  1. Dear Anon, Appreciate if you can elaborate further as to what you mean by bad Feng Shui at the main entrance i.e what is the poison arrow. Usually, there is currently not much information about the `effects' of using a cross on the main door for such a purpose. Warmest Regards, Cecil

These are TWO major considerations: A. Chinese customs and beliefs. B. Feng Shui 1. Under Chinese customs and beliefs: never move the current "marital" bed while pregnant or usually before one month after the 1st lunar month of giving birth. 2. However, if you no longer enter into that bedroom e.g. fly off to KL and never step foot back to your existing marital bed. 2.1 Then, after you had left the home, so long as you don't go back to see the bedroom with that bed; it is still considered acceptable. 2.2 Thus, if you completely left the bedroom; whatever is done to the existing bed is often considered a non-issue. 3. This is equally common. For example, often, a family s…

Dear Susan, It is quite common for the husband and wife to have "opposite" houses or kua under the Eight House Theory. Under the Eight House Theory, do look out for:- 1. How suitable the house is to the breadwinner i.e. one's kua or intangible force at the main entrance. 2. The Eight House relates to how much time we spent at a sector of the house. Thus it would be useful to know what is the intangible force for the spouse and husband in the bedroom. Where possible, let the person who beneifits most sleep closer to the intangible force. While the person who does not have a good influence sleep further away from that sector. (A good bonus is if one sleeps e.g. with the hea…

    1. Please note that there is no cure under the Eight House or Eight Mansions concept:- http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/The_Three-Step-Approach For example, for the Eight house, it is best to spent time at good sector or face a good sector (FULL STOP). 2.1 If you cannot do the above, there is no further cure for it. Eight House concept is usually YES or NO type of senario. and there is no such thing as cure for it! 2.2. Thus is your house direction facing a good direction? YES? NO? 2.3. Is your bedroom in a good sector? YES? NO? 3. Seriously what can be done for the above? Yes or No? If NO, then, if one still wants to apply Feng Shui, then jolly well, look at this co…

Dear all, 1. Further to what I had mentioned, often, I mentioned that it is `inauspicious' to have a toilet at the centrepoint. 2. Much of Feng Shui is about `commonsense'. 3. If we closely examine one of the rationale for not having a toilet at the centrepoint is because of `water' in the toilet / bathroom. 4. If we can keep this toilet, clean and dry is ok. But what happens if we often bathe in this toilet and after bathing, there is always a wet floor or wet walls or water in this toilet. 5. Somehow, such `water' has to evaporate. And it would be `nice' to have a toilet sharing an external wall; because, some of the moisture, can be `distributed' out of the windows or …

Dear Dave, Thanks for sharing with us your information. In your situation, you can consider NE as the frontage of the house although there is no `front' door. You are not alone in this situation. In my country, many Housing Development Flats (developed by the government) for more than 90 percent of the population has this `bright hall' effect (although they have a front door.) Many a times I find the front door to be `darker' similiar to the `back' door of yours. I have given quite alot of examples on why this `fixed' template format is not a reliable FS method. Overall, if Feng Shui is so easy, and if everyone do the same, imagine an entire population following …

Frankly, it is difficult to change the external factors, since majority or all the time, we do not have control over this. It is not like, one can get the dragon side to be higher than what it is or the tiger side -- lower. This is not just possible. Thus, you have to consider maximizing the FengShui of your home by other means i.e. improve other areas of your home, instead.

But this year STAR 2 the illnes star is in WEST direction can I still continue to face WEST or should I change direction to face SouthWest where STAR 6 located. From what I read, your work place seems to in a specific room or location. But if you are in the same location (no change), then flying star should be considered in that sector. And not where you face. For example, if you are seating in the West sector, and you can move to the South-West sector, then fine; you can actually if possible, still sit at SW facing West. It is not like "West is the #2 sector". And t…

  10. These are some of the considerations:- 1. "It depends!" 2. There is the 20 Year Flying Star Feng Shui. Flying Star is about determining where is the facing and sitting directions. Thus, one should get this right, first. 3. In a 20 Year Flying Star Feng Shui; for example from now to 2023; the reigning star is #8. Thus, under the 20 Year Flying Star, in particular; if the water wealth (Water star #8) is located at the balcony (balcony is at the SW); One should not shut off the water supply or relocate this water feature, just because say the year water star is somewhere else. 4. 11. These are some considerations: 1. In theory, under the Five Elements concept: 1.1. Wood fuels fire. 1.2. adding fire to fire 2. In general, Geomancy is considered as belonging to the wood element. There are lots of description with regads to Geomancy. And it range from "Healing" to "growth" - much likea tree suppose to grow etc.. 3. Adding Fire to Fire. 3.1 One of the key description of the Fire element is sales or marketing.. Hopefully, if you should venture into this field; don't be corrupted and end up going the lucrative way of selling products in the Name of Fung Sway. 3.2 There are lots of examples; in my opinionof Geomancers or book authors that if you trace thei…

