect the household, a bedroom a living room etc... Instead, one should use other non offensive methods. For example, I have mentioned that one princip…

Dear Lee Nah, Please see below:- Ideally, the stove should face inwards of the home i.e. the main entrance. Therefore, preferably, the knobs should also face inwards or upwards (neutral position). You have to determine where is the location of the kitchen. If the kitchen is at the North (compass direction), then it would be best for the kitchen to have a door. As North represents water, the kitchen should have sufficient warmth. But if the kitchen is at the South, (fire element) it is not necessary to have a door at this location. In addition, it is still ok for other directions (not to have a door). As mentioned above, for a North (compass direction/point) i.e. …

Dear Hartono, Grateful if you can clarify further. Do you mean that your home has two set of stairs or is it the building that you live has two set of stairs. Usually, if it is the building, this could be due to fire regulations where many buildings have two set of stairs on both sides. For stairs in the home, (interior) of the home: 1. The stairs should not be located at the centre of the house. 2. The stairs should have a turn or landing and not be one long set of steps. 3. Where possible avoid spiral staircases. 4. The steps should not be directly seen from the main entrance door. 5. It is ok to have to sets of stairs in the house. This is acceptable especially if one …

What then is the best option if: My best position is head pointing north. This means my bed must be placed at 45 degrees to the wall.If I align it against either wall that forms the corner,my head will be pointing in my worst directions,ie,NE or NW.Other bed positions are not suitable because it faces a mirror or the door. If I sleep alone in a queen size bed, should I sleep diagonally with my head pointing north?Which is more important - the position of the bed in thedesired corner of the bedroom or the head pointing direction?

1. Recently, I was tasked to do a town planning (severalthousand ha) for a third-world country. For such a large size, Shapes and Form Feng Shui is the first consideration. 2. It is not true that Flying Star applies only to "after" built up. Locally, many Singaporeans, get us to either do a major Additions and alternation works (A & A). And Flying Star is used widely especially to determine: where qi comes into the home or tap good qi; "lock up" bad qi etc.... 3. In past forum messages, Flying Star chart is like a pie, it can it be a small one or extended out towards the properties marker line or zone. 4. For a plot of land, even if we use Flying star, Shapes and…

1. In theory, overall; the Finance industry is considered as belonging to the metal element. 2. Thus, from an industry stand-point; is is considered as not suitable to a weak wood element person. 3. In the past, a butcher is a butcher, a merchant is a merchant. And in the past, the industry often mimic the job scope. 4. Nowadays, often one can generally classify: The industry; one is in and the job scope of function one does. 4.1. Thus, although the industry (Finance = metal); you can further look into your job scope or function. 4.2. If your job scope is in the water element: e.g. such as Public Relationsor I.T. department; such careers beneifit the person according to…

Dear Rochelle, 1. For info, it would normally be very inauspicous to see a spiral staircase, especially if one is standing at the main entrance facing inwards of the home. I hope that this is not your case. 2. Usually to `tame' the spiral staircase; two methods are used:- 2.1. Placement of plants around the staircase (ground level) especially the side facing outwards. For example if the spiral staircase is close to a wall, two potted plants can be placed on the `other side' to conceal part of the steps leading out of the staircase. 2.2. The placement of forks. Here, one can use two metal forks (those common fork and spoon) type of fork and aim it towards each side of the …

Dear Olivia, Olivia Kim wrote: I am confused about with you compatibility chart. I am a Ram but also an East person whose Kua # is 9. Isn't this a direct conflict? How can such a relationship work? Please explain. Please avoid confusing yourself by relating different concepts together. ie Compatibility & Eight House are different. 1. Usually for such a question, it needs more indepth analysis. However, you did mentioned that the aquarium is at Northwest corner of the office. 2. Under the trigram, NW is = the head (male) of the household and thus affects your husband. NW is also where one of the most important trigrams in the modern ba gua chart = Heaven luck. 3. Since we do not have detailed information to work on, it is best to remove especially the most recent water feature. And avoid placing any more such things. Stella W. wrote: Onlyafew weeks later, my husband got layed off. This puts us in a very tough financial situation since I am staying home with our 1 year old. I am wondering if the…

