These are some considerations: 1. The famous saying Rome is not built in a day. 1.1 Neither can an ANSWER can be immediately given to someone who says "Any remedy for this?" 2.Please note that there are so many concepts and principles. Furthermore, the following are cruicial: STEP 1: Feng Shui Triage Proper trouble-shooting is required. OTHERS: Fix-the-Leak, First! Easily three or more major problems. The Concept of Maximizing Marks Hopefully from a FAIL to a PASS or better! The Customer Engineer Concept If you D.I.Y. make sure you read this!

Hello Cecil I have a similar problem..as follows: 1[In addition, things like lone lamp-post(s) slicing into the windows / main entrance of the home are also considerations of Feng Shui threats.] There is a water pipe facing the middle of my window which is next to the main door. It does not face the main door tho. (see photo). What can i do to retify the threat? 2[Other considerations also include where is the drainage from / into and out of the property as this will affect the wealth of the home] This pipe is it considered a drainage? It runs from top to bottom and there's a small srain flowing past the front door (right to left) into a small man hole. Should i…

Dear Anon, As each situation differs, one must be physically at the site to access individually. It is very hard to give a general statement for such situations. I hope you understand that it is thus difficult for me to comment on. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Frankly if you are into pure DIY; you really have to make an uphill task to learn more. The major topics that I had mentioned in one of the illustrations : "A practical approach to Feng Shui today" has clues on the types of Schools and Headings. As Rome is not built in a day; so is DIY. For those who are for eg. too impatient to DIY; may consider other routes e.g. get expert help etc...... this is pure common sense. For example; this is similar to other disciplines. If you have a modern car. Would you go to the trouble to doing your own servicing? If yes, then you may have to read up to gain knowledge before you can do your own servicing. OR? Bring it to a workshop which…

Dear Ang, If one is using the Eight House theory, you should also consider what is the intangible force at the bedroom location. If the bedroom is an auspcious location, at least, this can in some ways `compensate' to a certain extend the death or disaster falling at the main entrance. If the death or disaster is at the main entrance, this implies that the house is not considered suitable for you. In general, you should not let the door open all the time. Only when you need to use the door, then you open it else, preferrably it should be closed. Do keep the location bright e.g. using neutral wall colours like `white'. These are the two things which you could do. Otherwise…

Dear Marisol, Indeed, when performing Flying Star calculations, it is advisable to utilize the expansive terrace that offers a pleasant view as the front of the residence. This is because Flying Star Feng Shui is primarily concerned with the movement of qi into the home. Furthermore, this orientation appears to possess yang qi. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Marisol Colon wrote: I have a huge terrace that overlooks a huge amount of mountains and I can see the sea from 3 directions. I was wondering if I would use this as my front door?

Dear Anon, Although the East/West Group of persons concept is applicable here, it is best that the shapes and form of the apartment is acceptable: 1. The house should have few missing corners or odd shape. 2. Find out more of the history of the rental apartment (usually this is not an issue most of the time). Not compulsory thou. 3. Although NW is your accident direction, do check out what is the intangible force in the bedroom. If the intangible force in the bedroom is equally inauspicious e.g. deather, then it is best not to take up the rental. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hello Masters, How are you doing? I hope all is well. Happy New Year. My family and I wish all masters to have good health, happiness and prosperity for the year of 2022 and many years to come. I am new to feng shui. I heard that it can help to to make my family better in all aspects. I came across your website and I thought to seek for your advise. I am more confuse and scare the more I read. Please help to sooth my worryness. My home is the only thing I have and I don't planning on selling it. You see, I have a courtyard in the center of the baqua map with rose bushes. I read that it is not good to have a courtyard in center of the house. My house is fac…

