Hello! Thanks for sucha quick response. Answering your questions, yes, there are some apartmentsoppositeour house, not identical to ours though, behind the other similar glass wall. I?m attaching images of the whole complex so you can have an idea of how it is,but you can?t see our specific unit. There?s also a floor plan of the 1st floor cause on the upper left corner you can see the distribution of the condo. Ours is the housemarked inblack. So we can?t remove the wall, and I was wondering what should I do in order to invite qi into our house, and avoid the bad influences and obstaclesby having this wall right opposite our door. Wind chimes? Water? Plants? Mirrors? How…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: i was born on 26.10.1971 at 6 am in india(kerala-quilon).now my question is when will i get pregnant.my partners date of birth is 16.05.1972 Frankly, there is no way to forecast when you will be pregnant. This is because it takes two different individual to make it happen. When it will happen will really depend on the both of you (if there are not health issues regarding having baby), then the rest depends on both. You can probably use like Ba Zi to determine which date is better so that you have more luck into having a baby. But otherwise, no way to really forecast from feng shui perspective. This depends more on your own human luck and eff…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I read this article which detailed out Flying Star nos. for year 2006 (fire dog year) - as in #8 (N), #3(centre) and so on. It went on to caution against the SE & S sectors and advised general cures for all directions, e.g. avoid red in SE, avoid metal in NW. You should always remember, any yearly analysis without considering the full flying star of the house should be treated as general advise only. As how good or bad depends on the stars interacting with the actual flying star of the house. Anonymous wrote: My question is - would not the above yearly FS nos. clash with the house period Flying stars as well as the monthly nos.? Which nos…

Dear Anon, Please see below:- Since you sleep on the floor, it is acceptable to sleep close to the window. This is because, the lower part of the wall can be considered the near equivalent of a head rest. However, do note that it also depends on the wind conditions outside the house. If it is too windy, one may catch a cold. Sorry, can u explain further on this as I am not clear what u mean. A table would not be a good subsitute as a headrest. It would be better not to have a headrest under the conditions you mentioned. Nowadays, many people, with little knowledge or commonly, we say ` a little knowledge is a dangerous thing '. Here, one has to differenti…

Dear Julie, Frankly, there are two considerations here:- 1. Mirrors at staircase landings need not necessarily be bad. One school of thought here is that a mirror at this location can help to `move' Qi up or down the stairs. 2. Another consideration is that a mirror at the wrong wall or sector can bounce back twice the bad luck. Undera Para 2, if one is not sure, one should not place a mirror on the stair-case landing. 3. In your question, you mentioned that a mirror is facing the stairs, frankly, this is more of a "commonsense approach". Or we can say that this is more of a commonsense type of `Feng Shui'. 3.1 Here, it may become inauspicious because, sometimes we do get…

Human or Man Luck considerations. As mentioned under Part 1: besides Feng Shui there is also the element of Human or Man Luck considerations. Human or Man Luck can simply be considered as feel good or bad about something. For example: you found that the ideal position of your bed is where your bed-head may not have a backing for your head. Just imagine, you have this "not so good feeling about it" Subsequently, you have 10 visitors e.g. family members or relatives visiting you. And if just 3 out of 10 of the visitors share similar comments; would even feel worse-off. If one is the type who easily "goes into cold sweat" or feel very uncomfortable; one would have to live w…

Dear Sophia, Symbolically under Feng Shui, it is good like you mention to rectify such "physical" leaks in the shop. Usually, if you have rented your shop, you should try to seek redress from your leassor. Since the shop is still new, try to check out who is the developer as often such building defects is covered by the developer. Warmest Regards, Cecil

1. Missing corner(s) depending on where it is can have an impact on the Feng Shui of the home. 2. In particular, if the missing corner is at the NW sector which affects the "head-of the house". Quote: We will soon move to a new apartment with a missing corner East, facing NW 3. Not sure what you mean, but hopefully it is not para 2, above. 4. For landed property, landscaping such as from a "top-down" helicopter view, one has landscaping e.g. plants or bushes or something that forms the outline of the missing corner would be best. And at the corner, a lamp can be placed at the corner.

1. Thanks for the illustration. 2. Yes, moving the kitchen to Bedroom 3 (SW) is a double edged sword! As you had mentioned the stars at SW ain't good. In addition, in general, SW is considered as the "indirect water wealth" spirit location (up to the year 2023). Thus it can affect one's wealth. 3. Based on the layout plan, the "good thing" is that NW is not directly within the compass cardinal point of NW. You can still have especially the stove (if possible) closer to the North sector of the kitchen. Quote: Anonymous wrote: Dear Master Cecil, We finally received our new apartment and currently planning for the renovation. As you can see from the attached file, the cur…

