Dear Anon, More importantly, you should have completed your renovations on or after Chinese New Year 2004. In addition, if you had given your townhousea fresh coat of paint then the better. In addition, if your townhouse feels fresh and does not have too much clutter all over, then there is a very high likelyhood, that you home can be considered as more of a Period 8 home. Warmest Regards, Cecil

These are some considerations:- 1. In general, often; the consensus of many geomancers is that id there is a DOUBLE #8's in say Period 8; one should not consider MS8 as standalone. 1.1. Many geomancers would often offer or recommend a "water position" for say a Double #8 sector in Period 8; a Double #9 sector in Period 9 etc... 1.2. Thus when the Double #8's meet; one should not think or pull out the roots of one's hair as to : if I use "water" to activate the Water star #8; what about the mountain stair #8 then? 1.3. A well balanced water position consists of all five elements: e.g. Metal (round); earth usually rectangular or granite or marble stones for the fountain; w…

Thank you so much for your reply I very much appreciate it. It has made things very clear for me and now I can proceed with confidence. I do have a very good compass and as a matter of interest if you have Google Earth and then zoom down to look at your property, at the top of the page in "TOOLS" there is an option for "RULER" click this and the click two points on your property this will give you a very accurate direction of your property. I have double checked this with my compass and it is very accurate. Of course not to be relied upon but as a way to double check it is invaluable. My best regards and thanks again. Dale.

Dear Anon, There is much truth in this statement: 1. Grass or grass that is regularly `trimmed' is the near equivalent to a water position. The logic behind it is clear. Grass allows the space to be flat and clear of obstructions. 2. If one plant a tree, in no time, it will outgrow its size and become large. It is inauspicious particularly to grow a lone tree on the side of a house. A lone tree in Feng Shui implies that the tree can harbour a spirit. A large tree at the front of the house (e.g. on either side of the main door) creates a Yin environment. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Hoa Luong, I reproduce the method for calculating the steps for the beneifit of some of the users, here:- --- Start --- Introduction: 1. In Feng Shui, there are two traditional methods of determining the number of steps. 2. The first method is a 3 number combination. Where the first two steps are Auspicious but the last step is inauspicious. METHOD 1 - THE THREE-STEP CYCLE ======== 3. Thus under the `Three-steps formula' step No. 1 (Auspicious), Step No. 2 (Inauspicious) while Step No. 3 is considered inauspicious. Usually this 3rd step is known as the `death' step. 3.1 Thus:- Following this method, one should be able to work out the number of steps:- 3.2 A…

1. The most likely facing direction should be "apartment building that is elevated above street level and is facing the ocean" or the apartment building "facing" direction. 2. If the home has a "known" history e.g. if one has stayed in this home for several or more years, can draw a chart based on Para 1 and usually another chart (standing inside the main entrance door looking outside of the home). These two are the main defacto "facing" directions commonly used by all professional Feng Shui practitioners. Michael K. wrote: Hello Master Lee!, I've read all the posts as you advised on front facing direction, now I'm really overwhelmed.I live in a 3 story apartment buildi…

Dear Regina, In my opinion, this is not a major issue. Unless, one has a huge pond that can support: flamingoes, ducks etc.... So far, bird-baths is not an issue. Birds coming to one's home is considered a "secret" weapon of Feng Shui, since, it suggests a place or location with (often with many trees/plants all round). This is indeed, very good. (But one must see what type of bird, is attracted to the place:) Hopefully not crows! *JOKE*) Warmest Regards, Cecil Regina Cohn

Dear Anon, This is a good question. Actually, what I am referring is Sha Qi due to poison arrows ie. poison arrows aimed at the main entrance for example. Or when your main entrance door directly face the a backdoor or windows. One has therefore to be careful that this concept of `what you can't see is no longer a threat'. The above is meant for visual objects and not meant to be applied to underground courses etc... It is totally different. It is good that you pointed out this and it is hoped that the above clearly explains the distinction. Another further distinction is because undergound water is considered `vapours' or the emission of vapours. It has been proven in i…

Dear Linh, Congratulations on your new home and thanks for the detailed description. Based on just the Shapes and Form School in relation to elevation, it is good to have the house slightly higher than its `surrounding'. Therefore based on what you had written, can be considered auspicious. Sometime back, there was an example from a Feng Shui author (I forgot which book) but the author mentioned that it is auspicious to have the car drive up to a higher level. The poor thing was that the car was driven above steps and in the result was that the car had higher repair bills. Some Feng Shui practioners asks some to walk up stairs (symbolic of a raise). I leave it to each …

I am very keen in getting a tattoo on the lower back and not bigger than our palm size, the design is based on the "karma" word, but i am not sure whether it'll be in chinese or sanskrit. My friend told me that tattoos will change a person's luck, so I am concerned and unsure if it will be a good idea to get one for myself. I'm born in 1985 and a female. Dear Master If my husband as the breadwinner chooses a house facing his favourable directions, i.e. North or East, this will meanunfavourable directions for my children and me, i.e. Death or Disasterfor my 2 children and Spook or Irritation for myself. Although favouable direction bedrooms can be allocated to my children, I'm still quite concerned over the effects on them. Should we or can we still choose a house that is facing North or East then?