Dear Lisa, Honestly, planting a plant does not bring luck. But rather, it has more to do with the landscaping of a home. Locally in Singapore, many years ago (1970's) planting mango or even rambutan trees were very popular then. But, especially for the mango tree, once it matures in 10 to 20 years, it can grow very huge and often made the frontage of homes very "yin" as little light filters downwards. Where possible, from a Feng Shui point of view, avoid planting a tree where the tree trunk would one day "slices" the main door or a window of a home. The tree trunk is like a "butter" knife slicing thru - creating a poison arrow. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hi, Feng Shui should be personalized to an individual to be effective. The most common question asked is: Can something so general be applied to everyone of us? The answer is No. Similiarly, even a " famous Feng Shui Master " should not say that it can apply to anyone. In the Internet or around you, do question any Feng Shui Practioner. Ask them what is the reason for saying so. Each person who says something should backup their words with a reasonal explanation or if it based only on their opinion, I guess, each of us have the right to judge for ourselves. Another way of looking at this situation is, what was mentioned by this " famous Feng Shui Master " does not go down…

Frankly, you are on the ground, you have all the available facts. Here, I really don't have much to go on. For example, I waited for you to fix the broken link. And later, when the link was fixed; the google map was a very rough one but to me it distinctly show a home at a T-junction. And only later, you post a layout plan..... When I comment, this is a "classic" case of a home at a T-junction. You query me; why I called it a home at a T-junction. Now you ask to comment on such details. I only say your layout plan. It is just a 2-D (2 dimensional plan). AndIreally have the faintest idea ofdetails whetherdo you have adrain be it open or covered- if any; how exactly the c…

Dear Felicia, Felicia Pannell wrote: We are purchasing a North facing, period 7,house, which is considered Excellent for my husband (breadwinner). The facing of your home is most important. Dear Lisa, Assuming that if your backyard is East, then most likely, your frontage is West? facing? If for example, your home frontageis West 1 225 degrees (between 247.5 to 262.4) and West 2 270 degrees (between 262.5 to 277.4) then one can take advantage of water wealth position if water flows from right to left and exits between 277.5 to 292.4 degrees. And it is advantages if water flows passing left to right of the main door. If you want wealth for the home, then the water or drainage of the above property should exit between 7.4 to 37.4 degrees out of the property. If one wants to have "Power and Authority" i.e. high positions in business, politics etc.. then try…

Hi Master, I am a male with Gua number 3. According to the Eight House report, the west direction is "death" for me. However, I am very interested in a house where the main gate and door opens to the west. What can I do if I really want to buy the house? Appreciate your advice.

Dear Master Cecil, Thank you for your reply. Is this principle apply if we place the fountain along the wall on the left-side(from the main door looking out). How about if the placement of the fountain inside the hse beside to the main door facing the living hall.Or in others word not to place any water feature at all if the hse faces WEST due to the white-tiger mouth.Hope to get the reply and thank you in advance for your reply. Dear Stacey, 1. What you are looking at is only based on `micro' Feng Shui. Although it is nice to get micro Feng Shui right, it is just part of holistic Feng Shui. (External environment is equally important). 2. Usually, in micro Feng Shui, the entire house Feng Shui is looked at. Not just whether the main door is facing southeast or southwest. Do also look at intangile force facing the bedroom area. 3. If the main door is really needed to be changed: it can be tilted to `kill two birds' with one stone i.e. away from SW and facing a good direction. However, usually a good date is chosen and the precise angled calcuated for the owner (to benefit him/her). Warmest Regards,…

Dear Chew Chin, For a beginner of Feng Shui, the easiest to `pick' up is the Shapes and Form School of Feng Shui and the Compass School: Eight House Theory. For advanced audits, Flying Star Theory is used to determine the birth chart of the house. Pillars of destiny: element strength and season of influence is used especially to understand a `bigger picture' and to further analyse the various cures/enhancements and its effect on the individual. For those who do not have the patience or do not want the hassle of reading endlessly about Feng Shui can get a professional help from FS practitioners. Please see below:- I believe that you are very new to Feng Shui. It is be…
