Thank you for your reply. Regarding drawing the sectors, our unit is an elongated rectangle, so there is a difference if I draw wedges or 9 rectangles. For instance, according to the 9 rectangles all of my son's room is in the south, whereas by the wedges radiating from the center at least half of it is in the southwest. My question about the computer was, how to decide in which sector to put it and which direction it should face, if the different users have different good or bad sectors or directions? Should I make it best for the person who spends the most hours at it? Or for the person who is in charge of technical maintenance and knows the most about it? Thank you Mir…

Dear Doris, There are several dimensions of Feng Shui or degrees of "understanding" what is good or bad Feng Shui. For example: 1. Enhancing Qi Some Feng Shui actions or activities are to enhance qi or to boost qi in a home. For example such as activating #8 under Flying Star Feng Shui. Where especially #8 has to do with the current water wealth location. 2. Neutralising Sha Qi or Poison arrows There are also imbalances caused e.g. by a pointed roof aimed towards our home e.g. a lone street lamp slicing into our main entrance etc... 3. Commonsense approach to Feng Shui Fortunately, from what I can gather, yours has to do with a toilet above the main entrance door…

  6. Dear Ber I really sympathise with you on this. It has more to do with e.g. personalities, experiences and even the person's upbringing i.e. human aspects than Feng Shui. I really wish I can help you but it is not within the true aspects of Feng Shui. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Recently I was in a store that sells decorative items, and I saw some items using copies of the "ancient Chinese coins" with the square hole in the middle. However, these coins were of various sizes, some very large and some very small, and arranged in different ways not similar to what you have shown in this site. I was thinking of buying one of these items and taking it apart to use the coins from it in the proper arrangement. Is it important what size these coins are? Is there a minimum size or a standard size? How can I tell if the coins I saw are ok to use for this purpose? Miriam

  8. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: We're are in the process of looking for another house. If we want to look for a house facing South, is it necessary to look for new houses i.e. build in the new period after 2004 or can we just buy a second hand house that's build in period 7 but facing south? Is there any difference buying a period 7 house and period 8 house? I feel that as long as we get a suitable house facing south, that would suffice. Would appreciate your early reply. Ideally, since we are already in a period 8 influence. It will make more sense to purchase a house that is built in period 8. This will avoid the need to worry about whether or not you need to fly a period…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: If theside ofthe office desk is facing half of the staircase. Is this bad for the person sitting there ? Anonymous wrote: The office desk have a partition that face the staircase. If the partition isn't there, then it is very bad. But with the partition, it helps to block the sha qi from the stairs, so it is not as bad. Like what we have been saying, whatever that you cannot see, no longer becomes a problem. So luckily, there is a partition that helps to block some of the Sha Qi to your sitting position. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Anon, Feng Shui in many instances can "boost" the luck for conception. Frankly, it depends greatly on location, location, location. Many who had seen success are those where many good Flying star numbers under the "mountain" star can be activated. For any home, HDB or landed property, proper accessment can be made to determine and activate Flying star numbers: 1. #8- current prosperity star: Mountain Star #8 and or Water Star #8 2. #9 - future prosperity star (This star (if possible) should be activated for middle aged couples trying to conceive. 3. #1 - future prosperity star. Usually effective if the Mountain star #1 is activated. Thus, one do not need to …

Dear Jojo, Under the Shapes and Form School, this is inherent with the unit i.e. you cannot do much here other than to balance the `yin' aspect to make the location more bright `yang' due to the lower level housing. Other than the above, more investigations can be done using the Flying Star to analyse the birth chart of the house. This is not compulsory. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Thank you SO much Master Lee. This has been a very confusing area for me during the 3 years I have studied tradtional Chinese feng shui. No one, until you, has explained the process of choosing a remedy (first Productive then Destructive). It is such a simple and basic point, yet if a student is not aware of it, it becomes quite a large issue. Once again THANK YOU!! Best Wishes, Oliv Sullivan

    1. You can use the Search feature on the left right frame of this forum to search for things like: "Change to Period 8" on past resources. 2. In my opinion, what you have described often does not change your house to a new Period. 3. Changing the stove alone to chnage the house period should again in my opinion to be taken with a pinch of salt. The saying goes.. if it sounds so good... it may not be far from the truth....

