1. If you have pictures of both sides would be good. 2. Majority of homes have 4 sides. If it is standalone home (bungalow) then 4 sides. If it is a semi-detached home than 3 sides to consider as the "facing" direction. For terrace home only 2 sides. 3. Often, if the "back" of the home has the washingarea/ washing machines, kitchen (wet and or dry) and rooms said as spare, guestor maid'sroom and toilets; then most likely, this area standing inside the home facing out of this areais not the"facing" direction". 4. Facing direction shouldoften preferably to "light" airy and bright. No need to measure windows, a visual look of how many openings and how much light comes in …

Dear Anon, Please see below:- water Therefore, under Period 8: #5 - misfortune, sickness - bad Yellow earth #2 - sickness - bad earth #3 - human related issues bad wood All three are literally a wolf in sheeps clothing. Or the saying goes : A leopard never changes it's skin - bad in most periods other than in their dominant period. For example under Period 3, #3 turns good - only. Under Period 8: #7 - reverts to it's robbery / violence state #4 - changes to "Mixed-blessing". Sometimes, on the good side. Sometimes can be on the dark side. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hi Master, My house advertised for sale since beginning of the year has not been sold successfully. Those similar qualities houses advertised in the same batch have already sold except mine. Some said activate the NW with some red or yellow flowers could help. Some also say clear the clusters will able to sell house quickly. Unfortunately none of them work for me. My house is facing NE at 63.3 degree. Selling price is based on market value and potential buyers came and view but gone without further negotiation. Is there any way to attract serious buyer or sell house quickly? Thank you.

Dear Jasmine, Ideally, it is good if the house can face good directions of both parties. But as you had mentioned, one person is the `East' house while the other is the `West' house. "Unfortunately" in Feng Shui, there is a consideration: Who is the breadwinner? In traditional Feng Shui, (like almost everywhere in the world); the breadwinner is often assumed as the man of the house. Or the male figure. Even today, we still often consider the male (husband) as the breadwinner unless: the husband is not working or a house-maker. Or if the male's salary is far below that of the female. In the bedroom, even if one partner's sector is not so good, (if possible) the partner wh…

Please note that it is not possible for me to look at every stack in the various condos. Sometimes, I do it selectively. 1. Usual centrepoint is at marking in red "B". 2. SOME geomancers, use the method as shown in the attachment and figure out the centrepoint is at "A". 3. Finding the centrepoint is about finding the centre of gravity of the home. 4. The LAST method is to photo-copy a copy of the layout plan, cut out the outline and paste it on a card-board and try to balance a pin to find the centre-of-gravity. 5. HOWEVER, not much information provided as to what is the terrace about? If the terrace is an open space then technically should not consider the terrace. 6. In addition, there is another method: "eye-ball" method where one visualise the protrusion and try to guage the total area…

Dear Aloysius, Aloysius Chia wrote: I'm confuse over house gua and personal gua, which gua takepriority first, especially when you are doing house hunting. In house hunting, we usually look for the following:- 1. A good external shapes and form is most important, because this factor cannot be changed by you once you move in. 2. The house facing direction must in general fall under either of the 4 good direction under your Eight House Kua (ie prosperity, excellent, longevity, health) 3. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: In hunting for an apartment, is high-rise or low-rise building better? Is there anything to do with qi flow? In general, higher floors are generally more popular because firstly it gives a good view (usually unblocked by other flats). Also, under flying star above 7th floor onwards, it is always said that your frontage (usually the living room/balcony) contains virtual water (open space). Thus, usually higher floor is more popular. As for whether which is better in terms of Feng Shui, you have to really check out the environment in relation to the unit to determine which is better. Doesn't mean that lower floor means not as good. Some low flo…

Dear Anon, You can make use of the Free tools provided at http://www.geomancy-online.com Use the Eight House and eight house related tools to help. More importantly, when u use this theory, please follow the steps here:- http://www.geomancy.net/fs/house1.htm In your search of a new home using this theory, try to: 1. Find how suitable the house is to the breadwinner. The most unsuitable houses for the breadwinner is the `death' or `disaster' sector. 2. Next, do a Eight House chart for all family members and visualise i.e. look out what intangible forces are there for each family members and where they can stay. For example, for the husband and wife, check to see how the ho…

