In my opinion, especially Tai Chi is a slow but (calculated to strengthen) since it has always been one of the most popular activities especially for the "aged"; I feel that it is OK. (Subject of course to the caution: that some who have certain health concerns; check with their personal doctor, first.

Dear Anon, Thanks for the sketch! The "overhead" beam that you had mentioned (illustrated) is very common situation. If one looks carefully, with a pillow, the head will (never) be under this beam. If so, there is no issue at all! It is not the same as having an overhead beam right across one's body or the overhead beam is in the middle of the bed. If so, this is a concern. But in your illustration, to be sure, one can even pull the bed head further out or leave a few inches gap between the bedhead and the wall. If so, there is no issue in neutralising it. Yes, you are correct, traditionally, all the methods you had mentioned are to neutralise a beam. While the …

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I reliase that my wealth sector is located in the toilet and store. How can i maximise my wealth sector to benefit me financiallyor minimise my losses (as financially i have not been doing well). If your wealth stars falls in your toilet or storeroom area, you will not be able to maximise or activate that wealth luck. In fact, if the wealth stars falls in your toilet, it will symbolise a leak of your wealth. One method is to place a chinse hulu (bottle gourd) usually to help minimise this is to attempt to symoblically trap the some of the wealth before it leaks out. If it the wealth area falls in your storeroom, then you can't benefit from …

  4. Dear Anon, Usually from the frontage of the house, both sides (left and right) should be balanced. So far, I seldom have ever come across a house where (from the frontage) it looks unbalanced at either side unless it is a large building. If so, this should not be a factor. It is not correct to say that the tiger side gets `stronger' than the dragon side. The only factor is that it is ideal condition if the dragon and tiger embrance i.e. Dragon is usually taller and tiger shorter. It can be a hill or landmark (true dragon /tiger) or a false dragon or tiger such such a road etc... Usually, the shape and form of a building should be "whole" and not of odd shape especially i…

Dear Anon, 1. The Ngee Ann City has twin towers and is shaped more like a `U' shape to catch wealth. 2. Since there are twin (identical towers) on both sides of the main entrance, it is good to have the water fountain at the centre-point of the frontage. For water flow, it is usually auspicious to have it flow inwards towards the building rather than flowing out (or letting wealth flow out). 3. The reason for the huge distance between the fountain and the main entrance is that since this is quite a large project/development, it is good to have a good balance of a wide frontage or clear space at the front of the building. 4. The two support columns are in pairs and can be …

Dear Anon, I have not go into detail the exact months based on what you have mentioned. I personally think it is not as important for the following reason: 1. I understand early this year that a book author had spelt doom for many people that they must try to control the South sector in their home. This include asking the autor's readers to place a certain remedy at this particular South location else it spells trouble. The termed is called the bad Five Yellow (where 5 stands for Earth element which is yellow). Personally, I have not heeded this " advise ". The main reason is that this is based on the Flying Star Chart for this lunar year. This Yearly Flying Star Chart i…

Dear Linda, 1. For those who have not seen the write-up, it is at: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/face.htm 2. Face reading is an `intergral part' of Geomancy. 3. Looks like most of the moles mentioned are `inauspicious'. 4. Yes, it is my personal belief that removing the moles would invariably change the `fortune' of a person. It is only my opinion. However, I am not sure if there are any scars if if any on the face. Thus, I hope, you understand that I cannot be held responsbile for such an advise. 5. I remembered that some people have a novel way of removing their moles i.e. use one's hair thread and tie a nose and a knot around the mole using the piece of hair. Let the mole…

  9. Dear Anon, Usually these sha qi are `commissioned' without any intention to hurt other buildings. For example, the hanging mobiles I shown under the conference Picture Tour - is owned by Singapore Airlines. It happens to be their Office building. I believe the shape of the hanging mobiles represent the `movement' of clouds etc... It is good for you to point out this information. The morale of this `story' that under the Shapes and Form School, we must constantly scan the environment near us (our home/office etc...) for such threats. Many a times, a new construction next to e.g. your office space may inadvertently (either intentionally or unintentionally) bring sha qi (poi…

  10. Dear Kate, If your business is experiencing financial difficulties and is situated in an office rather than your home, the Feng Shui of the home will typically have a reduced impact on the office. In such cases, it is recommended to conduct an office audit. Regarding the sloping ceiling: 1. The higher the slope, the less auspicious it is considered to be. 2. One option for those sleeping under a sloping roof is to use a poster bed, although this may be more expensive. Alternatively, cloth material can be placed to act as a barrier against the sloping ceiling. In addition to the above, the principle of 'If you do not see it, it no longer becomes a cure' appl…

Dear Wasis, Further to what I mentioned below: 1. What I mentioned refers more towards visit / condolence for a `natural' death such as cancer, heart attact, old age etc... (Accidents e.g. car accidents included) 2. For death due to suicide, murder etc... For suicide, most of the cases, in my country the police would handcuff the dead as he/she had committed a crime. For example, if it looks like a clear case of suicide e.g. jumping down a high storey. Some Chinese belief, that after visiting such cases, they would normally, prior to this buy flowers e.g. lily and some lime. When they bathe themselves, they would pour the fiower and lime over their heads. After bathing, …

