Dear Benny, 1. It is best to seek professional Feng Shui advice especially if one wants to utilise Feng Shui. 2. On a self-help basis: Usually, if possible, knowing whether one is an East or West Group can help. 3. Besides this, since the piece of land is from east to west, try to position critical areas such as bedrooms, living rooms or critical walls in any of such rooms within the "afternoon sun" or west. Imagine, working or sleeping in a west room .. especially even after 7pm if the wall of a bedroom faces the afternoon sun. It will literally soak in the heat! And subsequently release from the wall. Thus turning on a fan does not help. Unless one turns on aircon …

Dear Joe, Indeed you have asked an interesting question. 1. Very often if one is house `hunting' and go look at houses that are not occupied, when we first step into the house (without first opening the window), when we breathe in the air, some how it is `stale' air. In many cases, after new houses were constructed, when I do the audit, I do feel the above. 2. Here, it is my believe that human Qi is equally important within a house or office for the following reasons:- a. Qi around us can consist of steam, weather, gas and force (atmospheric pressure). b. One unrelated but quite important matter is the moon. For example, high and low tides are attributed to the moons in…

Dear Ricky, As mentioned in my earlier e-mail, the House Number report is only meant for high rise apartments. In numerology, there are so many varied methods. But what is most important is how often; how many people `recognise' these numbers. Thus, the most common mass superstition are numbers like 13. And for many Chinese number 4, 44 or 444. However, while some people are supersitious about 13, some others are not. This is even the case for 4, 44 or 444. On the gate; there are some people like to symbolically raise the numbers if it is more than 2 or more digits:- 7 8 or 7 7 7 etc... Warmest Regards, Cecil Hi Cecil, Thanks for the quick response. My new house is a land…

Dear Mr Lee May I ask what happens if the weaken metal (in my case double 7) is in the bedroom (base 3, yr 1), which I cannot possible put a water feature there. What should I do? Can I change bedsheet to blue? Fire can exhaust metal correct? So should I paint the wall pink or put a red rug on the floor? Awaiting your valued advice. Thank You Em free-advice Listmanager wrote: From: "Robert Lee" Dear Hoa Luong, The best water element feature is a water feature like fountain. Hi Anon, Sometimes, you should to worry too much. There are so many form of analysis (ie numerology, ba zi, chinese horoscope etc) Each form of analysis tries to make sense of a certain chart. With regards to health this may or may not happen all depends on many factors as well. I mean rather than worrying about what might happen, you should be more pro-active in attempting to prevent any potential health issue from happening. ie. Keeping or staying Health has been a good way of enhancing your wealth. ie. Watching the food your eat also is very helpful in ensuring that you maintain a good health. ie. Having sufficient preventive measures ie vaccination all will help k…

Dear Anon, Yes, a mountain star can be activated by a painting or photo e.g. of Mount Fuji. Avoid a photo with streams or rivers at the front of the mountain. It is acceptable for snow to be seen on the peak of the mountain painting. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Ng Chiew Kiat, I believe you are trying to ask whether you can just enter the date of birth of the club in the ba zi report, am I right? Well, not really. The ba zi is for pesonal luck, you cannot use it in the same way for the establishment of a business or club. Though, it was a really good way of looking at it. But it will not work that way. You can only assess the feng shui but not the luck of the business/club/establishment. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Sunny, Yes, the staircase which is directly facing the main door is considered Sha Qi and is `bad' because, it is said to create a `disturbance' of the flow of Qi from the main entrance to the interior of the home. The most effective method is to use a screen between the door and the staircase. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Cecil, Thanks a lot for your generous assistance. I did go through the old forum messages and you did mention is better not to concern on number of goldfishes to prevent the trouble of replacing if any of the fishes die. Actually I don't understand what is Flying Star Feng Shui but somehow number 8 is still one of the best numbers. I'll add in another 4 little goldfishes then. Thank you once again. rgds, Stanley

Dear Elena, Grateful, if you can clarify: 1. "My front door opens to a wall". Does it mean that there is a small open space outside your front entrance area. Where is the fish tank going to be placed in relation to the door. 2. What is the shape of the fish tank. 3. Does it exceed 33.3 percent of the study room area or just small tank. 4. Can you let me have the flying star numbers for the main entrance and the study room. 5. Where best, the breadwinner should not have the element: strong water or weak fire element. 6. If you are standing at the main entrance, looking outside, the fish tank should not be at the right side of house. Warmest Regards, Cecil

1. Feel free to use the free tools available in our website to check your ba zi information or your lunar birthdate:- http://www.geomancy.net/reports/reports.htm 2. Recent years, someone discovered a writing in an ancient tomb with regards to interpretting whether one will have a baby boy or girl. In fact, there are many sites which had sprouted using this formula. Try to do a Search under Google or Yahoo for such sites. 3. Besides Para 2, some say the type of fruits one eat can help... etc... Good Luck!

