Seek General Advice from Master Cecil Lee

  1. Started by wasis,

Dear Cecil, Please see below: I've told my brother that the lay out is inauspicious. However, he argued that he had consulted with a trustworthy psychic that the land was very auspicious. He added that most houses at the same side of the street have the same characteristic (lower than the street with basement) and many rich landlords stays there. The left neighbour has the same interior and exterior design because they're semi-detached houses. The left owner stays there too and is very rich. It looks like there is a river nearby "hug" the location. All I can do for him is suggest not to rent too long. Thanks in advance. Regards, Wasis

Further to what I had mentioned, often, a good Feng Shui practitioner will often use "water element" instead of fire element (if given the choice to neutralise e.g. a #7 under Period 8 Feng Shui.) As we have already known: #7 = weak metal element. And under the productive cycle of the 5 elements concept, water helps to draw out "metal" or helps to reduce or neutralise it. Although the fire element can be used to "control" #7 or weak metal, under certain circumstances, it may not always be the best choice. This is because, we should not forget that there are #5 and #2 both bad earth elements "floating" around the time dimension. In a worst case senario where in the ev…

  4. Dear HK Don, hk don wrote: For applying a cure on a three storey terrance house for a given sector (say NW), do we need to put the samecure on every floor or just the ground floor or top floor? Pls advise. Thanks Generally, the best way is to always use colour scheme to balance up the room and minimise the use of cures. This is the most efficient and effective way. However, where there is no other option, then a cure at the right sector may be necessary. Depending on the severity, if really very unbalanced, then having a cure on different level is ok. Else, just fix up the more important rooms (ie bedrom, living room, main door etc).…

Hi In order to create some unique design to my master bedroom, the ceiling was designed in the way that half of it waswith false ceiling. And next time my bed would be placed under it. From your advice, I understand that it's not favourable to place bed under beam but not sure for false ceiling. My mum was very unhappy over it & keep stressing that it's very bad.Attached is a photo of the design of the false ceiling in my bedroom. Hope that you could give some advice. Thanks & regard.

Dear Chuei May, Ideally, in the first place, one should avoid having sharp edges facing a bed. "One concept is that if one cannot see it it no longer becomes a threat applies." I really cannot provide a cure for this as it is very difficult to `hide' a corner. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. This is a subjective question. I believe if you `throw' this question into the newsgroup, you will get all sorts of response. 2. Overall, the original aim of Feng Shui is to enhance beneificial Qi and neutralise Sha Qi. 3. Many Western Feng Shui practioners (especially those that are not Traditional Feng Shui) will love your question. These practioners will always emphasise on "space clearing" or clearing of clutter. 4. In my opinion, many who are not exposed to so many Traditional Feng Shui and related subjects naturally would place space clearing on their top most agenda. 5. Aside from Feng Shui `aspects', I believe there were others in the field of Manage…

    1. Your question reminds me of the program: Mind your language. Reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mind_Your_Language 1.1 In fact, there is a rerun on fhis hilarious show now on one of the Starhub channel. 1.2 One should not, like the characters of the show equate it literally to fixing broken things. You wrote: "Do we need a master to evaluate the leaks or one can do it himself." 2. Of course, if everthing does not make sense to that person, then you may have to seek help. Otherwise, others have Do It Yourself (D.I.Y.)

  12. Started by Madan Seda,

Dear Madan, Grateful if you can elaborate further on: 1. Please check what is the inauspicious intangible force at the bedroom. 2. Is the room close to two sectors e.g. such as North and NE or North and NW or is it only located at the North. 3. Please take note that under the Eight House Theory, one should be more concern if one spents most of the time at the location. Rather than if the location is an inauspicious sector. For example, if it is the disaster location and you are sleeping away from it and closer to a less inauspicious sector or an auspicious sector. This is ok. The Eight House works mostly on the priciple that it has to be `activated' by the individual or …

Note: This message is in reference to the following: Topic: Photo Tours of Interest (with Picture attachments) Subject: " House at Junction of Main Road - with bad sha qi " Dear Anon, Thanks for your observations: 1. You are correct to say that electric lamp can be used to light up the `corner' for this effect. 2. In my opinion, although one can place electric lamps but one cannot place many or it is not practical to place many lamps on the wall without making it look more light Christmas lightning. The earthen lamps are `symbolic' to "trap" the sha qi as many are used rather than spacing out the electric lamps. In `symbolism' the earthen lamps represent light even if th…

  16. Dear Anon, In my opinion, your cornice do not pose poison arrow as it is usually made of gpysum board. The height from the ceiling to the ground is quite a distance away. They are multiple (3) and long as opposed to a pointed edge. I personally feel that there is no issue in the type of cornice mentioned. Although the preference is for a simpler design. Dera Fiona, To be honest, one area to look at is Feng Shui. But equally important is many other factors especially that each of our character has been formed throughout our young age. This is why, most of the time, when we reach 18 or 21, we are allowed to sign a specific signature. As our character component is already comprise of what we are. Under Chinese horoscope, the only explanation is that the best match for a Rat partner is the dragon or monkey. Whilst the ram is not as a good match. The worst conflict is a horse with rat. Usually, the major part of Feng Shui is to allow for a good home environment conducive to family life. And from here, the spin-off is that a g…

Generally, water will exhaust metal so will weaken your weak metal. While, mixed for your daughter as one like water one has too much. But in general, the breadwinner would probably be the most important. A water feature if outside of the house is ok, as it will be more a wat…

Dear Ann J, More importantly, you have to determine what material the beam is made of. If the beam is made of wood, then based on the destructive cycle of the Five Elements concept: metal destroys or neutralises wood and seven represents = metal element (weak metal) and silver represents metal element. Thus, if the beam is made of wood, then SYMBOLICALLY, it is sound to have the 7 "silver stars". Dear Johnny, 1. A Ba Gua mirror is commonly used under two situations:- 1.1 With the hope that hanging it would ward off evil spirits. 1.2 Another common use is to place it facing a Sha Qi or poison arrow e.g. a main door facing e.g. a T junction. 2. If it is primarily used for the purpose of WARDING OF EVIL spirits, many FS practitioners would recommend: especially FS practitioners who have religious inclination would have the Ba Gua mirror blessed. 3. Some also place a charm (yellow paper charm) above the main door. Here, the practitioner would always recommend that the charm and the Ba Gua mirror be blessed. 4. Overseas especially, in the West, the Ba Gua mirror is mor…

Dear Shona, 1. It is good to check up (if you can - some history of the house). For example, try to enquire who previously lived in this house etc... In effect, try to find out more... 2. Depending on your level of participation or non-participation on the application of Feng Shui, you can:- 2.1 Apply Shapes and Form Feng Shui Techniques to do an environmental scanning of the site. And application of Shapes and Form to your home. When you mentioned that there are "lots of" poison arrows: 2.2 You should stand at the front entrance and at each window and look out of the house. Here, a poison arrow only becomes a threat when it is `aimed' thru the main entrance or the windo…

  25. Dear Anon, This depends on a person's gender: Male or Female 2. If the person is a Male:- Then the House of Conception is to relate him and his relationship with his wife or spouse. 2. If the person is a Female:- The House of Conception relates to her child. Therefore, both `statements' are correct. It depends on either a person is Male or Female. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards, Cecil
