1. According to Chinese astrology, yes, the rat and horse between themselves are SUPPOSE to be the worst pairing. 2. Auto-suggestion and self-fullfilling prophecy:- 2.1. If your boss is not "into" Chinese astrology or does not take it seriously, then it is best NEVER to bring up the subject nor show him nor bring to his attention the "incompatiblity" of both animal signs. 2.2. The greatest issue is to avoid " auto-suggestion" and "self-fullfilling" prophecy... in your situation. Anonymous wrote: Hi. Can anyone help me. I was born in the year of the rat. Feb 3 1985. Dear Anon, Please see below:- 30 Jan 1968 to 16 Feb 1969 = Earth Monkey 17 Feb 1969 to 5 Feb 1970 = Earth Rooster Here you will find that your sister is `still' considered an Earth Monkey. In 1969 Chinese New Year falls on 17 Feb 1969 and only on or after this date is your sister considered a Rooster. In my opinion, one has to be `cautious when reading books that merely list only the Year and makes no reference to the start and end date. You can visit: www.lovesigns.net at:- http://www.geomancy.net/love/a60-80.htm The above site lists the Chinese New Year dates correctly. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. The best is often to move out of the home during the renovation period. 2. For the Chinese, it is best to pray facing the grand duke. For example, it can be a simple apology by saying: "Apologies or sorry to disturb you, as I have to start renovations, soon. Some Chinese offer two incense sticks with 5 fruits on a plate to applease the god. As for the Five yellow or work required outside of the home place some metal between the home and the work to be carried out. Otherwise, can still do the above prayer to the spirits of the home. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Thank You Cecil for your advice. I do have a scroll to hang on the wall that is facing my main door entrance as you advised. However, it is not a scroll with flowers but with a waterfall. Is it alright? Also, about my resale flat, you were saying to find out the reason why the previous owner wanted to move out of the flat. I found out that they have migrated to Australia as the owner of the flat has been posted by his company to work in Australia so the whole family went together. Pls advise if this is OK. Dear Madan, When you make use of the Eight House chart, one should also consider the following: 1. Where possible find out what is the intangible force at the main entrance for the breadwinner. It will give you a feel of how suitable the house is. The most unsuitable house is one where the death/disaster intangible force flows through the main entrance door. 2. Do note that the Eight House Theory can tell you your personal best directions to sleep or sleep closer to. In this aspect, Eight House Theory cannot be used to analyse for `cures' or enhancements. 3. A very important aspect is to check the house under the Shapes and Form School. I understand that there is alot of…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: In the Personal Element report, when you say Clothes/Personal Objects colors, what do you mean by personal objects? For example, I am strong Earth, year Fire Horse. My favorable objects and colors are metal, wood, white, gold, green brown. My unfavorable are fire, earth, red, yellow. Does that mean I should avoid these colors when buying clothes? Yes, the more your clothings is made up of your favourable colours, it means that when you wear these colours, your luck will be improved. Just like if metal/wood is your favourable element. This means white/gold/green/brown is good for you. If you wear more of these colours, you will be adding elem…

Dear Benny, 1. It is best to seek professional Feng Shui advice especially if one wants to utilise Feng Shui. 2. On a self-help basis: Usually, if possible, knowing whether one is an East or West Group can help. 3. Besides this, since the piece of land is from east to west, try to position critical areas such as bedrooms, living rooms or critical walls in any of such rooms within the "afternoon sun" or west. Imagine, working or sleeping in a west room .. especially even after 7pm if the wall of a bedroom faces the afternoon sun. It will literally soak in the heat! And subsequently release from the wall. Thus turning on a fan does not help. Unless one turns on aircon …

Dear Lynn, 1. The garage below the bedroom is not a real issue. A similar question has been mentioned in a forum message - a few days earlier. 2. Since there is a restriction in the positioning of the bed, usually:- 2.1 Ideally, if the head-bed has a storage compartment. If so, this would in effect, place the bed-head further away from the wall. 2.2 If there is no storage area, try to see if you can position the bed at least 1 foot away (leaving a gap) from the wall. Dear Mr Cecil, You mentioned in Eight House Theory it is advisable that an East person should occupy an `East house'. For an East person, therefore, a favourable house is one where the frontage/main door is located at either:-EAST, NORTH, SOUTH or SOUTH EAST. I belong to East Group, my unit balcony frontage is facing South 3 as shown in the diagram. In this case my frontage become located in SouthWest which is bad location(sector) for an east kua group. Does this house consider east / west house? What happen if the facing is good but located in bad sector? Will I still benefit from this house?

