Can you please tell me what one does when their good luck directions are occupied with bad stars for the year? And if one should face or occupytheir bad luck directions if the good stars they want to activate occupy such locations? I have mapped out my office floorplan withgood and bad starsand noted their respective cures, and now I am STUCK! I have 8 directions I can face in my office and have the following problems with all of them: East or Southeast because Tai Sui is there or going to be there next year, South due to the Illness Star, West due to the 3 Killings & my Spook direction, North due to the Violent Star Southwest (Romance at work?!) is my irritation dire…

Dear Fanty Fang, Fanty Fang wrote: I want to build house in near future. I want to have water pond since my element is strong fire. My question is where should i build that water pond (facing what direction) ? Frankly, I never like to answer such questions, this is because the only true way to determine which is the best location to place any water feature is to first have a detailed analysis done on the home to find out where are the auspicious stars and how is the surrounding environment. Only then will you know exactly where will be the most beneficial place to place a water feature that can effectively trap wealth. To simply tell you that it is good to place here a…

Dear Anon, Sorry for not clarifying what I meant about the `head of the house clearly'. I sincerely apologise for the oversight. I hope you find this article useful:- Clich here for the link It will show, a sample of the type of `older' houses where there is a `head' or what looks like a `head' of the house. Dear Anon, Pigs signify "abundance". Hopefully not abundance of fat on the body making one rounder:) Last week, I wanted to take a picture of two pigs (each pig on either side of a pillar) of a house. Each of the pig figurine on top of the pillar were carrying an umbrella, they were in a comfortable position lying and `posing' for a short. But as I was in a hurry, could not take a shot of it. Anyway, place it at a place you find `suitable' i.e. in the living room. Pigs are `lazy' animals and not guard dogs so they do not need to face a door, the sliding glass windows etc... 1. A water feature that contains all five elements is suppose to create a balance of the five elements in a specific sector. But both in theory and at the same time the optimium consideration for a water feature. 2. However, in the past, a water feature is often used:- 2.1. A water feature with specific number of fishes especially "GOLD" fish : 7 gold-fish and 1 black gold fish is used to disarm bad qi areas that has either #5 or if there is a lamp post facing a window of a home and this is or was used to that effect. 2.2. For wealth: Nowadays, today, especially if the sector is SW (under the current 2004 upto 2023) a water position at SW is suppose to help tap the "…

These are some ofthe major Feng Shui considerations:- 1. Check to see if (especially) the direct opposite neighbour's home roof is not like a pointed arrow especially if it suppose to slice thru the proposed new main door of your home and or windows. 2. Also do check for any street lamps or signposts that slices or will slice the main door and or windows. 3. If you are constructing a new home under Flying Star Period 8: then if your home has clear space at the frontage, then a better facing direction is the Flying Star SW1 facing. As there is a water star #8 current prosperity at the facing direction. And there is a mountain star #8 at the back of the house. If the ho…

Dear Anon, In general, there are basically `two' screen "formats". The purpose would depend on whether one is `inviting' beneficial Qi into the house or to `screen' away sha qi such as facing a toilet door. 1. If it is to screen from a toilet door, it must cover the height of the toilet door. 2. It is to be `air tight' e.g. no holes or ventilation planes. 3. It should go down towards the floor. If a screen is used for beneficical purposes e.g. to let the qi gently flow into the house: 1. It need not be `air tight'. 2. It need not be all the way up to the ceiling or up to a specific height. It can be of `low' height is acceptable. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Cheui May, 1. You should as you mentioned use curtains at the large sliding glass back door. 2. Is there any way of placing two potted plants on both sides of the steps or at the landing area of the steps. 3. Is it possible for you to draw a rough sketch of the triangle wedge shape or the area of the room u are occupying now. Where best, especially the bedroom, kitchen and the living room should not be having an odd shape. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I read this article which detailed out Flying Star nos. for year 2006 (fire dog year) - as in #8 (N), #3(centre) and so on. It went on to caution against the SE & S sectors and advised general cures for all directions, e.g. avoid red in SE, avoid metal in NW. You should always remember, any yearly analysis without considering the full flying star of the house should be treated as general advise only. As how good or bad depends on the stars interacting with the actual flying star of the house. UPDATE: I recently placed a picture of some mountains and some water just outside my bedroom door and have felt much better. Coincidentally i later found out thatI have found that my room has "double facing" small tai ji in period 6 chart of house - the remedy for which (improves health) is to add a mountain (and water form) in the front of the house / room. Thanks in the mean time. :-)

