Dear Anon, 1. One thing for sure, most of us would (intuitively) feel uncomfortable about this - especially if; one leaves one's main door open. 2. Yes, it is best to take a `peep' on the type of god that they are worshipping (other than their ancestor tablet). 3. Here, it is important to have an idea what they are `doing'. 3.1 For example, if they are worshipping a statue of a buddha and/or Goddess of Mercy; This would imply that their main purpose is for the " Protection " of their home. 3.2 But if they are worshipping " God of Wealth " or any other figurines holding e.g. a long sword; then this can be considered as a `sha' qi. 3.3 For example, Para 3.2 can be considere…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: My greetings for 2007 to you and all. Are there any taoist amulets or blessed papers you have one can print for this year? thanks Feng Shui is not really a religion. True Feng Shui is all about best colour scheme, best placement, most suitable house to create a harmonious environment etc. No charms or religion or worshipping are involved. True feng shui also do not rely on any feng shui items (ie 3 legged wealth toad etc). Since you are looking or taoist related items, you would be better off consultinga taoist priest. They will be in a better position to provide you with what you are looking for. Hope that that helps. Warmest Regards Robe…

Dear Vijay, Yes, it is not Feng Shui but rather Pillars of Destiny that can help one to draw a Company Logo or the visiting card. For example, if you are a weak wood, having a logo in blue, with wavy lines helps to strengthen your weak self with water, or using a logo in yellow or brown, and with a square shape does help you increase your wealth deities. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. Unfortunately, Eight House analysis helps define suitability issues. It is very difficult to correct a suitability issue. I mean if a house facing does not fit you, the only way you can correct it is to move out to another house which fits you or make correcting to the location of the door. So in such situations, you do not really have much choice of correcting this one flaw. That is why it is important that when you first obtain the house, these issues should be checked first. Issues like flying star problems can be corrected, but not suitability of the house to you. 2. However, you do not need to worryso much as Spook or Irritation are not as bad as Dea…

These are some considerations: 1. From a symbolism point of view; many geomancers would often say that it is considered inauspicious to have "broken glass". 2. A few years ago, a client of mine nearly wanted to install a creative piece of two pieces of acrylic with broken glass sandwiched in-between. But, as a Chinese, on her own, she felt uncomfortable having such a piece in her home. 3. Under symbolism and a belief or conception, thus, it is considered inauspicious. 4. From a common sense approach, some again feel unease if broken glass is lying around.. for both humans especially children and pets like dogs who might just swallow them... I know this is not "possible" g…

Thank you, Cecil. I know it's tough to answer my question like that. I just wanted to make sure that even if it doesn't help enhance/cure, it will not be a diaster or backfire to do it either. Thank you once again. Tam

Dear Anon, Based on your description (below), it does not sound serious. This is because it does not seem that the old tree "slices" into the main door nor the front gate. So long as it does not "slice" thru a window, this is perfectly acceptable given also that the tree is across the street. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Sandra, There are two issues here: 1. A mirror facing a window. 2. Whether the wall or the location around the wall is auspicious or inauspicous. Usually, it is best not to have a mirror facing a window. But this depends on how far away the mirror is. The rationale behind this is that if this is the frontage of your house, it is best to allow natural lighting flow into the house. If there are poison arrows outside the house, it would most likely reflect into the house onto the mirror and cause `twice' the problem as a mirror image has been created within the house. If it happens to be an inauspicious sector under Flying Star analysis, you will bounce back twice the `…

Dear Ann, No. Should concentrate on the MS# with WS#. For example under Period 8, all centre palace has base = #8. But when determing the characteristics of the centre palace, often MS# with WS# are taken into account. Normally, the base = #8 remains "silent". Warmest Regards, Cecil

1. The Eight House (Eight Mansions) concept is "fixed". For example, as you had mentioned, if north is your favourable direction, then most likely you are an East group person i.e. your "overall" good or acceptable directions are " North, South, East and South East". 2. While Flying Star, as you had mentioned, is based on "star numbers" and their combined significance. 3. There are situations where a room can be surrounded by bad stars. Some rooms or some homes depending on the flying star numbers may even be affected by truly bad stars such as #5 #9 #5. If so, it is very difficult to disarm such stars. While rooms with #2 and #9 could most likely generallybe neutralis…

Hi, I believe this is more a modern `invention' and really `too significant' for true authentic Feng Shui practise. I believe, it is a commonsense approach to have the light behind you. Perhaps, if our eye sight get bad because of such advise, can we claim from the author who mentioned this? In my opinion, if some of the Past or Dead Feng Shui Masters got to hear of this, they may either have a good laugh about this or truly shake their head or `cry in despair' at how modern people practise " Feng Shui ". Warmest Regards, Cecil

Respected Sir, Thank you for your guidance on the issue of my flat. I sincerely apologize for the following: 1) My DOB which is 25.08.1968. 2) Secondly for the purpose of 8 rod metal windchime in the northeast window. I read in one of the FENG SHUI books locally in Mumbai (India) that hanging a 8 rod metal windchime in THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF THE HOUSE/LIVING ROOM INVITES INFLUENTIAL PEOPLE. I will be in touch with you as for more queries on my family members.

Dear Sandi, 1. Based on what you had mentioned, you should not have a problem in the situation where although the front and back door are directly opposite each other. As, there is a wall between the two front and back door. 2. In Feng Shui, it is advisable not to be under a sloping roof. However, this is much better than directly under (sitting) under a beam. The higher the ceiling the better. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Leslie, Traditional Feng Shui is about Yin and Yang. Further down the chain, on the next level is the Five Elements concept. 1. For example, a normal mirror is considered a `Yin' object. 2. Mirrors are known to be able to bounce Qi (or Ch'i energy). For concepts like the Eight Aspirations / Eight Associations, this is one of the `lowest' or least important aspect in Feng Shui. One reason for saying this is because it is too general a theory as it does not apply to a specific group of person but to nearly everyone. Imagine, if everyone in the same company or for the matter the whole country tries to enhance their `Career' sector what would be the result like? Unlike…

Dear Sunny, Please see below:- Based on your description, it looks like a poison arrow ie. especially if it slices through the main entrance door. I posted a message: What is the `Triangle Effect?' under the conference: Photo Tours of Interest. For you to have a better understanding of the situation. This should not be an issue in the living room. Normally, it should be placed closer to one side of the wall rather than placed in the centre of the living room. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Since youintend to do a major renovation, then try to select the latest date. It is good to just see which period is better. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Anonymous wrote: It is a2 story house that used to be 2separate houses, one donwstairs and oneupstair. The first story (house nr.1) was built in 1956, the second story (house nr.2) in 1981........ andifwebuy the house we would do a mayor renovation in order to conect both houses and transform them in only one house.

1. Feng Shui is a holistic approach. Andit is prematureto offer any solutionwithout investigative work done. 2. Might as well, use the "Flip a coin" method: Heads orTails senario.

1. In my opinion; you should seriously look at this: http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/The_Three-Step-Approach 2. What is the key factor about the Eight House Theory? 2.1. CLUE: SPENDING time or NOT SPENDING time at the sector? 2.2. In many past forum messages, this theory is about how long one spents time (if any). 3. Your answer can be found under Para 2.2 (above). 4. Please note that the Eight House and Flying Star BELONGS to the SAME (practising) SCHOOL of COMPASS SCHOOL FENG SHUI. 5. Under Flying Star Feng Shui; the MOUTH of the house is considered important. You keep on talking about the "Main door" .. the main door... 6. Please put on the thinking cap and re-read this…