Traditionally, many Chinese would visit the temple to get their figurine(s) blessed. Many of these figurines are famous deities like: goddess of mercy or guan gong etc... However, I believe many products purchased via commercial means are considered merely decorative items. Selling products in the name of Feng Shui is very lucrative! As such they should be treated as decorations. When dirty, no issue in washing them. For such products` often, people buy them, gets dirty and many times the are removed from display or forgotten! Dear Anon, 1. Overall, in Feng Shui, it is best that a mirror not be placed on a wall where this could be inauspicious sector as twice the bad luck would bounce back. 2. However, if you feel that it is OK, then you can try to place it above the fireplace. But the mirrow should not be larger than the diameter of the fireplace. Warmest Regards, Cecil

A. Wow, your question is too basic that it is best to use your fingers to find the knowledge:- 1. For example, you can use the top left search field in this forum to search for sepcific terms like:- 1.1.Flying Star Feng Shui 1.2. Mountain Star 1.3. Water Star 1.4. Base Star and/or palace star 1.5. 9 star ki (nine star ki) Other broader terms on the two major schools of Feng Shui:- 1.6. Compass School Feng Shui (which includes Eight House and Flying Star Feng Shui) 1.7. Shapes and Forms Feng Shui B. Alternatively, there are lots of books on Flying Star Feng Shui; usually available in bookstores or if you want to have a solid grounding; you might want to consider say, taki…

These are some of the considerations: 1. Are you able to like... forget ever seeing all the resources on your career choice? 2. And since you are a recent graduate; most important follow your passion? 3. Do take note that in the past a butcher is a butcher; a merchant is a merchant. 4. Today, jobs can be classified into multi-levels:- 4.1. For example: one level is the industry one is in. 4.2. The next level is one's main job function. 5. Thus, an example is although teaching belongs to the wood element; perhaps; one could be teaching one of the disciplines relating to say earth and/or marketing. 6. If your specialization is non-of-the above under Para 5; then my suggesti…

Dear Cecil , I'm first time using onelist service. I happens to see your web site over the internet. Currently I'm rather interested into Feng Shui. and has been reading books about it. I have some queries here for your advise.. If the family members comprises of both West & East group (understand that direction that are good for West group will be very bad to East group), does that mean that the family will always be in conflict ? And how do you orient the house furniture and fixtures if they have to stay together? Thanks & Warmest Regards, Chris ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Could you please let me know the effect of metal portable building structures used as a temporary office on persons who are already of a strong metal element. Generally, as a Strong Metal person, having anything metal will of course not be favourable to that person. However, in general, most furnitures are generally made of Wood, Metal or Glass (water). Of which Wood furnitures are the most popular. So that would make Strong Wood person will be most at the greatest disadvantage as most furniture is wood element, right? Well, not really. In feng shui, we need to prioritize which is more important and which is least important. So like if you h…

In general, it depends on what type of home one stays in:- 1. landed property Here; if you have a garden, then your landscaping can form a "profile" of the missing corner. And depending on the extend, sometimes even a strategic lamp post can be used as a marker. Thus from a helicopter view, one can see the "missing corner" filled up. 2. Apartments Usually, and depends on the interior of the home, mirror in-side the home (north) sector can help to "extend" the missing corner. Alternatively, depending on circumstances, a concave mirror may be placed outside to "suck" back the missing corner wealth. Some Chinese practitioners ask their clients to place certain objects a…

Under symbolism in Feng Shui; the best way to redress the concern is:- http://forum.geomancy.net/events/CDL_Talk_2/cdl_talk_2_slide_52.htm Usually sorry to add the pun "sane people don't place a partition" between their bed and the bedroom door especially if the bedroom is miserably small. Here, a partition if it is solid (air-tight) would often cause "stagnant qi" area for those sleeping at the "corner" closest to the partition wall. This is more of a concern than what you mentioned although it is equally not so good sounding..

Dear Sue, In a broad sense, both statements are correct. Usually, you need a competent Feng Shui practitioner to do a Feng Shui for an entire building. The practitioner not only takes into consideration the main entrance of the building but also the frontage. He/She also do an environmental scanning. Some Feng Shui practioners use only Shapes and Form here. While others combine Shapes and Form with Compass School techniques such as an extension of the Flying Star of the interior of a home to this building. In your case, you most likely be concerned with the interior assessment of your home. Unless you hire a Feng Shui practitioner who most likely will also do an overall a…

Is it the directionmy house facing on ormy housesitting on?Please your advise, thanks. A lot of terms used by other practitioner can be confusing especially when you come to facingsitting. This is because you have to also make sure that you are using the right orientation of the compass. Most will use the Chinese compass, which is South-North orientation which can add another level of confusion if you are not careful. However, our website standardize all the flying star/eight house chart based on a normal western compass. This means that if the chart …
