Dear Anon, Ideally, as you have correctly mentioned, the dead tree should be removed. However, I can certainly sympathise with your plight. The dead tree creates quite a yin imbalance. As I do not know more of your personal information, you can try to use metal above the window to neutralise the `dead tree'. Here what you can do is:- 1. Get hold of a red packet or ang pow packet. If you do not have one, a red rectangular paper (approximately around 130mm by 65 to 70 mm) and place six coins (you can use scotch tape to tape the coins 3 coins each side (flat) on the paper. Hang it at the mid-point above the window. 2. The Big metal of 6 coins is used to destroy the wood el…

Dear Anon, 1. Where possible, try to obtain `old' Chinese coins. It is plentiful as it is now being produced commercially (replicas) all over the world. 2. Where best, traditional Feng Shui uses these `old' coins. 3. In Singapore, our new batch of $1 coins have a trigram profile and I recently used it in my home `to test' it out. It so happens that the `Sickness' sector was right at my bedroom window. I use the Chinese Red Packet (Envelope in Red colour) and used `good quality' 3M scotch tape to tape the coins (two rows x 3 coins) and pasted it on to the Red Packet. So far, I find that it is working. This is because, I had some minor `illness' before this and now, feeling…

Aloha, I have been reading your web site for over a year. Thank you for all you do to help us understand the fundamentals of feng shui. I hope my request is general enough to help many people. You stated there are many ways to change to period 8 without much hacking. Could you explain. We have a new home. West 2/3 . We could re orient to N/w1, or 2/3. I have been told and read of problems with the 7's in the flying star chart during period 8. We do not have the money for an open roof remodel as I have read is needed. Any help is appreciated. Dear Anon, 1. A recent message has provided the colours for all the various elements. Reference url: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/colours.htm 2. Overall, one must remember that colours is secondary to Feng Shui. 3. Although it is quite important, but I have to emphasise that it is second to other more important points. For example, if one's house has a toilet at the centre of the house. The most likely effect is a drain in finances or problems with `retaining money.' 4. Other bad Feng Shui include a poison arrow aimed at the main entrance of the house. 5. More scary ones include the description of recent house where death will occur twice (I believe this is shown under th…

Dear Merian, Is it possible for you to place a small cabinet or cupboard such as a short linen cabinet of say 4 to 6 drawers at the foot of the bed? Alternatively, if you have a partition, this would also do. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, The convent is considered a Yin location where e.g. a `depository' such as problems etc... This would account for some like yourself who has a dislike for the facing direction. You can for e.g. have a barrier e.g. fencing with plants to shield your home from the view of the convent. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, There are two ways to `decide' whether one should place a decorative mirror. 1. If one does not want to have anything to do with Feng Shui or Feng Shui advise. Then go with one's own feeling. In addition, if there are no effects on one after the lacement of the mirror i.e. hanging on the wall or using a glass/mirror table, then continue to do so. 2. But if one wants to find out further, do an analysis using tools like the Eight House to check the suitablity of the breadwinner's intangible force at that sector. Use the Flying Star to check whether the location is auspicious or not. Where possible if the wall (location) is inauspicious, avoid placing the mirror …

Dear Anon, Please see below:- This is the same concept as a full height screen. Some practioners would advise the use of a wind chime in between the two doors. However, one should get proper consultations before placing a wind chime. (Especially if one is placing at the NE, NW and West) locations of the house. A hanging mobile or crystal is not advised. This is because in my opinion, I personally see no rationale for the use of a crystal or a hanging mobile. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. In my opinion, ideally, one should not use a large cactus to neutralize the sha qi. 2. A large (indoor) plant would be a better alternative. It can also be an artificial plant. Also, on a "commonsense" approach, it would not be ideal to place a large cactus plant in a shopping complex or office as someone may accidently brush against it or their bags etc.. Warmest Regards, Cecil

1. For novice, suggest that you get a competent Feng Shui practitioner to review your home. As what you are asking even the first question is focused on your children's personal ba zi elements and other considerations like Flying Star numbers etc.. 2. If you have working knowledge, then, you may consider DIY. Otherwise, it may be an uphill task to do-it-on your own. Anonymous wrote: What is the good color wall for kids study room ? Bedroom ? Dear Master Lee, Thanks for your clarification. It has been bothering me for the past few years. As a matter of fact, I have moved from Malaysia to HK for work and feeling settled now and have become PR (more than 7 years). Well, I am not sure if it suitable to use the word "emigrate" because the distance is not really far anyway. For the past few years, things have been "so-so" - not really bad, and not extremely good. From time to time, I will think of the statement that person made stating that my "BA ZI" will not "allow" me to stay overseas. I have been working hard and try not to relate any negative stuffs with that "statement" he made. Thanks GOD I found your web an…

