Dear Anon, 1. I am afraid, this is another marketing gimmick. Although, it may sound authentic, but unfortunately, this is too general to be of any use to anyone. 2. For example, lets say, everyone in this forum, hears of this and go buy one. And given that the odds are stacked against a gambler, mathematically (probability), it would only a few can win. 3. Going forward, it is truly hard to imagine; that if 1,000 users in this forum do so; how many can win? 4. It would not be good enough that 1 person has won but the remainer 100,000 folks out there which tried it will work. It is beyond comprehension, how it can help us. We all can guess who will be richer i.e. the pers…

Dear Jez, It is difficult to deduce that your luck has changed because you are away from home and staying at your friends place that may have resulted in `losing' some money. This is because there are a few Feng Shui or Feng Shui related tools that need to be `analysed' in relation to yourself. This can be quite complex as it may involve:- 1. On certain days, our `luck' changes based on your personal main element and its strength (Pillars of Destiny) 2. Your friend's house ch'i influence on you. 3. Other factors e.g. Casion's payout rate in relation to winnings (is usually weighed against the player) In addition to the above, there can be more variables that can add to th…

1. Statistically, even locally in my country, all landed property estates with semi-detached homes will have homes that mirror each other. Some homes with garage to the "right" and some with garage to the "left". 2. In my opinion, the comments by the building contractor is purely "kindergarten" type of Feng Shui. There are thousands - and - one more concerns that are more important than this. Some of them are listed in the link below:- http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/Want_to_build_your_dream_home%3F 3. As we all know especially semi-detached homes, it is a set of two homes mirrored at the "centre". And locally, there are LOTS of such homes. 4. More importantly: Locatio…

Dear Anil, In my opinion, what you described is minor or really not much of an issue as it is felt that the movement of your personal vehicle is at low speed and unlike on a road. And would normally not cause Sha qi. Unless (I believe this is quite remote) that particular sector of the bedroom has a flying star combination of #2 with #3 (which would require `stillness' or `quietness' at that sector. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hello Cecil Lee, I bought a house with front door which is facing SW 3 & i have a garage in the south sector which i believe is the auspicious sector in period 9. Also due to the fact that we have a water star 9 in the south. The garage is also facing the main entrance/gate. I can enter the house through the front door or through the garage. As i understand from various forums, having garage in auspicious sector is a wasted opportunity. So, what can i do/ remedies to tap in the good energy of south sector and make use of it ? Regards Kali

Dear Jason, Usually, it would depend greatly on your personal Ba Zi i.e. the position of the main entrance door rather than the position of the garage whether it be at the left or right side. As this changes totally the main door direction. If you like to consider, there is a specific report that we have specifically tailormade to look at Good Houses. This is the Paid Good House Report. And it analyses all 24 directions = 360 degrees and specific to e.g. the breadwinner. In my opinion, this is a worthwhile consideration and the direction of the main door can be an advantage for a new house/and for the owner. Warmest Regards, Cecil Lee

1.Check to see if it is feasible for the "back" to enjoy goodfrontage? Yes/No?For example, can activity area be at the back. Or it happens to be the kitchen, the linen area, laundry etc..And/or is the Flying Star qi there good to be the facing. 2. Ifyou had explored the back area and found it unsuitable, then, you may have to depend on the frontage. 3. If the garage is fully closed area;and if the qi coming from the frontage is suppose to be good, then,Yes, the qi can bewasted, here. 4. Alternatively, if youstill have frontage such as windows or asecond floor, thentry toopen the windows at this frontage areaas much as possible, if you do not wish to renovate your garage…

Hello Master Lee, Thank you in advance for your help. My question relates to the position of the garage relative to the house. As far as I understand it is better to have the garage detached from the main house and set back from the front of the house / front door. However, my mother has this set up and nobody (neither people living there nor visitors) ever uses the front door of the house. Everybody enters the house via the side door or backdoor / laundry room door which is near the garage, driveway and parking area. We live in Canberra, Australia where it gets very cold and people want to get into the house as quickly as possible especially if carrying groceries or othe…

Dear Anon, There is really nothing you can do except to consider placing a potted plant (if this is possible) on the left side of the door. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Robert Lee, Thank you for the advice. I also have studyed a few books and websites and togheter I came with a basic design. However there are a few questions I still have and then I think I can start. 1) do i need to use the compas for obtaining the north? some books refer to not use the compas but to look at the entrance of the house from the centre of the garden. The left is always east (dragon) and the right is west (metal). This makes also the back of the garden always north. What is best to be used? compas are face... 2) My terras is in square form, how can i get rid of de bad vibes? 3) water is placed agaist the terras, this is not a problem? Also i…

