There are two options: Option 1. D.I.Y. (do it yourself)or Option 2. Get yourself on-site advice - as usually a geomancer will often apply the proper tools; do a survey and study and make recommendations to you. With your limited info; it is difficult or near to impossible to help you, here. For example, there are lots of info needed such as the compass directions, when the block was built, family particulars; how far, how high is the unit..... and more.... If you want to D.I.Y; then in my opinion, you need lots of patience and lots and lots of understanding ....... For this reason, many considered Option 2.

I hope you find this article useful:- Clich here for the link It will show, a sample of the type of `older' houses where there is a `head' or what looks like a `head' of the house. Dear Anon, Further to what I had mentioned, if your home is currently a Period 7 home, you should also investigate or map out your home using Period 8 East 2/3 chart to see if this chart has any particular benefit: Especially if you have the living room at the west or the back of the home. If so, and if other sectors are better, you may / should consider flying to it if it is found to be a better chart. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Potentially all long corridors have `difficult' Qi flows especially if they are narrow. Usually, if the corridor is reasonably large, plants are used (spaced out) along each side of the corridor. It can be alternated. But in a narrow corridor, some have used pictures or even a display shelf at the end of the corridor. For a toilet, it is best to close the toilet door when not in use and not leave it open. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Fanty Fang, Fanty Fang wrote: I want to build house in near future. I want to have water pond since my element is strong fire. My question is where should i build that water pond (facing what direction) ? Frankly, I never like to answer such questions, this is because the only true way to determine which is the best location to place any water feature is to first have a detailed analysis done on the home to find out where are the auspicious stars and how is the surrounding environment. Only then will you know exactly where will be the most beneficial place to place a water feature that can effectively trap wealth. To simply tell you that it is good to place here a…

Dear Hoa Luong, Please see below:- Check to see if water colours (blue, black or grey) is present in your brother's room. In addition, are there already lots of wood in the room? e.g. furniture in wood or laminated wood? If so, then, it is best to try and avoid especially the water elements (colours) in his room. Since, guys usually have a preference of blue. In addition, it is good to place a 6 coins in his room. This is to help him in his work area. For the kitchen, other than the real water positions e.g. wash basins, is the kitchen cabinets/walls in blue, black or grey (other than the flooring. If your mum cooks often, it is acceptable. Since `fire' (in cooking) …

These are some ofthe major Feng Shui considerations:- 1. Check to see if (especially) the direct opposite neighbour's home roof is not like a pointed arrow especially if it suppose to slice thru the proposed new main door of your home and or windows. 2. Also do check for any street lamps or signposts that slices or will slice the main door and or windows. 3. If you are constructing a new home under Flying Star Period 8: then if your home has clear space at the frontage, then a better facing direction is the Flying Star SW1 facing. As there is a water star #8 current prosperity at the facing direction. And there is a mountain star #8 at the back of the house. If the ho…

Dear Anon, In general, there are basically `two' screen "formats". The purpose would depend on whether one is `inviting' beneficial Qi into the house or to `screen' away sha qi such as facing a toilet door. 1. If it is to screen from a toilet door, it must cover the height of the toilet door. 2. It is to be `air tight' e.g. no holes or ventilation planes. 3. It should go down towards the floor. If a screen is used for beneficical purposes e.g. to let the qi gently flow into the house: 1. It need not be `air tight'. 2. It need not be all the way up to the ceiling or up to a specific height. It can be of `low' height is acceptable. Warmest Regards, Cecil

UPDATE: I recently placed a picture of some mountains and some water just outside my bedroom door and have felt much better. Coincidentally i later found out thatI have found that my room has "double facing" small tai ji in period 6 chart of house - the remedy for which (improves health) is to add a mountain (and water form) in the front of the house / room. Thanks in the mean time. :-)

