Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I have a very small bedroom and I can only sleep either facing north (head pointing north and feet south) or facing south (head poiting south and feet to the north). It should not fall in the unfavourable positions based on this and should generally be placed in the best shape and form layout base on this link:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-bedroom.htm 2. Dear Karen, If you have around 3 "sha qi" then, usually there are two alternatives: 1. a six-hollow rod wind chime 2. a convex mirror Either one can be used at the balcony area. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Karen Call wrote: Hopefully you will be able to suggest a remedy or two to help me with the 'towers' visible from my livingroom windows. I have french doors opening onto a west facing balcony. Directly behind the rooftops of my "across neighbors" is a tall church spire and further behind and to the right is a second tall tower. Also in the garden of my downstairs neighbor (3 floors down) is a tall evergreen tree -- its pointy top is also in the line of view fr…

Dear Anon, Thanks for the information. I have not fully analysed the paragraph in details. As the animal sign (Horse: one of the 12 Chinese `Zodiac' Animals can be further analysed as either Yin or Yang and further sub-divided into the various elements. There may be some truth in it but I am currently too busy to look into it further. Here if anyone has the time, can check the element of the Horse and see if it is in harmony with the Fire element (Red) and incompatible with (Green) most likely a Dragon (East). Usually, we are looking at only the `Year' of birth element only and not all 4 birth dates i.e. Year, Month, Day and Time x 2 (stem and branch) of the Pillars of de…

Dear Anon, Many years back, I had written on the issue of "long houses". For example, many years back, the long house e.g in Sarawak is pretty unique and quite similar to your case. However, their long house can even be longer than the 120 ft long as you had mentioned. Yes, unfortunately, between the pie and the grid, if it is a long house than the grid method is often preferred over the pie in your case. Thus, no choice, long and thin would be the better way to analyse the home vs the pie which is difficult to apply in such a type of home. Warmest Regards, Cecil Anonymous wrote: I live in a house that is 18 ft wide and 120 ft long. When I use the Flying Star Pie me…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I do not think of myself as a weak person, however, I have learned that I am a weak Fire. What exactly does this mean? Frankly, a weak person does not mean that person is weakling, nor does a strong person mean you are a strong person. It is just one of the two classification for what element you belong to when you relate yourself to the environment. For example, an element like fire can either be a weak fire or a strong fire. That state basically helps to define what kinds of element is good or bad for you. In turn, once you know this proces, you can easily relate the what careers, what colours, what direction, what people will be consider…

Dear Anon, 1. A house will not only `show' bad combinations but also a mix of both good and bad combinations. 2. In addition to this, I recently mentioned that even if one has perfect house with excellent Flying star, it also depends on external influences. For example, even if the house has not so good Feng Shui based on say the Flying Star Theory, it also depends on the following:- a. The location where one spents time at. b. The individual's Pillars and Luck Pillars. If these are good for the individual, it changes the luck also. Furthermore, especially if the sector e.g. his/her bedroom are in auspicious sectors. c. Shapes and form is another overriding consideration…

Dear Anon, To let you have a better understanding:- 1. Yin and Yang Concept As the bedroom is usually a location (meant more for rest). Here, the room should be MORE Yin than Yang. It depends on other factors also:- 1.1 The direction the bedroom is facing. For example if the bed is at locations that is constantly dark, it can do we slightly more Yang. 1.2 For children, their bedroom can be more Yang i.e. musical instruments, toys etc... 1.3 For those who use the room e.g. partially for study and sleep e.g. in a dormitory, it can be made `more yang' in the day time... e.g. allow light to flow into the room and at night say, close the window curtains. 2. Poison Arrows Here…

Dear Janet, Anonymous wrote: In my home the toilet is above the main entrance, I have been told that this symbolises wealth running out of the home, is they any way i can cure this? thank you from janet Yes, toilet above or beside your main door is considered a major feng shui leak for a home. There is very little you can do about it unfortunately. However, under the traditional feng shui, it is said that having a Chinese Hulu (bottle gourd) can help to attempt to trap wealth before it leaks out of the home. Also keeping the toilet seat cover close will minimise the wealth leak. These two can only help to reduce the wealth leak. There is unfortunately not much else you …

Dear Michelle, 1. In shallow terms, Feng Shui does not have a direct effect on love and romance. 2. Feng Shui is a holistic method, to increase one's luck and it is usually, has an indirect relationship with love and romance. 3. This is why we do see that Feng Shui based on the Corner Concept where even famous authors in my opinion, give the wrong impression that one can simply enhance one's South West or Romance corner and wonderful things will happen. 4. If one's `Feng Shui' is favourable or good, it will enhance one's luck and with it, indirectly, romance, love and "wealth" would arise. Wealth need not necessary mean money but raising a family, have children etc... 5.…

Further to what I had mentioned earlier, I did a SEARCH under this forum for: Romance interpreation And found this old forum message:- Posted in: Discuss :: Free Advice (General Topics) on Friday, March 10, 2000 02:15 AM Dear Anon, The Flying Star has: 1. The Base Star. 2. The Water and Mountain Stars. Glyn correctly pointed out that the Base Number #8 (North East, Weak Earth) is correct to represents Romance. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2. Under the `81' interpretations: Mountain Star #1 and Water Star #4 which is similar to Mountain Star #4 and Water Star #1 signifies the following:- "Successful sales, become famous,…

Dear Anon, In my opinion, such products has more to do with "Human factors", than Earth Luck. Many of the products sold on the market are too commercialised to be of any use. It has all to do with the `mind'. Often, many people would buy such products, place it for a while (see that it does not work), chuck them aside. Before all these takes place, it seems to collect dust (first). Warmest Regards, Cecil

I've recently changed the colour of the paint on my walls from the blue to lavender and find it a much more pleasant sleep. My overall mood is better, but I know that I could still have a better sleep.