Dear Anon, Quote: I wish totransform this area to a garden with proper lanscaping, will this affect my house's feng shui negatively? Most houses typically have a solid tile roof. Thus, there isn't much true resources in the past about such a concept since there isn't such a situation in the past. So this is a more of a modern time situation. However, my view of rooftop garden is actually good. Especially, because plants tend to act as shade for the roof. Thus, cools down the house. So garden for rooftop is fine. However, water feature on top of the roof will need to be avoided, as you do not want to have water over your head. This is like drowning your wealth. What yo…

Dear Anon, There is much truth in this statement: 1. Grass or grass that is regularly `trimmed' is the near equivalent to a water position. The logic behind it is clear. Grass allows the space to be flat and clear of obstructions. 2. If one plant a tree, in no time, it will outgrow its size and become large. It is inauspicious particularly to grow a lone tree on the side of a house. A lone tree in Feng Shui implies that the tree can harbour a spirit. A large tree at the front of the house (e.g. on either side of the main door) creates a Yin environment. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Please see below:- Generally, it is acceptable to plant the additional flower bushes. Like all plants, they need frequent trimmings (especially, if they had grown / mature). Usually, there is no specific plants that one should keep, but rather, plant plants that are commonly found to thrive and flower in my specific country. It would be nice to see the flowers bloom. Yes, we live in a practical world. Where, we do have things that we keep near our bed. Usually, one do not need to shift it. The only thing is if we can try (where possible to avoid) a sharp corner (if we can). But as you mentioned that it is a small cupboard, it is still acceptable to lea…

1. It is best to check whether the NW sector of your interior apartment is not a "missing corner". If so, and if you have a garden, it is good to either use landscaping to form an outline of the "missing corner" or install a light at the corner of the NW to "extend" the missing corner. 2. Generally, if this is the exterior of the home (apartment), then often, planting greenery is acceptable. I see that you are not applying Flying Star Feng Shui. But rather, trying to apply "fixed template" or looking at at sector and looking at what colours are best for it. 3. In my opinion, always try to keep the garden as "natural" as possible. Thus, plants are acceptable. If Flying …

Dear Anon, It is certainly good indeed that you took the effort to clarify. As most of us know, each situation would differ and that there is usually no `hard and fast' rule. And two way communication is great. Please see below:- Yes, I was referring to sites or land area where the trees are `pretty' close to the buildings or houses. Trees such as 5 to 10 feet away. But in your case, it is quite far away at 20 or more feet. This is OK. Overall, I am an expert on trees or plants. But, I noticed that usually when majority of them grow larger i.e. within 3 to 5 years, (SOME) of these trees can get quite large and planting them within short distances may not be idea…

Dear Susan, In Chinese culture, many traditional buildings have e.g. lions guarding the main entrance or other `fierce' creatures placed e.g. on a building. Thus, in my opinion, the "Gargoyles" that you had mentioned, served a similar purpose in some `western' buildings. For the Chinese, it is quite common to find a pair of dragons or a dragon "guarding" each side of the roof. However, this is usually found on temple roofs only. Most homes do not use such figurines. In Feng Shui, if it is a `public' building e.g. Chinese Chamber of Commerce Building or other public buildings that has a traditional touch, would usually place two lions on each side of the main entrance. War…

Dear Master Cecil, Please kindly advise if it is ok for one to run the gas pipe above the kitchen entrance according to the below floor plans (the RED line indicates the intended gas pipe routing to the cooker hob). Is it against good feng shui if one is to enter or exit the kitchen entrance with the gas pipe that is being installed above the kitchen entrance? We have a concern if it is good for one to walk through the kitchen entrance with the gas pipe above one's head. Is it better for us to choose the gas pipe routing in the clockwise manner or anti-clockwise manner? Many thanks in advance for your advice. …

Traditionally, this "clash" does not affect one's wealth. Especially if both neighbour's and your main entrance does not face each other directly. It may be considered to affect relationship with the "neighbour". Thus, if your company does not have any direct dealings with the opposite neighbour, then, no major issue. Anonymous wrote: We are building our office. We are on the last part of the construction and we noticed that our gate is directly opposite our neighbors gate. I know that gates facing each other is not very lucky, what do we do? Should we put a wall instead? But if we do put a wall, then we would have no garage. Help.

Hi, The `secret' ingredient for Garden Feng Shui is always -> Plants/Trees. This is because with surrouding Plants/Trees, you get birds coming to the house. It is good to have birds around the house and this is considered auspicious. In general, it is equally good to have a bird feeder so long as: 1. It is not of an " odd " shaped that may represent a `monster', or any unknown figurine. 2. It does not have pointed arrows that point towards the main entrance door or a window of the house. 3. Any objects or figurines with open mouth pointing towards the house. I remembered reading one of Evelyn Lips book where there was this "frog" with an open mouth facing a rich man's…