Can you please tell me what one does when their good luck directions are occupied with bad stars for the year? And if one should face or occupytheir bad luck directions if the good stars they want to activate occupy such locations? I have mapped out my office floorplan withgood and bad starsand noted their respective cures, and now I am STUCK! I have 8 directions I can face in my office and have the following problems with all of them: East or Southeast because Tai Sui is there or going to be there next year, South due to the Illness Star, West due to the 3 Killings & my Spook direction, North due to the Violent Star Southwest (Romance at work?!) is my irritation dire…

Dear Anon, 1. This concept applies more to homes than to apartments. 2. If you are a worried wife, you can sigh in relief:) But there are differences in opinion here. In my opinion, it should come under Para 1. But do not add to this by placing a water position at this location within the apartment. Here, one can try and let the members here know if it is really true. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, From my personal experience, this would depend also depend on the qualities of the advise given. If one uses a combination of the best `tools' of analysis such as knowing a person's true element and strength, Flying Star and Eight house and for the home a high level of Shapes and Form School, the results are nearly `immediate'. For example, there are many cases where at one glance of the Flying Star Chart of the house, one can tell whether the house is auspicious or not. Sometimes we do compare the house under e.g. Period 6 and Period 7. I know of a few cases where the owners did a major renovation in Period 7. The original birth chart e.g. in Period 6 was exc…

Dear Anon, Overall, recently there are quite alot of messages on the placement of `display' objects. Do note that placement of objects is directly related to Chinese beliefs and not Feng Shui. However, as it is relevant to most of us, (beliefs) we have to be clear about it. As a general guide, if it is a `display' piece it should preferably be kept inside a display shelf. This is because usually ox have pointed "horns" and may inavertenly create poison arrows. Keeping the `display' ox in a display shelf effectively contains it especially if it is placed sideways. Most likely, the horns will be pointed towards the support panel of the display cabinet. Warmest Regards, Cec…

Is Electronics Engineering belongs to the wood element or metal element? Can you give me some advice? No basic engineering is Wood, however not all forms of engineering is Wood. For example, Civil Engineering is more Earth, Mechanical Engineering is more Metal etc. So really depends on what you area are you working with. Electronics Engineering is Wood element. Dear Cecil, Please see below: I've told my brother that the lay out is inauspicious. However, he argued that he had consulted with a trustworthy psychic that the land was very auspicious. He added that most houses at the same side of the street have the same characteristic (lower than the street with basement) and many rich landlords stays there. The left neighbour has the same interior and exterior design because they're semi-detached houses. The left owner stays there too and is very rich. It looks like there is a river nearby "hug" the location. All I can do for him is suggest not to rent too long. Thanks in advance. Regards, Wasis

Thank You, Mr Lee for your reply. You are most helpful and yes can understand what you mean. Thanks Emily free-advice Listmanager wrote: From: Cecil Lee Dear Emily, In my opinion, we still need to use visual - sight and smell Athough smell may vary during the day and when a dumpster pass-by. But, often, one way of looking at is is a walk-thru of the neighbourhood. Such as climbing up the stairs to the unit. In many instances, both the exterior an interior should often "match". For example, if the exteriorof the home, after the upgrading looks prestine or new, but if one's interior is pretty old (worn-out) etc.. Clues can come from the toilet(s), the kitchen and the liv…

1. Usually, having a home next to a retirement home to many is more of a "human or man - factors" then Feng Shui. 2. General, having a home next to a retirement home is near equivalent of a home next to say a temple or a fire station - of that nature. 3. While the garbage dump, (now golf hill) has more concern with how long it was there and any water e.g. a well etc.. will not be suitable. If one uses tap water running from the municipal, this is not a concern. 4. In your case, a very high weightage goes into the "human or man luck factor". Here, I assume that you and your family don't seem to feel very good staying in this home. Human or man luck plays a very high fa…

1. Usually, both Shapes and Forms Feng Shui and Compass School Feng Shui is used to properly determine whether a location is suitable for the placement of a water feature. 2. Thus, it may or may not be left or right side of the door. 3. Compass School Feng Shui prominently uses Flying Star Feng Shui to detect water wealth location. While Shapes and Forms, has a bit of commonsense, as it would not be practical to have a water feature at the entrance if it blocks or hinders movement in and out of the home. 4. What you are asking is close to "trial and error" or something like - might as well as flip a coin = 5. Thus, Feng Shui is about making an analysis to determin…

In my opinion, #7 is acceptable given that it there are two worst combinations if I get you correctly. You have a #5 WS and a #9 MS. Here, fire #9 fuels #5 and further inflames it. In general #7 no need to disarm since it is the palace star and at the same time; although it is "bad metal" but it is a weak metal as #7. This #7 is not the main actorin this sector. #9 fuelling #5 is. Wood: here, there are "two classifications of it". 1. Wood : wood or wood tone or brown 2. Wood : Green colour (and artificial potted plants with greens). Wood under Para 1 is often considered neutral given that it in many homes, it is almost "everywhere". For example: parquet flooring or lami…
