Hi Master Cecil, I have just bought a usedapartment on 10th floor of a 11 floor building. The apartment is not fully concealed type, meaning there isn't any dedicated main door for all theunits (open ventilation style). The apartment was also built in past periods. Situation: I realised the laundry room (which is next to the kitchen) of my unitdoes not have a window (only a metal grill), making the laundry room exposed to the air well all the time. There is a doorfor the laundry room whichseparates the kitchen (internal of my unit). Question: Does this affect the flying star of the unit?Is the unitconsidered to be the past period (when it was built) or Period 8 ? I …

Dear Oliv, Oliv Sullivan wrote: What is the best color to paint a home office, where much time is spent, that is located in the SE sector? Since wood is the element for that direction, would green be the best color or blue (wood needs water)? If red is used would that affect finances adversely? Generally, for colour scheme, you need to really check what is the stars available in that sector based on your flying star. You want to avoid colours that will activate bad stars (ie star 2/5 or other bad stars). Thus, the most neutral colour for any sector is always White (Metal). Metal can help to exhaust star bad Earth Star and even Strong Wood Star. Thus, the room should avoid…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I will be shifting to my new house soon. I would like to find out where is the most suitable place in the masterbedroom to hang the wedding photograph ? A friendmentioned that it is not good feng shui to hang the wedding photograph on the wall above the bed headboard. Is it true ? Frankly, this is subjective. Some people believe that if you have the picture above the bed, it signify a married couple. While others, view it in such a way that if you constantly see too much ofit, sometimes it may create more friction especially if you see it every day and night. This is especially so maybe due to age, ie as you grow older, seeing photo of yourse…

Dear Oliv, Oliv Sullivan wrote: What is Huo Hai? I have been told have this at my front door entrance in the west sector. Generally, in flying star star 2/5 are considered illness/misfortune. So if you have such stars in that sector, then you are considered to have some huo hai (disasaster). If there are such stars, Metal is necessary to balance the sector. You can use the free flying star report in our member area to determine if there are such stars present. The other disaster to take note is the one from your suitability, ie West is Disaster sector. In this case, you can't do much here if this is your main door, because this is a matter of suitability. You can only …

Dear Anon, Frankly, a layout would be easier for us to help you on such advise. Uncluttering is always good, but for advising where is best placement, a layout plan would speak a thousand word. Though, many factors will still need to be considered ie the best direction etc, however, the shapes and form placement is often quite important. So generally, there is usually one or two way to place a bed in most modern layout. Whether there are at least two different position, then you based on which direction will be most suitable for you. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Ada, Ada C wrote: I have a 12 feet pine tree in my back yard. About 3 feet above the groud, the main trunk splits intotwo main trunks. Ada C wrote: Does this mean anything? My neighbour told me that is not good for feng shui, it that right? Should I cut it down? Generally, any single lone tree may create like a sha qi to the house. Which is why, it is better to create a garden with many different plants together to form a garden, rather than just a single tree or plant. This firstly, creates a better landscaping which makes it more pleasant to look at. Back to your question. Some people may view the splitting of tree trunk as inauspicious, because it represents…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I am a weak fire person and being told by another feng shui master to decorate my beauty salon in yellow and gold color, in order to bring wealth. Generally, as a weak fire, it means that you are generally lacking in either Fire or Wood. How much you actually lack or more less depends on the percentage of five element within your chart. Some weak fire is considerd lacking more Wood than Fire, or lacking more Fire than Wood, or lacking an equal amount of Wood and Fire. In general, if you lack wood and fire, you want to ensure that you enhance yourself with more of such element. You can find more about the five element and relationship from thi…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Is it advisable to live in an apartment fully round in shape? Generally, a square house is still the best. A fully round shape house will still be considered having missing corners at all 4 corners. So generally, will not be as good as a square shaped house. Furthermore, it will be extremely dificult to put in most furnitures that are basically designed in rectangular shape. The only good thing is being round, it can help defend against most sha qi as the building is like cutting outwards against other building. But generally, better to still stick to a square shaped house. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center…

Dear John, John Low wrote: The report Ipurchased indicates that I'm a Strong Earth person. John Low wrote: My most favourable location/direction is East (Wood) but my most favourable personal element is Metal. John Low wrote: Since Metal and Wood are conflicting elements, how should I interprete these readings? Generally, the best direction (ie longevity direction etc), is based on Eight House which is based on the YEAR of birth. While the ba zi direction bases on the date and time of birth. However, though eight house is very simple, it has proven time and time again to be very useful, and it's application is more for micro level application ie bed position, s…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: May I know is it advisable to live in a sum of ten apartment but with main door facing the breadwinner's death direction? Anonymous wrote: What if it is a parent string house but main door still facing other unauspicious direction for the breadwinner? Generally, it is not advisable. The reason being is that a unsuitable house simply means that you cannot enjoy the maximium amount of luck from the house. ie Death and Disaster, means say you can only enjoy a small amount of luck from the house. So say the house can normally give you 100%. If it is suitable to you, you can enjoy 100%. If it is unsuitable to you, it is like saying you can onl…

Dear Sophia, Sophia Chia wrote: Would like to know when is the best date/day to start/open business during the Chinese New Year.As parent believe it is best to open 6th day ofthe Chinese New year for 2 to 3 hours. I'm abit of confuse here. Generally, most will either start/open business on the 2nd day or 4th day Chinese New Year. Usually, 3rd day is always avoided as it is faithful dog day, where there are some superstitious belief. For longer rest period, it is always best to open on the 6th day for at least a few hours. After which, you can start at any day after that. So your parents is quite right. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Cente…

Dear Lee Robert Thanks though for replying. Ummm, I do have one more question in mind. Here in a city in the philippines we have a geomancer named rev. father wongsengtian a taoist priest. He is called a fengshui master. Though he also is gifted with psychic abilities that he uses in assessing the chi of an area, as for cures he prescribes using charms like this Patron saints emblem or holy lotus? Is this still connected with feng shui or superstition. I thought feng shui is not connected with religion? Thanks, godspeed

Dear Michael, michael ang wrote: is there any way or any book teaches to calculate which year, which month, which day and which hour is e most luckiest time in our life? Usually most books, I come across only teaches you how to read the chart etc. Usually they will not tell you how you can find which day is the best just by calculation. You need to deduce it from the 10-yearly, 5-yearly, yearly, 6-monthly, monthly, daily and hourly relationship to assess it. Usually, a good ba zi reading should be able to give you this information. Edited by Robert: If you need someone to advise you on your office arrangement, it is best you seeka proper consultation service. This forum is only for advises on specific area or questions user have. As for arrangement of office, if you can of course you should arrange where you sit facing your good direction based on your eight house. The others would be the best flying star sector so as to obtain the best luck but that will need a detailed office analysis to be done before anyone can tell you what to do.

Our website uses Lunar Calendar for many reasons ie stand calendar format between all our tools, as well as the lunar calendar chart has shown time and time again in our analysis to provide a better analysis of a person chart, plus there are also many advanc…

Hello Mr. Lee: My house was built new and completed in December 2002. We moved in the same month. The House faces NE - 64 Degrees. My Kua Number is 2. I believe it is advantageous to move from Period 7 to Period 8. To accomplish this, we have to perform a 'major' renovation. Will replacing the entire Front Door be considered as a major renovation? We cannot renovate in other (possible) portions of the house since they fall in West and NW sectors, which are the areas of the Grand Duke. In Period 7, the Front Door portion occupies Flying Star-1, Water Star-7 and Mountain Star-7. In Period 8, The Front Door portion occupies Flying Star-2, Water Star-5 and Mountain Star-8…