Dear Anon, Actually, our free report will already give you that answer. Given the date of birth Male, 28 Jan 1964, Pig hour. You will be a Strong Fire. Element Strength Percentage 4 Water Extremely Weak 12 % 2 Wood Weakest 12 % 3 Fire Weak 28 % 3 Earth Strongest 46 % 0 Metal Strong 0 % This is because your five element percentage after calculating all the combinations and clashes will be as shown above. Dear Anon, Your question reminds one of the state regulations in Singapore. Where, we are only allowed to display the national flag prior to national day and must take it down within a reasonable date after the national day is over e.g. 1 month, later. Unlike in the US, where one can display the a reasonably good condition flag all year round. In your question, it would certainly make or sense to celebrate Chinese New Year (CNY) with the decorations. But after 15 days or slightly longer, it would not make much sense to display the decorations -- other than some Chinese continue to hang a red banner "Ang chai" all year round above their door. Once CNY is over, it is bes…

Dear Anon, I know that you like to know more about this theory, but as you know I have not released this report to all users. (Currently only previewable by Beta Testers.) The reason being is that I have yet to put in the explanation or have not been fine tuned to be ready for use. Please give me some time to concentrate on the development for the official release. Once I release the module for the public, it will be accompanied with explanation. And I will also post information relating to how to apply them and which tools takes priority over what. The main chart you see is a snapshot of improving a person's life and wealth. I actually did not want to release it until it…

Dear Jocelyn, Thank you for bring up this question. Presently there are many users in this forum and it is good to mention this subject. One way is by asking questions: 1. What is truly traditional Feng Shui practises? 1. At the highest form is called Taiji. 2. The next level is --> the Yin and Yang principle 3. One level below is --> the Five Elements Concept The highest form called Tai Ji is merely a term which we can broadly say that it is the union of Yin and yang in balance. All Feng Shui principles, theories and concepts must embody Yin and Yang. At the lower level is the Five Elements Concept. It is said that everything is made up of the Five Elements i.e. it…

Dear Joe, Glad to hear from you!:) 1. An alternative for closing the door is to keep the location bright. Under the Eight House Theory, it is best to concentrate on two primary locations: a. The bedroom (especially the master bedroom) b. The main entrance door. Overally, so long as the location is kept bright (natural lighting is the best) where the curtains are not too thick nor closed all the time. If one party likes privacy, and closes the door, the rest can leave their door open as you have mentioned to allow Qi to circulate. The other point is that if under the Flying Star Theory and so long as there is no 2 star (sickness) or 5 star (misfortune); between the two th…

Dear Cindy, When it comes to Feng Shui, one has to take note of two ingredients:- 1. Sit facing a good direction for study. (You can make use of the free reports at http://www.geomancy.net to generate a chart for your daughter. There is a free report specific to the placement of study postion. 2. Another critical factor is based on Shapes and Forms i.e. and it has to do with light filtering (or sometimes becoming a glare) into the windows to the bedroom. 2.1 For example, if the bedroom happens to face West directly. And there are no other buildings or trees to block out this sunlight. It can be difficult to do work if our table is against a window facing such a strong li…

Dear Daniel, I strongly encourage everyone to first grasp the fundamental principles of Feng Shui. When discussing two main doors, we are focusing solely on the 'end result' rather than the underlying causes of the situation. It is essential to comprehend the root of the matter; initially, the number of main doors—whether two or three—is not the primary concern. In 'proper' Feng Shui, if a house has two doors, it is advisable to conduct a Feng Shui audit to explore the scenarios associated with using Door A versus Door B. If one door is found to be more auspicious than the other, it is preferable to utilize that door more frequently for our own purposes. Our con…

Dear Anon, One observation in Singapore is that there are still many Geomancers; many only familiar with Eight House Theory and practising FS. Some of these practitioners started FS business as a novice, finding the simplicity of Eight House and have not upgraded themselves in their " FS careers ". Hopefully, they should compensate this with good Shapes and Form FS. The main worry about applying only Eight House or Flying Star is that these two theories should not be used in isolation. Many a times, one who only favours numerology i.e. Flying Star; may overlook the Shapes and Form. It is of no great value if it sounds nice on paper i.e. the stars looks great but everyting…