Dear Cheui May, 1. The `advantage' you mentioned is the belief that the higher the ceiling, the better it is for such a `configuration'. 2. The best `agent' is to use a poster bed e.g. with a cover e.g. lace or cloth on the top of the bed. 3. If the bed is properly positioned under Shapes and Form and in terms of air or Qi disbersement i.e. avoid stale air e.g. at corners, it is normally acceptable situation. I believe that this is considered a `secondary' problem or situation. There are far worse problems than the above. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, I do not see a problem having a baby in an inauspicious year because, in general, the report is based on the entire year's influence. Here, you will notice that analysis can go further into each month even days and hours. Not all months or days in that year are considered inauspicious to you. It is only a general analysis. Personally, I feel that it is rather not to plan such events. Let nature take it's course. There are many couple who had approached me or many FS consultants to choose dates for the birth of their child. You can consider this `playing' with nature. For one, many a times, if it is a natural birth, it is seldom or rare to find that the date ch…

Dear Master Cecil First of all I want to thank you and Robert Lee for all the advices and compliment to you guys on how great this site is. I have a question in which room should I place the 6 coins and the huluhung on the bedhead. Should I hung at the kids room orat our master bedroom. I read in your forum that the6 coins (s'pore coins) scotched tape them on a red paper. As red is to control the metal element. Yes, thanks for your concern. I'll monitor the situation. Thank you in advance With warmest regards Sophia Chia

Thanks for the photos. These are some considerations: 1. Since the offending post is "smack" against the main entrance door; thus the best "solution" is to consider a potted plant with lots of leaves (not another barren tree trunk type of plant) against this post. Ideally the potted plant is plus or minus = around 3/4 height of the entire entrance door. 2. The weak alternative is hanging a 6 hollow rod wind chime. 3. The rest of the concern like railings.. no choice. Thus, in my opinion, therefore, if you are allowed to place a potted plant; then this can be the best solution.

    1. Frankly, location, location, location is the first importance. 2. For example, the external environment, the site, the block and lastly the unit are equally important. 3. Thus for a better understanding, Feng Shui should be looked in under all areas of Para 2. 4. Yes, usually, the master bedroom is at one end of unit. (in most cases). If in doubt, always try to forgo that unit, unless you sought professional advice (e.g. to review it's layout plan vis-a-vis the compass directions etc..) Quote: Lee I. wrote: I would like to know whether I should purchase a unit where the master bedroom is not the end of the apartment. The common bedroom is at the end.

  19. Dear Anon, One has to do a full Feng Shui audit in order to look at e.g. the attic or basement etc.. from many angles such as Shapes and Form, Flying Star analysis etc... Therefore, I prefer not to `generalise' and make everyone follow a set principle. Each house differs and one should gather a total picture to make a final analsis. I hope you can understand my concern and reason for not stereo typing every situations as they can lead to a `misunderstanding'. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  20. Dear Rick Chong, Rick Chong wrote: I check the 4 pillars and noted that i am a weak earth person. i have 2 earth, 3 metal & 1 hidden, 2 water, 1 wood and no fire. Born in sept month of autumn. Frankly, there is more than just the number of each element. The element strength of each element is also important ie. 2 Strongest Earth will be very much different from 2 Extremely weak Earth. So to know the exact percentage of each element, you need to assess the 4 pillars in detail before one can tell you exactly which element you need more or less. In addition, you need to consider all the combinations and clash that can alter your elements in your chart. However, …

    1. It is highly unusual for three "normal" sized rooms to straddle the north compass direction. Usually at most two rooms are affected. 2. These are some of the considerations:- 2.1Are there any windows in these rooms? Yes/No? 2.1 Even if there are windows, are there any that are larger? 2.3 Even if we do have windows, are they opened all (most) of the time? If the window(s) are not opened, for example, seldom if ever opened, then qi will often not flow. So no issue - no need for a cure. 2.4 Are any of these rooms occupied or unoccupied? If unoccupied, or not a bedroom, then no need to place any cures. 3. If these are not bedrooms, then one may consider a wind chime…

Dear Ceilia, Can I check with you is your house built between 1984 to this year? If it is built in Period 7, where centre is the current prosperity sector, it would be better to use Green carpet. As centre of the house is also of the yellow element, Green represents wood would help to neutralise the earth element (as Wood destroys earth). As for Red which represents the Fire element, my advise is to keep this element off the centrepoint of the house The above is based on preliminary analysis based on generalised FS without taking into consideration your personal elements/strengths. It is based more on analysis of the home. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  24. 1. Frankly, all these depends on the individual, especially for those seeking advise from their own "elderly" family members. 2. Many in the past has done paperwork or even placed a deposit on a new home (condo). 3. As your first appointment is only paper transaction, purely this is acceptable and not physical entry or ownership of the home as yet. 4. Personally I feel that it is acceptable. Anyway, 19 September 2009 is the start of the Chinese 8th lunar month.

  25. Dear Louis, One technique is to hang a mirror. It need not be full length but should cover the head, face and the upper part of the body. However, before doing so, it would best to look at the sector based on Flying Star theory to make sure that the location is not inauspicious. If the location is auspicious, placing the mirror is acceptable. But if it is an inauspicious location, placing a mirror will bounce back twice the bad luck. The mirror is used (in consideration) of the above so that it extends the pillar outwards. Without further information, I am unable to comment further. Warmest Regards, Cecil