Dear Anon, Usually, from what I have encountered, this should not pose a problem. Especially if one only rents a bedroom. There is not much choice here. The only thing to remember is to conceptally "departmentalise" the bedroom i.e. keep the scultures at a corner or if really no space on a display shelf or at a corner table or even share it with the study table. We have to be practical as not all situations can be overcomed... our love of the sculpture and space constraints. Warmest Regards, Cecil

1. Feel free to use the free tools available in our website to check your ba zi information or your lunar birthdate:- http://www.geomancy.net/reports/reports.htm 2. Recent years, someone discovered a writing in an ancient tomb with regards to interpretting whether one will have a baby boy or girl. In fact, there are many sites which had sprouted using this formula. Try to do a Search under Google or Yahoo for such sites. 3. Besides Para 2, some say the type of fruits one eat can help... etc... Good Luck!

Dear Anon, 1. Ideally, these figurines should face an `open space' such as an open window, the living room. 2. It should not be placed on the same wall as the toilet. 3. It should not face the kitchen. 4. It should not be placed in the bedroom. 5. It should not face the toilet or a bedroom door. 6. It should not be placed in the kitchen. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Traditionally, many Chinese would visit the temple to get their figurine(s) blessed. Many of these figurines are famous deities like: goddess of mercy or guan gong etc... However, I believe many products purchased via commercial means are considered merely decorative items. Selling products in the name of Feng Shui is very lucrative! As such they should be treated as decorations. When dirty, no issue in washing them. For such products` often, people buy them, gets dirty and many times the are removed from display or forgotten! IN SUMMARY " Viewing a new apartment during the seven-month ghost festival might be seen as unlucky because of cultural beliefs about the spirits of the departed. It's wise to consider local traditions and feelings when scheduling such events during this time." - Cecil Lee, Geomancy.net +++ Dear Jeffrey, 1. I believe there are different views on what actions to take or avoid during the 7th month. 2. The key point is to refrain from traveling or being away from home (like camping, for instance). 3. Personally, I think it's still 'acceptable' to look at a house. However, some FS professionals might not fully agree with this. Thus, we…

Hi Anon, Sometimes, you should to worry too much. There are so many form of analysis (ie numerology, ba zi, chinese horoscope etc) Each form of analysis tries to make sense of a certain chart. With regards to health this may or may not happen all depends on many factors as well. I mean rather than worrying about what might happen, you should be more pro-active in attempting to prevent any potential health issue from happening. ie. Keeping or staying Health has been a good way of enhancing your wealth. ie. Watching the food your eat also is very helpful in ensuring that you maintain a good health. ie. Having sufficient preventive measures ie vaccination all will help k…

These are some of the considerations: 1. Are you able to like... forget ever seeing all the resources on your career choice? 2. And since you are a recent graduate; most important follow your passion? 3. Do take note that in the past a butcher is a butcher; a merchant is a merchant. 4. Today, jobs can be classified into multi-levels:- 4.1. For example: one level is the industry one is in. 4.2. The next level is one's main job function. 5. Thus, an example is although teaching belongs to the wood element; perhaps; one could be teaching one of the disciplines relating to say earth and/or marketing. 6. If your specialization is non-of-the above under Para 5; then my suggesti…

1. In my opinion, since you stated that the home is vacant; 2. There is no issue for you to do renovations this year be it at East or other sectors so long as you have not moved into THAT home. 3. Thus, even if you were to do 10 or 20 renovations prior to move-in; there is no issue. 4. This is based on the concept of a remote control. Here, if you don't stay in that home; you cannot use a "remote control" to control your home. 5. However, if you had already moved-in to the home even after the 10 or 20 renovations; and "touch" or "disturb" East sector; then this is different. 5.1. Thus say after move-in; you don't like the wall colour at East and decided to repaint it a…

Dear Elena, Grateful, if you can clarify: 1. "My front door opens to a wall". Does it mean that there is a small open space outside your front entrance area. Where is the fish tank going to be placed in relation to the door. 2. What is the shape of the fish tank. 3. Does it exceed 33.3 percent of the study room area or just small tank. 4. Can you let me have the flying star numbers for the main entrance and the study room. 5. Where best, the breadwinner should not have the element: strong water or weak fire element. 6. If you are standing at the main entrance, looking outside, the fish tank should not be at the right side of house. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, What is the rationale for not having the bed on the same wall as the door? In traditional Feng Shui, this is not advisable because, if one is suppose to sleep on the same wall (plus the head against the wall), you will not be able to see who comes into the room. (There is no longer an element of surprise). Of course, we can say that the door can be closed or sleep with the legs facing the wall. But the second is not considered auspicious. Thus if it is based on Shapes and Form Feng Shui, the above is the main reason for it. You have to see if the above is a good enough reason for yourself. But this is what it generally means in Feng Shui. In my opinion, I would…
