Dear Anon, This is a very interesting question: 1. I recalled one Australian Feng Shui practioner was doing an experiment (not so much of Qi) movement but rather how water is drained from a water pipe. She `found' that water drains from the water pipe, I forgot whether it is clock-wise or anti-clockwise. She `found' that this was difference from the North Hemisphere. I am not bring up the subject of the North or South debate but just my thoughts. If you were to ask me, my believe like others in the Feng Shui field is that the Feng Shui model plus Destiny models originating from the North Hemisphere (where China is) can be applied without modification in the Southern Hemis…

Dear Anon, To be honest, if it cannot be physically moved, not much one can do. Under the commonsense approach to Feng Shui, just make sure that usually the sewerage pipe (which is located in the kitchen and hopefully not directly above the stove) is in good repair. The commonsense, here is that should such a pipe burst, the kitchen area, items may be contamined with bateria such as e-coli and others. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Anonymous wrote: My cooking stove is immediately beneath a toilet bowl upstair. What does this imply? What are the remedies without moving the cooking stove. 1. Feng Shui is not about numbers. Except under the Compass School; Flying Star and vertical Feng Shui; where each level is considered to have different qi influence. 2. Thus if your is a landed property, there is no specific theory or concept associated with Feng Shui on house numbers. 3. What you mentioned comes under another complete area: Numerology. And numerology, can have many origins: Chinese: personal lucky kua or Gua number etc..., Indian astrology and even Western astrology and many many forumlas. 4. Since there can be many formulas; it is common sense that there will also be different "answers". 5. Since your question is 50/50 question: Good or Bad, it is equ…

Dear Val, Understand that there will be a confusion. In fact, quite recently, there is an earlier forum message seeking clarification of Gua 5 (Kua 5). Please do a SEARCH for the above. The rationale is because when the calculation "hits" Gua 5, it is re-directed to the correct Gua / Kua based on male or female. By-the-way (BTW), therefore " Gua 5 " is actually the centre Gua. And since there are only eight sectors, there is no such thing as an actual centre Gua / Kua 5. Please go to the earlier message and you can find out more. Warmest Regards, Cecil Much

Hopefully the cellar is dry and not damp. The above may not be exactly what you are facing, now. You can monitor the damness using a hydrometer for moisture. Too much moisture is a growth culture for bacteria etc....

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Hi Master Cecil I have a one big rectangular mirror placed in my dining room. Under feng shui is it gd to place it? Generally, mirrors under feng shui can bounce double the good or bad luck depending on where it is placed. The more appropriate is to avoid:- 1. Placing mirror where it bounces the Qi out of the houses. For example if you open a door and immediately see a mirror, any good qi that is trying to enter into the house, may be bounced right out of the house. 2. Mirror must either be a single piece or 3 pieces. Never double, as when you view it is like you are being divided. Which can signify divorce. 3. Mirrors in bathrooms is or i…

Just an update on what's happening... Hope nobody minds my sharing again. My dad now sleeps in the extra room which I fixed up especially for him. His insomnia is gone and he's more energetic now (he was dancing this morning and he even gave me a big loving hug which really surprised me). Before, he used to hold grudges, and all day long he'd always think of negative thoughts. He'd usually be depressed and would always seem so tired and would want to sleep, leaving work unfinished and unattended. Now he says he feels so light, and when I took a peek at him a while ago, he was actually working on the papers of the property he left unfinished for ages. As for me, this mo…

Dear Chloee, 1. Generally, what this means is that the house may not be that suitable to you and your boyfriend. Under the Eight House concept, there is really not much one can do here but to understand Para 1. 2. Other considerations are: 2.1 Hopefully, this house has excellent or good Shapes and Forms. Usually, if a house has a quantum leap in Feng Shui such as mentioned under Para 2.1; although the house may not be that suitable to the owners, it can still bring great wealth, harmony especially if the Shapes and Forms is excellent. 2.2 The other method is to check on the birth chart of the house such as using Flying Star. Some of us, may not want to dwell deeper using …

Frankly, this is the first time I heard of "weird things" like using wood chips in Feng Shui! If in doubt, always contact the owner who gave you this information. In my opinion, to most of us, it can mean anything under the sky.

These are some considerations:- 1. Just imagine humans are not exactly homogeneous! 2. In the past, I mentioned: some of us can sleep like a pig; with mirrors all over our bedroom; but some feel very uncomfortable! 3. One of my main examples was: that in some Feng Shui books; it states that when we sleep; it is said that our spirit wakes up and if there is a mirror; it see's itself in the mirror and goes into shock! 4. I had also mentioned; what happened if the spirit is more extrovert? It likes to see itself in the mirror; to check if the hair is not in a mess. If so, the spirit would want to comb hair before flying off to meet one's friend. 5. Again it is like some of u…

In my opinion, the most common colour for a home ceiling is white. There are also trends: for example; around ten years ago; many new developments especially condominium units use barley white for both the interior walls and even the ceilings. There are homes that uses wooden beams and planks especially, those per-war homes in Singapore. Since these are natural wood; they are often brown or wood tone colour. So far hardly ever come across ceiling in grey especially for homes. Some business establishment does use such colours. The adage is if not sure; don't use it applies.

Hi, To find out what's wrong, if you are able to determine your main entrance door, Please e-mail us privately i.e. to robert-lee@3dmail.com so that we will provide you free credit for Pillars of Destiny and Flying Star Chart. The above reports will help you understand the birth chart of your home. At the meantime, you can also in general generate the free Eight House Chart at www.geomancy-online.com to find out the suitability of the house in relation to yourself or the breadwinner. Here, it is best that the death and disaster intangible force does not flow thru the main door. Also the bedroom should not have the above influence. Warmest Regards, Cecil Lee

Dear Anon, Before, I go into the question, just to let you know that you do need to post a few messages in the forum. As this forum is moderated to ensure 100 percent `flame free', your message will appear on the forum once it is reviewed. The rationale is because at the last count there are at least 7,000 users listening in to the forum and we cannot afford to have a inconsiderate flamer or spammer on this forum. To answer your question: 1. Under the Eight House Theory, if the deathline falls on the main entrance door, this is considered the most " unsuitable " house for the `breadwinner'. 2. Other considerations under the Eight House Theory is that under condition 1, …

Dear Anon, We live in a real world and if we like in a studio apartment, we should not worry unduly about its effect on Feng Shui. You can still apply Feng Shui concepts: 1. Ideally, if the entire studio apartment is one open area, we can artificially provide sections e.g. between the kitchen and say the living room or the bedroom, have a `partition' such as an eating counter etc.. 2. For the living room, or bedroom, leave a `gap' or a short distance between say the bed and the other `rooms'. 3. It is not compulsory but some actual examples also include the using carpets to have an outline between one area e.g. the living room and other areas. (This is not compulsory) bu…

Dear Anon, So far, I have not come across such a message in this forum. Brooms are considered inauspicious objects and should not be hung outside the main door. The only questions, I remembered users posting was when one should not sweep the floor (i.e. especially on Chinese New Year day) Warmest Regards, Cecil