Dear Eng Soon, Generally, often it is best to purchase ready made altars. Most of the time, these altars are made according to Feng Shui measurements. If you have a Feng Shui ruler, most of the time, good altars have both measurements for both Yang (living) and Yin (dead) Feng Shui ruler measurements that match good auspicious measurements within these two zones. Thus, generally, good altar measurements range between:- 15 inches to 17 inches 16 to 27.5 inches 34 to 35.5 inches 41.5 to 23 inches 49.5 to 50.5 inches 57 to 58.5 inches Any of the above can be used for either the Width, Height, Length or Breath of an altar. Dear Anon, Thanks for bring up this interesting question. If I am not mistaken, if it is written somewhere, most likely, the author should have instead say that whenever star #2 and #5 meet (or viz-a-viz #5 and #2 meet), this is already considered an inauspicious water and mountain star. If one is doing a manual calculation and find that with these two stars, there is say a mountain star at this sector, do check the calculations again. This is because, whenever there is a #2 and #5 (stars meet) one can never find a water or mountain star at this location. But one must remember that the base star can still have a 5 or 2 and there are instances where a mountain star will oc…

Dear Anon, Frankly, there are quite alot of variations of land forms. And often it is best to use the term "it depends" as often no two situations are unique. This is because, often, in a forum such as this, if I describe a specific land form, and to say that it is inauspcious may not be correct. As some users here, may feel that what was described does not match the current situation. More importantly, much of what you have mentioned has more to do with commonsense approach:- 1. The major clue is the foundation of the site or area. Often, if the entire foundation of the site ie. your plot of land, your neighbourshave a solid foundation, even if there is a slope be…

Dear Cheui May, 1. You should as you mentioned use curtains at the large sliding glass back door. 2. Is there any way of placing two potted plants on both sides of the steps or at the landing area of the steps. 3. Is it possible for you to draw a rough sketch of the triangle wedge shape or the area of the room u are occupying now. Where best, especially the bedroom, kitchen and the living room should not be having an odd shape. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, I would advise you to place six coins on the middle beam only. I feel that this would be sufficient. In addition, the higher the beam the better. The rationale is because too much metal is not adviseable. It is best to exercise prudence. Furthermore, I am not sure how is the flying star of the sector/location. Therefore, it is best to apply the "Customer Engineer Concept" of not applying too many `cures' at anyone time. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear SL, Frankly, in the past, there were no aircon. And we therefore, cannot rely on the past for any information on this. Overall, based on "commonsense" it would be best for airconditioning to blow "from the side" rather than blowing towards our face e.g. aircon behind the bed headrest or flowing towards our legs towards our face. This can be quite uncomfortable and may affect our breathing... Well for wind = money flowing out of the aircon, there is really no harm if one placed coins on the aircon. Coins which represent metal is one of the `safest' materials to use as most of us know that metal element can help to cure `bad earth' elements and `bad wood' elements. War…

Dear Anon, Please see below:- 2. A stationary metal cure e.g. 6-coins in cases where there are a combination of bad wood plus bad earth (especially #5) may not be enough. 3. An alternative is to place the 6-coins into a glass jar (the size of a jam jar) and add a spoonful of salt. Water is filled to between 1/3 to 1/2 (of the jam jar) or covering the surface of all the 6-coins. This is one way to activate a constant flow of metal. 4. Frankly, no one can tell exactly which is better i.e. a clock pendulum or a music pendulum. As it varies with the manufacturer and size of the object. 5. A simple test is by-the-ear. So long as one can hear a distinct `tick-tock' sound in…

Dear Rochi, 1. In general, the main entrance door of a house is considered the `mouth' of the house where `qi' enters it. 2. Thus, the main entrance is considered important. 3. The `worry' here is that since the main entrance is suppose to be the `mouth' of the house, a toilet, next to it may inadvertenly, bring in bad qi especially coming from the `toilet'. 4. As you mentioned, if the wall surrounding the toilet is a `solid' wall, there may not be such an effect. The other reason can be looked at e.g. where the toilet area is just above the main entrance door. Here, one day the pumbing (if it is directly above the main entrance) may leak. "Someone coming into the house m…

Dear Anon, Under Feng Shui, the Flying Star analysis `superseeds' the Eight House theory. One must first understand what the Eight House Theory is. One purpose is meant that one should spent more time at an auspicious direction. *JOKE* Imagine, if we apply the above theory, that we need to spend more time at an auspicious sector, does it mean that we need to find an excuse for ourselves to go to the toilet. To the extreme, should we create a bookshelf in the toilet etc.. For the East toilet, we should also look at it from a global picture i.e. look at the entire layout plan. For example, it is inauspicious if the toilet is at the East and next to the main entrance door. I…
