Hi, I am trying to decide if a house on a dead end street is auspicious. I have read that it is not good to live in such a street but don’t quite know all the fengshui rules regarding this. Homes that are too high on a hill may pose a concern especially either through erosion of surrounding slopes or heavy (or exceptionally heavy rainfall). Because of this, this is why homes that are on top of slopes should be looked at carefully when one is considering purchasing such a home. Often, of course, a site survey has to be done but generally, many rich people have purchased homes at the middle of the hill area i.e. they are not so steep but at a good level where even if there are some soil erosion, there is no fear of a landslide. Dear Master, I've been following Feng Shui and can you give me your opinion on this. Generally, house on cul de sac street is bad. Does it apply to every house on the cul de sac? In the picture attached, does it affect houses (houses labeled A, B, F & G) at the mouth of the cul de sac at all?

This is because, if you managed to go thru past resources on this forum, you can see examples of homes at culdesac that are good or bad depending on where the home(s) are situated. Dear Hoa, Yes, what I mentioned is that "depends on where the house sits." Thus, if one look at the above statement carefully, it refers to "where the house sits" rather than "where the plot of land is". Perhaps, if you can incorporate an outline of the house, it's drive-way path up to the home and the house profile with the main door. And also, what type of fence/ concrete or any additional high low walls. Therefore, it is often again "where the house sits" rather than the actual plot of land on the cul-de-sac - takes on a major consideration. Dear Eva, The least confusing way to go about it is to locate the centrepoint of your house. If you need to you can scan or even fax to us at: 065-64822057 so that we can find out the centrepoint for you. From the centrepoint, you can use an ordinary compass to locate where all your room locations are. For example, if the compass North points to your bedroom, then your bedroom is at North. Dear Sharon, While your explanation is thorough, it is recommended for an individual to physically inspect the location. Despite the possibility of the main entrance being at the front of the road or a side entrance, it is still safe to observe the property even if the front side faces the ocean. In my opinion, most likely your home should be a Period 7 home (or apartment).

1. Please note that Feng Shui does not depend soley on this interpretation. 2. Feng Shui is about: location, location & location. And other more important factors include: which flying star direction this home is facing, how suitable the home is to the breadwinner. 3. Dear Say Pew, Yes, for charting a Flying Star analysis; one vital information is the date of birth of the house i.e. the date the house has been built or when a major renovation has been done. 1. You can use the Search feature on the left right frame of this forum to search for things like: "Change to Period 8" on past resources. 2. In my opinion, what you have described often does not change your house to a new Period. 3.