    1. The two stars #3 and #4 are associated or share the same significance. 2. Thus, not only just the annual #4 but also #3. 3. Common sense says that if one's water feature or position is of a certain size; it is not practical to shrink the water in such a feature too drastically. For example, if one has a fish tank. It is not practical to half-the water in such a water position. 4. Under the Five elements concept; so long as the water feature has all the five elements: then there is balance. For more information of what makes a well balanced water feature comprising all five elements: Resource: http://fountain.geomancy.net Para 2.1 to 2.12

Dear Stan, 1. It is difficult to give a general comment as to whether firstly: 1.1. A perceived threat is truly a threat 1.2 Even if it is a threat: often such a threat cannot be neutralised unless that specific threat e.g. is torn down. In all my messages, I often do not want to give false hope. It is akin to giving the party a sugar coated pill. It may perhaps sounds good but often in-effective. Especially for things like `penetrating' and other types of sha qi. 1.3 Frankly, it is therefore, very difficult here to pose a few lines of questions and a standard `stereo' type answer appears. 2. Overall, such specific case demands a full audit to access the situation both …

    1. It is good that you have observed that your daughter has "better" left brain skills (logical, mathematical...) than right brain (intuitive, subjective, spatial) skills. 2. In theory, better careers based purely on Ba zi for a weak wood person are careers in the water industry and wood industry. 3. Accountancy belongs to or is considered as a "metal" element career. Thus strickly based on ba zi to define a career, a weak wood person should be "surrounded" by water. As water supports wood. Only then can "metal" destroy (weak wood + water). 4. In my opinion, as parents, it is good to know but, I believe, you will also leave it to your daughter to pursue anything under …

In my opinion, if you are into DIY, these are some considerations: 1. You said "we have this wall facing my daughter's room." 1.1 I assume that you are referring to an extra block's wall. (As I always mention, often when some one writes texts, they assume that everyone else understands ?) 1.2 If assume it is Para1.1; then if there is a window of daughter's bedroom facing this wall; common sense says that her study table (if any) should not face this "wall" as often light can be reflectec into her room. 2. Your question about what cures etc.. This is very common: understand this term "TRIAGE" or search for this term.

Dear Nat, 1. Usually, the most effective method (especially) if there are no windows at this sector is the use of a full length mirror at this sector. 2. Only if the above resources are exhausted, should you then consider painting e.g. using a more yang colour. Between red or purple, I would choose purple as red can be too `bright' for the home. But if given the choice between pink or purple, I would instead choose pink colour. 3. You should check what is the significance of the missing corner. For example using the reference under this link: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/building.htm 4. If the missing corner (defined as greater than 33.3 percent of that sector) has a major …

  23. Dear Varnie, Please see below:- Frankly, it is difficult to relate what you have described under Traditional Feng Shui as no analysis is done using all three major forms of Feng Shui: Shapes and Form, Flying Star and in Eight House analysis. At the moment, all I can say is that for currently under Period 7 (if the house was built between 1984 to 2003) the base chart of a West house is considered `very auspicious'. (Not considering the mountain # or the water #). You also may have to determine whether the frontage is `dark' or `bright' depending on say the amount of light that filters into the house. Assuming, that since, the West is where the afternoon sun comes in, …

    1. The critical concern for a stove at the back of the home is to visual whether any "expected" high-pressure low-pressure situations occur usually before heavy rains start. 2. This is particuarly true for terrace homes where the openings are at the front of the home and the backyard side. 3. Thus the question asked is "how will changing air-pressures" have on the stove ie. extinguish the flame and let gas continue to flow dangeriously on or let the flame "shoot" out dangerously from the side or towards the front towards the operatior. 4. When all these considerations are looked at; we try also to see whether the stove can match the ba zi of the female breadwinner of…

  25. Dear Anon, The Chinese Animal Signs is based on Chinese Astrology. In a broad sense, it is the equivalent of say the `English' Astrology signs such as Gemini, Cancer etc... One should take note that Chinese Astrology is also called "Zi Wei Dou Shou". For those who are new and like to find out the 12 different Chinese animal signs can visit one of my earlier sites: http://www.lovesigns.net This site compares the compatibility based on a person's year of birth. One has to be cautious to use different animal signs to improve Feng Shui especially if one purchases `objects'. For example, it is in auspicious to place a picture of a hungry tiger who is on the `prowl' in the hom…