Some Feng Shui is always based on commonsense or "cowsense". == Extract of past forum posting == For example, on the statement of "building a wall at the back to prevent qi from escaping ". In a commonsense approach, if we look at this from a wider picture, this seems a very good point. Not so much of the view that 'qi could escape" but rather, - once in a while, sometimes we read of landslides. Sometimes, even the best homes build on a stable foundation uphill, could not stand the force of gravity. Especially an unfortunate very heavy downpour (perhaps of several days) plus a weaked reinforcement. == End == Unfortunately, in this recent case of Christchurch, New Zeal…

Dear Cecil: I'm a Strong Water (70% water, 18% metal, 8% wood, 4% earth, 0% fire). Here's my dilemma with house hunting: 1) House 1 faces West, my Excellent direction. But West is Metal which is my Worst element. 2) House 2 faces East, my Death direction. But East is Wood, which is my Best element. Both houses were built in period 7. Both are beautiful and in nice locations. Which house should I choose? Many Thanks and wishing you a HAPPY, HEALTHY, PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR. Hoa

Dear Wasis, When I have the time, I will take pictures of some examples. Do take note that when I mentioned basin (apologies) it is not literally a basin but:- 1. The area is a natural area which is slightly lower than the roads or main roads leading to it. 2. Sometimes, the main roads have been `raised' a few metres higher. Or due to it's natural profile, roads or main roads are built on these higher ground. And houses within it is acessible at a lower level. 3. In some instances, yes, without proper irrigation and when there is an exceptionally high tide, places like " Opera estate " did e.g. once in 20 years had flooding problem. In recent years, the government had bui…

Hi Cheryl, cheryl ludwig wrote: This is my question. I am planning on buying a tract of land and building a house on it. How do I go about knowing which direction everything should be in, in addition to where to place living room, kitchen, bedrooms (2), etc. ? When I draw up the plans, I want to start out the correct feng shui way before the house is built? What is my next step? Thank you for any assistance. Unfortunately, each house is unique as such there will not be a single perfect template that you can refer to. The only way you can get a perfectly designed house is to seek a professional home consultation to help you make recommendations on your home so that it sui…

1. Ideally, the toilet (if possible) should try not to be at the "center" of the home. Especially if it is the toilet bowl. However, the good news, is that frankly in Singapore, nearly 50 percent of all apartments does have the toilet "close to or in the centre" of the home. This is considered as a "leak". Majority of the time, a regular Feng Shui audit, can help to boost other areas and/or reduce the effect. 2. Main door to many Feng Shui practitioners is like the "mouth" of the home. Thus it is considered a crucial part. Imagine, a person opening his mouth and a "knife" or "fork" or "scissors" poking into it. There are two concepts, here:- 2.1 Commonsense approach If…

This layout plan is typical of some of the layout plan(s) found especially at the HDB Fernvale @ Sengkang (constructed 2 to 3 years ago). 1. Usually to hide the washing machine / drier many use the L shaped sink / stove . Some built a low "partition" at the kitchen side to block the view to the kitchen. 2. The greatest "concern" would be the main door - kitchen "door". 3. The toilet at the "centre" is the least of the problem. 4. More importantly, the most crucial is hopefully your apartment has favourable Flying star "numbers" - superimposed on the layout plan.

Dear Jeanette, These should be the most important considerations (first):- 1. Sewerage pipe running below the home Try to check where the sewerage pipe / manhole runs in the home. Sometimes, it may run from the frontage towards the back of the home. In such a situation, check to see where possible, it does not run below a bedroom or the living room area. The best or (nice to have) is to have the sewerage system running from the backyard towards, the home. Here, often, toilets should be placed, first. 2. For a two storey home, try to work out the steps for the home. This is because, the number of steps have a significance. Please refer to the attached word d…

Hi there, i apolize for shouting at you, i didn't know. In your reply, about option 2 and option1, the garage or bedroom, that is the kids livingroom. I have 3 living areas, and 4 bedrooms. The front door area, is marked front, and the back door is marked back. But, i have a negative area outside the house, which would make up the rectangle that my house would have been. This area is the Helpful people area. I have read in the book to put a spotlight or some kind of light in that area, so the light is aimed back at the house to illuminate and bring energy to the area. Is this the correct thing to do, and i am also in the process of planting 2 Foxtail fern palm trees, hal…