For 2: the best is to close the door when not in use. For 1: if the toilet location has bad flying star numbers; that would indirectly be good. Such questions are something like: my earlier example of a person who has 7 grown up family members. He is now driving a saloon car (capacity of 5 persons). How are you going to squeeze the other two family members in that car - I wonder. Go get a Deluxe MPV with a seating capacity of 7 to 8 persons, then. Hello master, I'm from Eastern Europe, I am a feng shui enthusiast and amateur and I have studied the art of feng shui for 8-9 years now. I came to understand a lot of things about feng shui, but not all of them, and I can't say that I know everything regarded to it and still trying to understand some aspects, that's why I wanted to ask for help from someone that knows this better, and verify if what I am doing is correct. I’m practicing feng shui only for my family. I don’t do it and don’t talk about it with other people, because our culture is based on christianity and some look at feng shui with doubt, fear or skepticism. I was ra…

Further to what I had mentioned, 1. I can only think of one acceptable logic for placing a piggy bank at a prominent location: this has more to do with psychology. 2. Usually, if someone tells us that a specific location is our wealth corner; we would consciously try to keep the place clear of other items. 3. And often when we pass thru this location, we may either sublimally think of money (earning money) or happy seeing money on our table. 4. Other than this explanation, it does not mean literally, by doing so, e.g. placing multiple $50 dollars or more notes or stacking fake notes into this bowl or piggy bank. Money cannot automatically fall down a hole thru the sky la…

Dear Tegs, If I read your message correctly, I believe you will be placing the headrest of your bed against a wall. This is a good choice. If you have a low linen cupboard, you can actually place it at the foot of the bed. Alternatively, whether it is possible to use a privacy screen or any other cabinet e.g. a low book shelf (with the shelf) facing outwards towards the door. Taking into consideration "priorities", the legs facing the door is not as bad as the bed against a window etc... Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. I quite understand your situation. Nowadays, it is difficult for many homes to have a good placement of the stove - to the `advantage' of the homeowner or spouse. 2. If the above is not auspicious, other considerations are: 2.1 The stove should have a `solid backing' e.g. be placed against a wall instead of having a window at it's back. 2.2 Where possible, it should not have a beam above it. Or if possible, water pipe should not be criss-crossing it e.g. in the kitchen cabinet. 2.3 If the kitchen is at the north sector (water element) of the house, ideally, the stove should not face a water position such as the wash basin. As the `warmth' of the stove may be…

Dear Anon, In my opinion, no, halogen lamps are not considered bad. ONly that it has a higher concentration of lighting even if it gives off heat. Many Feng Shui practioners believe that lighting whether it is from a light bulb or halogen lamp is still considered light. To many artificial light is another source of beneficial Qi. Furthermore, there is no impact from its shape because it is small. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Red is always associated with auspiciousness for the Chinese. In weddings, a red invitation card is sent out. Some newly wedded couples have a Chinese red double happiness symbol placed in their room. And even their pillow cases are embroided with the double happiness symbol. Traditional bride wear a red dress with a veil covering their eyes. Here, one can understand why red lanterns are used in pairs to decorate or line up a walkway. Red in this case, also symbolises auspiciousness. Contrast this to white or off-site coloured lanterns used during a funeral. Therefore, colours have a significance. Warmest Regards, Cecil

1. Please click this link for resources on the Ba Gua mirror and the different types of it:- http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/Bagua_Mirror 2. Never place a ba gua mirror inside a home. It has to face outwards of a home. 3. The above link will show the differences between a concave, convex and a flat mirror type of ba gua. 4. Usually, ba gua mirror is placed at "openings" facing a poison arrow or threat (sharp corner of another building or a lamp post slicing towards the main door or a window). 5. The bagua mirror in the middle is either flat, concave or convex. There is no combination of flat mirror and convex mirror - none in the market. Unless you are referring to fla…

IN SUMMARY "The laughing Buddha serves as a symbol of joy and positivity in home decor, offering a welcoming presence that contrasts with more serious figurines. Its versatility as a decorative item allows for placement in various settings without strict adherence to traditional rules." Master Cecil Lee, Geomancy.net +++ These are some considerations: 1. The laughing Buddha shares a similar theme as a pair of chubby well-endowed smiling lions found on the gate posts of some landed property homes. 2. Instead of a fierce looking chi-lin or qi-lin "guarding a home" 3. What this means is than especially for the owners of a home; coming hom…