Dear Anon, 1. Practical or applied Feng Shui does not come about like what you had mentioned. 2. Recently, I got calls from potential clients worried about how their new condo could be turned topsy turvy with Feng Shui. 3. One potential client mentioned that, there were so worried to engage the same Feng Shui practitioner as their relative. This was because, the Feng Shui practitioner asked them to tear down the newly built wardrope and kitchen cabinets. Of a new condo. 4. These are similar concerns echoed by at least 3 more callers that I had received. Hmm... in my opinion, doing so is indeed a waste of money. And quite a desperate move. Which is never fruitful. On the c…

1. The most common approach is to have to place a partition between the front door and the window. 2. The partition need not be full height nor air-tight. If it is a reasonably "heavy" partition, make sure that it is properly "anchored". So that it does not fall down and "hurt" anyone. 3. Alternatively, close the window closes to the door (facing the door).

Dear Anon, The most effective placement of such stones (which are object of mass) can be at locations where The Flying Stars are Mountain Star #8 sector(s). Or especially if the sector has mountain star #1. Not ideal to place it at sectors that have Water Star #1 or Water Star #8. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Anonymous wrote: I bought5 beautiful stone ignots from Mongolia, each representing the 5 elements. Since it is made of stone, instead of the traditional gold, I am not sure exactlyWHERE andHOW to place them in order to enhance my wealth and prosperity. I am a Strong Fire Snake and will this have an effect on placement of the stone ignots.

Dear Anon, In a general sense, one can say that fudogs are considered `puppies' while lions are `heavy weight'. Both are considered `guardians'. It is very common for large Chinese buildings to have lion statutes rather than fudogs. Fudogs are usually used in a house and serves as a `milder' form of `guardian'. You will never find a pair of fudogs guarding a large building. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Yes, one of the best ways to find out if the house is good or bad is to bring the whole family along. Especially the kids or a child. If the whole family feels comfortable or at ease, then the house is generally good. Here, no matter what, Feng Shui thru `our feelings' or sixth sense is indeed a powerful tool. This is why for some people, after `practising' Feng Shui, have since regretted mostly due to `over indulgence' where we often use the term `Fast Food Feng Shui.' For these group of people, I personally believe, that it is better for them not to have ever heard of Feng Shui at all. Here, they do not need to spent money to buy `enhancers' such as fountain…

Having a small sectional sofa in your small home can offer you a lot of seating in relation to the space. They can turn any room into a warm, conversational and intimate area where you can just relax or entertain friends. It is very important that you find the right size sectional sofa for your small space; a very large sectional sofa can overwhelm the small room. When decorating and choosing furnishings for one of these smaller areas, one must be aware of proportion. A large sofa or sectional sofa will overwhelm the room's view as well as its useable space. A small sectional sofa can be made to perfectly fit and utilize the space. One of the greatest benefits of sectiona…

Dear Anon, Yes, some people rub the tummy of the laughing Buddha. Usually, for those who pray to e.g. Godness of Mercy etc.. should keep the Laughing Buddha at a separate section. One way is to have different elevation on the same table. On the other hand, one can place it separately on another display shelf. Usually, display shelfs face e.g. a window or look at the main door or facing it (rather than facing inside the house). Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Laura, I must admit that I find myself somewhat perplexed by this situation. I apologize for expressing this sentiment. This forum currently contains over 11,000 messages. If you take the time to attend two specialized conferences—such as Photo Tours of Interests (which includes photographs), Singapore Property, or Can or Cannot Buy—I am confident that your message will be well-received. It is my belief that messages shared in General conferences, such as Discuss:: Free Advice (General Feng Shui), should provide you with tangible examples. I earnestly hope that the standard of research is not one that requires individuals to be excessively guid…