Dear Anon, Further to what I had mentioned, if your home is currently a Period 7 home, you should also investigate or map out your home using Period 8 East 2/3 chart to see if this chart has any particular benefit: Especially if you have the living room at the west or the back of the home. If so, and if other sectors are better, you may / should consider flying to it if it is found to be a better chart. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Please see below:- Since you sleep on the floor, it is acceptable to sleep close to the window. This is because, the lower part of the wall can be considered the near equivalent of a head rest. However, do note that it also depends on the wind conditions outside the house. If it is too windy, one may catch a cold. Sorry, can u explain further on this as I am not clear what u mean. A table would not be a good subsitute as a headrest. It would be better not to have a headrest under the conditions you mentioned. Nowadays, many people, with little knowledge or commonly, we say ` a little knowledge is a dangerous thing '. Here, one has to differenti…

Dear Anon, I would advise you to place six coins on the middle beam only. I feel that this would be sufficient. In addition, the higher the beam the better. The rationale is because too much metal is not adviseable. It is best to exercise prudence. Furthermore, I am not sure how is the flying star of the sector/location. Therefore, it is best to apply the "Customer Engineer Concept" of not applying too many `cures' at anyone time. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Thanks for bring up this interesting question. If I am not mistaken, if it is written somewhere, most likely, the author should have instead say that whenever star #2 and #5 meet (or viz-a-viz #5 and #2 meet), this is already considered an inauspicious water and mountain star. If one is doing a manual calculation and find that with these two stars, there is say a mountain star at this sector, do check the calculations again. This is because, whenever there is a #2 and #5 (stars meet) one can never find a water or mountain star at this location. But one must remember that the base star can still have a 5 or 2 and there are instances where a mountain star will oc…

Dear SL, Frankly, in the past, there were no aircon. And we therefore, cannot rely on the past for any information on this. Overall, based on "commonsense" it would be best for airconditioning to blow "from the side" rather than blowing towards our face e.g. aircon behind the bed headrest or flowing towards our legs towards our face. This can be quite uncomfortable and may affect our breathing... Well for wind = money flowing out of the aircon, there is really no harm if one placed coins on the aircon. Coins which represent metal is one of the `safest' materials to use as most of us know that metal element can help to cure `bad earth' elements and `bad wood' elements. War…

Dear Anon, Under Feng Shui, the Flying Star analysis `superseeds' the Eight House theory. One must first understand what the Eight House Theory is. One purpose is meant that one should spent more time at an auspicious direction. *JOKE* Imagine, if we apply the above theory, that we need to spend more time at an auspicious sector, does it mean that we need to find an excuse for ourselves to go to the toilet. To the extreme, should we create a bookshelf in the toilet etc.. For the East toilet, we should also look at it from a global picture i.e. look at the entire layout plan. For example, it is inauspicious if the toilet is at the East and next to the main entrance door. I…

Dear Eng Soon, Generally, often it is best to purchase ready made altars. Most of the time, these altars are made according to Feng Shui measurements. If you have a Feng Shui ruler, most of the time, good altars have both measurements for both Yang (living) and Yin (dead) Feng Shui ruler measurements that match good auspicious measurements within these two zones. Thus, generally, good altar measurements range between:- 15 inches to 17 inches 16 to 27.5 inches 34 to 35.5 inches 41.5 to 23 inches 49.5 to 50.5 inches 57 to 58.5 inches Any of the above can be used for either the Width, Height, Length or Breath of an altar. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: i was born on 26.10.1971 at 6 am in india(kerala-quilon).now my question is when will i get pregnant.my partners date of birth is 16.05.1972 Frankly, there is no way to forecast when you will be pregnant. This is because it takes two different individual to make it happen. When it will happen will really depend on the both of you (if there are not health issues regarding having baby), then the rest depends on both. You can probably use like Ba Zi to determine which date is better so that you have more luck into having a baby. But otherwise, no way to really forecast from feng shui perspective. This depends more on your own human luck and eff…