In feng shui, you should correct whatever you can until they are not possible to be corrected. In your case, since it is no longer correctable, you can only attempt to enhance other areas such as the colour scheme of the room such that it favours yourself if your occupy the room alone. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I got a plot with cut on North West Side. What could be the remedy for that? For a house, you still can correct with mirrors or creating a rock or garden feature to symoblically cover the missing corner. That is when you view it from the top view, it looks like the missing corner is covered. Generally, you can't correct a missing plot of land. Anyway, even if the plot of land is odd, as long as your house isn't odd shaped or missing, it should be fine. Hope that helps. Dear Cecil, Can you define, what can be a screen (i.e what material) For instance can a plastic / cloth screen running the entire length of the kitchen door, can evade the inauspicious effect of the "Kitchen Door" facing the "Main Door". The problem is that I have a one room flat, where I do not have any leverage to do any structural alteration. Kind Regards, A. Vincent

  16. Dear Ann, There are two methods of determining the placement of mirrors: 1. The most accurate is based on Flying Star Theory. Here, the house is analysed and the sector where the room (wall) is should not have inauspicious stars. For example if the sector of the room has a #2 Sickness or #5 Misfortune Star, placing a mirror at the location (wall) will double the effect. 2. If one do not want to go further than using such tools, would have to depend on one's personal feelings. If one feels comfortable, then place the mirror. As this is `trial and error' Feng Shui, when one place the mirrors avoid doing other `enhancements'. If it is placed correctly, there is no effect on …

  17. 1. Frankly, as you have correctly asked the question: Does Feng Shui really help? 2. These are some of the considerations:- 2.1. Feng Shui is not a cure all. Thus everything cannot gravitate towards Feng Shui alone. 2.2. As one can see, Earth Luck accounts only for 33.3 percent of the above luck. Thus in an examination, anyone with just 33.3 marks upon 100 percent i…

  18. Yes, if we consider the global concept of a weak fire person, then; real estate industry is considered as belonging to the earth element. Another varying view-point is that some may say that an agent's main job scope is into marketing or sales or renting out properties; this belong to the fire element. As fire adds to fire then it is considered acceptable. Of course better job scope is of the wood element as it helps fuel fire. Another critical factor in one's ba zi has the ten deities: which include various factors like how much: earned wealth vs luck wealth and othe factors like how much determination and competitiveness in that chart. Other personal factors like an i…

Dear Anon, 1. It is my advise that if your family face so much problems and if they are not staying together but separate: 2. It is acceptable to exhume the grave but: 2.1 This has to be done by experienced grave diggers. I have a very short writeup at http://www.geomancy.net/fs/exhume.htm 2.2. Usually, once exhumed, it is best to cremate the bones. 2.3. Cremation is considered neutral and will accordingly, will not affect the `decendants'. A place can be found at a crematorium to house the ashes of the dead. Alternatively, the ashes can be dispersed into the sea. This is done by many cultures and symbollically, your grandmother can be close to your grandfather as the sea…

Dear Anon, In my opinion, this statement is not correct for the following reasons: 1. Under the most common compass school of Feng Shui, there is no mentioned that one cannot do FS e.g. under the Eight House (8 sectors) or Flying Star 24 sectors. Here, there is always directions of reference on SE or NW. 2. Prior to the FS audit, many FS Masters/Practioners are not aware of the direction of a house/office until they visted it. Even if the direction is found to be at NW or SE, house/office audits are done. 3. More importantly, I know a few FS practioners are cautions when it comes to giving advice on a North East house (Devil's Gate) e.g. asking the owners to tilt their d…

  23. Hi Master, I would like to seek your advise in the placement for the altar at my new home. The place that I have in mind is right beside the main door however as I was researching the altar placement online I came to understand from a few online articles and web postings that it may not be a good idea. I am envisioning a large altar right beside the door that will be custom made and according to the yin and yang calculations for both the main altar and the di tzhu kong altar below. Is it really a bad Idea to have the altar beside the main door? Look forward to your advice and thank you master. David King

Dear Sudha, Please see below:- Glad that you found the information useful:) The most important points to consider when using the Eight House is: 1. How suitable is the house to the breadwinner. As you have mentioned you can take into consideration your elder sister as the breadwinner. Preferably, the death or disaster intangible forces do not flow thru the main door for her. In this case, it is considered that the house is not suitable for her. 2. For yourself, it is less of a concern other than to check which locations you spent most of the time at. For example, where best, the inauspicious intangible lines do not flow thru your bedroom. Check out for the rest o…

Further to what I had mentioned:- 1. Please do a SEARCH under this forum for words like ` Xia Li ' or ` Hsia ' or ` intercalary ' to understand more about the Hsia calendar system widely used by `Hong Kong' or Hong Kong related practitioners. 2. Many of those that learnt the Hsia have migrated or returned to countries like Canada (many Hong Kongers have migrated there), the United States. Because of it's education under Britian, this is largely the voice of " Geomancy" in the pre-1990's era. 3. Often, the China or Taiwanese form or the `Fukien' or Hokkien School which uses the Lunar Calendar was not well known; because many Taiwan (where many practitioners fled to under …
