Dear Cecil, Please see below: I've told my brother that the lay out is inauspicious. However, he argued that he had consulted with a trustworthy psychic that the land was very auspicious. He added that most houses at the same side of the street have the same characteristic (lower than the street with basement) and many rich landlords stays there. The left neighbour has the same interior and exterior design because they're semi-detached houses. The left owner stays there too and is very rich. Dear Anon, In my opinion, your cornice do not pose poison arrow as it is usually made of gpysum board. The height from the ceiling to the ground is quite a distance away. They are multiple (3) and long as opposed to a pointed edge. I personally feel that there is no issue in the type of cornice mentioned. Although the preference is for a simpler design.
