  1. Started by buzzspunk,

Dear Tegs, If I read your message correctly, I believe you will be placing the headrest of your bed against a wall. This is a good choice. If you have a low linen cupboard, you can actually place it at the foot of the bed. Alternatively, whether it is possible to use a privacy screen or any other cabinet e.g. a low book shelf (with the shelf) facing outwards towards the door. Taking into consideration "priorities", the legs facing the door is not as bad as the bed against a window etc... Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. A house will not only `show' bad combinations but also a mix of both good and bad combinations. 2. In addition to this, I recently mentioned that even if one has perfect house with excellent Flying star, it also depends on external influences. For example, even if the house has not so good Feng Shui based on say the Flying Star Theory, it also depends on the following:- a. The location where one spents time at. b. The individual's Pillars and Luck Pillars. If these are good for the individual, it changes the luck also. Furthermore, especially if the sector e.g. his/her bedroom are in auspicious sectors. c. Shapes and form is another overriding consideration…

Dear Michelle, 1. In shallow terms, Feng Shui does not have a direct effect on love and romance. 2. Feng Shui is a holistic method, to increase one's luck and it is usually, has an indirect relationship with love and romance. 3. This is why we do see that Feng Shui based on the Corner Concept where even famous authors in my opinion, give the wrong impression that one can simply enhance one's South West or Romance corner and wonderful things will happen. 4. If one's `Feng Shui' is favourable or good, it will enhance one's luck and with it, indirectly, romance, love and "wealth" would arise. Wealth need not necessary mean money but raising a family, have children etc... 5.…

    1. Please click this link for resources on the Ba Gua mirror and the different types of it:- http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/Bagua_Mirror 2. Never place a ba gua mirror inside a home. It has to face outwards of a home. 3. The above link will show the differences between a concave, convex and a flat mirror type of ba gua. 4. Usually, ba gua mirror is placed at "openings" facing a poison arrow or threat (sharp corner of another building or a lamp post slicing towards the main door or a window). 5. The bagua mirror in the middle is either flat, concave or convex. There is no combination of flat mirror and convex mirror - none in the market. Unless you are referring to fla…

Dear Anon, Please see below:- By definition, brown (and green) belongs to the wood element. For example, oak, teak, american cherry wood (dark or light) etc.. belong to the wood element in lieu that their colour is brown. Where it comes to pine, it is still wood element but an experienced Feng Shui practitioner would ask their clients to avoid this type of material i.e. pine ( sold in IKEA ) as it resembles closer to `yellow' or earth element. Therefore, if in doubt, a FS practitioner would normally, try to advise their clients to go more for other popular wook grains such as teak and the popular cherry wood type of colour. 1. For most shapes, colour takes precede…

  6. Dear Anon, Red is always associated with auspiciousness for the Chinese. In weddings, a red invitation card is sent out. Some newly wedded couples have a Chinese red double happiness symbol placed in their room. And even their pillow cases are embroided with the double happiness symbol. Traditional bride wear a red dress with a veil covering their eyes. Here, one can understand why red lanterns are used in pairs to decorate or line up a walkway. Red in this case, also symbolises auspiciousness. Contrast this to white or off-site coloured lanterns used during a funeral. Therefore, colours have a significance. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Thatk you for your answer. My building is built in 1975 - period 6 and the FS for my son's bedroom (bedroom is on the West sector)are: 4MS/8BS/8WS. In that combination is yellow carpet OK for him (weak earth person)? You said the red (fire element) is more a acceptable. I know, but how much red I have to put in his room? 33,3% of whole room, or some details will be OK? Like you see, the bedroom is on the West (metal element), Metal exhaust Earth... I have a blanket for his bed in yellow/dark-red color combination... Dark-red - is that still fire element? I am sorry to bother you, but it is very important for me. Thank you in advance, Dragana

Dear Anon, 1. I quite understand your situation. Nowadays, it is difficult for many homes to have a good placement of the stove - to the `advantage' of the homeowner or spouse. 2. If the above is not auspicious, other considerations are: 2.1 The stove should have a `solid backing' e.g. be placed against a wall instead of having a window at it's back. 2.2 Where possible, it should not have a beam above it. Or if possible, water pipe should not be criss-crossing it e.g. in the kitchen cabinet. 2.3 If the kitchen is at the north sector (water element) of the house, ideally, the stove should not face a water position such as the wash basin. As the `warmth' of the stove may be…

Dear Janna, 1. I understand that you are from Moscow, Russia. 2. If one notice carefully, each country has it's distintive cluster of developments. 3. For example, in Singapore and Hong Kong, many Feng Shui practitioners specialise in high rise buildings: commercial, industrial and apartments. 4. For example, in Singapore, approximately 85 percent of the entire population of 4 million people in Singapore live in government subsidised housing. This statutory board is called Housing and Development Board or HDB for short. 5. Therefore, many local practitioners see more (assessment of high rise buildings than say landed property). 6. Similarly, in Taiwan and even in Malaysi…