Dear Anon, 1. More importantly, for a site, it should also have excellent Feng Shui based on Shapes and Form School. For example: 1. Avoid having a drain or water position behind the house. 2. You piece of land in relation to the neigbhour. Is the land lower then the neighbour? Is it on a slope? There are many more issues to be looked into. 2. The eight house theory has its limitation in that it is best used only for finding the house is suitable to the breadwinner (main door) and the various bedrooms that your family members will occupy. 3. More advanced theories such as Flying Star should be used. My suggestion is that if you want a `worry' free house, it is best to get…

Dear Emily, You can try to activate metal at this sector. Since this is the living room area, the most effective cure is to activate with a 6-hollow rod metal wind chime. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Emily Ho wrote: Dear Master Lee My living room has stars M3 W2 B8. I think #3 and #2 are giving me much trouble as there are quarrels going on. Dear Edwin, edwin tay wrote: i'm a buddhist and we have a buddhist altar at home. i would like to find out if there is any implications if the buddha statue has suffered defects over time, eg, cracks, discoloration and missing corners. kindly advice. thanks! Generally, any type of statue will suffer from wear and tear. As long as it is not the face, it should be ok to keep it untouch. If it is really in a very bad condition, then you should consider to check with the buddhist monks to see if they recommend to replace it or not. Usually, they will be able to advise you better and also provide the necessary ceremony to help you replace it. Hope that helps. Warmest Regard…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: 9 CARPS IMAGE OK TO HANG ON EAST WALL? Frankly, as long as the picture is auspicious looking, there is really not right or wrong place to hang it. Only certain types of paintings you need to be extra careful:- 1)Like fierece looking creatures, then you may have some issues one where you place them. 2) Or mountain scenery type of pictures, may be better to place in where you need to activate the mountain star. 3) Or family photos, which shoulddisplayed in the privacy of your own study room or hallway for example. Prominent Flower of romance can be said to "originate" froma home:- 1. Please take note ofsome of the characteristics of homes that may be affected by such activity:- 1.1. North-west sector of the home: Usually this type of home may have a missing corner at NW or NW is located at the kitchen area. And the rest usually has more to do with the male having an illicit affair. Under Flying star Feng Shui, the tell tale signs are usually the presence of #3 star at this sector. 1.2 South-West sector Again, it can be a missing corner or the arrival of #3 at that sector. 2. Having two or more stoves Having one stove at say the dry and another at the wet kitchen. And have a…

Frankly, I really don't quite get your question. But if a toilet is directly above a bedroom; then best to locate where is the sewerage pipe (and it's ancillary pipes). The best one can do is not to sleep directly below this piping (usually covered by a gypsum board. And also avoid sleeping next to the piping or if it is running below the bed; bed it. Otherwise, there is no miracle cure: i.e. either it is there or it is not there: On or off. (full stop). Anonymous wrote: Dear Master One of the bedroom is located below first level, and there is a small toilet room located in the corner, just before heading to downstairs. You wrote: "May I please have your opinion about this house floor plan? Is it good place to live? If changes can be made, what would you change? Thank you very much in advance." My comments are as follows:- 1.1 You asked "Is it good place to live?" 1.2 Frankly, just attach a layout plan and without even considering the external shapes and forms: External enviornment; Site and building; together; how can one give such an opinion? 1.3. Any opinion can only be given on based on GENERAL information of roughly the layout plan - that's all. 1.4. For example, the Compass School of Feng Shui also needs to be taken into consideration. 1.5. It starts from even as "lo…

Dear Trini, Do try to check the influences especially at the bedroom. Where possible this is an auspicious location. There is not much that can be analysed using the Eight House Theory other than if the death or disaster line falls at the main entrance, keep the location `bright' and avoid leaving the door open unless you are using it. Dear Anon, The common "cure" is to place a red circular "dot" (e.g. using a permanent marker, or a circular red sticker the size of a hole-pucher hole or the use ofa "girls" reddish nail varnish. Just simply place the "dot" on the key hole area or just above the keyhole of the doorknob. Place the same "dot" exactly on the same area of the other door. Here, symbolically, the RED dot is like an "eye". And it goes " we look eye to eye with each other Anonymous wrote: the 2 bedroom doors of my apartment are facing each other what can i do with this?