Dear Anon, In my opinion, such products has more to do with "Human factors", than Earth Luck. Many of the products sold on the market are too commercialised to be of any use. It has all to do with the `mind'. Often, many people would buy such products, place it for a while (see that it does not work), chuck them aside. Before all these takes place, it seems to collect dust (first). Warmest Regards, Cecil

  13. Dear Anon, In most instances, changing the floor tiles is considered changing the "date of birth of the house:- 1. If your house is under " Period 7, from 1984 to 2003 ", you do not need to worry as there is no change of birth date. 2. Under the Flying Star Theory, one way of assessing is to refer to the chart for the earlier period and the new period. For example, if your house is built in Period 6 and recently, you had done a major renovation, it is still prudent to look at the flying chart for both periods. Most cases, it will take on the new period especially after a major renovation. However, in some instances, the house still continues to take on the earlier period'…

Dear Anon, 1. Wooden Ceiling beam The advise here is to use 6 `ancient' Chinese coins with square holes tied with red string. Here, Metal is used to destroy wood. 2. Cement ceiling beam Use two bamboo flutes to form the top profile of the Ba Gua symbol:- ____ / \ Here, the wooden bamboo flutes is used to destroy earth (cement) 3. Metal ceiling beam Here you can paint the beam red. As Red represents fire element and is used to destroy or control metal. What we are using is based on the Five Elements `Destructive Cycle'. Is putting a plantat my desk to block good enough? 1. The best if you can put a partition or object (ie like a plant) to block the Sha Qi. In feng shui, when you can no longer see it, it no longer becomes a threat. 2. Some other ways if partition is not possible, is to have a circular mirror / a small dragon figuring to be placed on your desk to help deflect the poison arrow away. Dear Anon, In Feng Shui, there is really no quick fix solutions. Feng Shui is only about our Earth Luck. But, under Feng Shui one can try to `influence' or have a balance in our Earth Luck. Pillars of Destiny is used to map our heaven luck and by understanding our Pillars of Destiny, some say that we can change 60 percent of it to our advantage. In your case, if you are doing it yourself and not enaging a Feng Shui consultant, then you must: 1. Understand the Shapes and Form School and try to apply it to your home. 2. Under the compass school of Feng Shui, check whether how suitable your house is to you and your family. Check particularly the main entrance (for the breadw…

Dear Christina, Usually, Feng Shui specialises in the `omens' of the earth. And less of use in Love and Marriage. Unless one believes in sector Feng Shui and hope to have a good relationship i.e. by beautifying or enhancing say the South West sector (Romance). This is to me a flawed concept. You could either use Chinese astrology or Pillars of Destiny to help improve/understand your relationship. Overall there are two `modules' and it depends on your level of use of it:- 1. A basic way of understanding one's characteristics say under one's horoscope. Here, the nature of love is one of the great mysteries of life. One way you can improve your relationship and love life by…

Dear Tracey, For homes that are built or had a major renovation under Period 8, do look out for water star #8. Since, water can be used (often in a landed property) to activate this water star - for wealth purposes. It would be even be excellent if #6 is present under this configuration. For example at a sector: water star is = #8 and base star is = #6 (big metal) With this two combination of 6, 8, water can be used to form a auspicious flow. However, under the Flying star chart one must be extra careful of a reverse in this position where: water star is not #8 but instead, mountain star is #8. And in the above equation; Mountain star = #8 base star = #6 this 8, 6 combi…

Dear Tiffani, Thank you for the sketch. 1. I have sketched the compass direction of your home in the attachment, below. I believe, based on the layout plan, the bathroom should be directly above the kitchen. This is not too bad, so long as the stove does not sit directly under the toilet bowl or toilet sewerage pipes. And try not to have a coffee table in the kitchen directly below it. 3. Check for any wealth leak from marking C to D as shown in the attachment. Warmest Regards, Cecil Thanks Tiffani On

Dear Master Robert Lee, Thank you for the generous reply. You mentioned about "So as long as you avoid having any major renovations in this sector or East sector of the house (which is the opposite of the location in conflict:West), then you are usually quite safe." May I know what is East conflicting with in the West? I know that 3 Killings is in the West, does this mean we can'trenovate anything that is opposite of 3 Killings? We are planning to paint the room in the South White to counter the 5 Yellows there in 2008. Thanks to your free auspicious date calculator, we will start the painting and moving of furnitures on 27 Dec, 2008 since the next few dates are ve…
