My husband is planning to change his office's window to a back door in case of fire. I've heard that change window to door isa big 'no no' in FengShui so I'd likesome advice from Feng Shui experts on our case. Generally, when you change a door or window, the Qi of the house will likely be affected. Especially, if the door or window happens to be the frontage/backdoor location. It would appear that the window you are attempting to change will fall in the badkdoor area. So yes, it would affect the feng shui of the house. Thus, it is best you carefully …

  2. 1. As this year the #5 misfortune /sickness sector is at North, it is strongly advisable to see if one can delay installation of the grille and windows until (if possible) after Chinese New Year, next year. 2. The #5 has often to do with health issues and sometimes unexpected serious accidents. 3. Hopefully that the compass readings is done correctly as this year also, Grand Duke this year is North-North-East, 30 Degree. Which is very close-by to the North sector. 4. Dear Master Cecil: Thank you for your response. I know that I'm not the only one in this scenario. I wasn't sure what the solution was because I heard so many different cures that just didn't make any sense. And of course just because I don't have the same good directions as my fiancee does NOT mean that I'm going to leave him for somebody else that does!! Your advice was greatly appreciated. Have a great day!

Hi Kelvin, Generally, even without looking at feng shui, you can easily tell which area in Singapore are better by looking at where most of the landed properties or high value properties are located. These are often the prime areas in Singapore. Every house or apartment is unique at every location, it isn't right for us to make any form of comments unless a full analysis is done to check on the luck of the house itself. I no matter which location there will be some good and bad units. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Rosemary, Please write privately to support@geomancy.net especially so that we can credit you with the Pillars of Destiny (new yearly report) to help you further understand what is in store for this year. In particular, do pay attention to the Luck period whether it is auspicious or not. If not, there is an advise on which element you can use. If you require further advise after you have generated the report, please let us know. As currently, given that you are a strong wood person; without reference to the current luck period - it is a difficult to give you a more exact advice. I am not sure if you have the Paid Flying Star report. If not, we would credit you with …

Dear AM, 1. Yes, I do agree with you that if one is doing Feng Shui on your own, it would be difficult to apply everything universally. 2. This is because no amount of text-book can address `unique' situations. 3. I remembered some years back when a user of this forum wrote that houses in Sweden have their kitchen in an `island' or pumping which is `contrary' to Feng Shui. 4. It boils down to experience and this is where a FS practitioner or `Master' can make the difference. 5. Your situation is not unsimilar to many condominums where some units have their main entrance door facing `land' while their `frontage' or balcony faces water. 6. So far, I believe no book has full…

Dear Anon, Sector Feng Shui or saying that SW = romance sector for each and very one of us may not be as accurate to activate romance luck. Try instead to apply Flying Star Feng Shui:- Specially for romance luck try activating a sector with water star #4. This then can be equated to you "SW" or so called romance sector. For example: MS#1 WS#4 Base#7 (Period 7) Then, since this sector has a water star #4 = good for romance. In addition, if the home has MS#8 or MS9 then activate with a mountain to improve networking and relationship luck. For example if a sector has: MS#8 WS#1 Base #8 then activate this mountain sector to improve networking and relationship luck!…

The main door seeing the kitchen door is not as bad, as the main door leading to an open window (which will mean you have a qi leak out of the house). Frankly, it would be worst if you can see the toilet bowl from the main door. But so far you only see the toilet door.…

  12. Started by Lizbeth,

Dear Anon, 1. For the Eight House Template, you should consider three main uses of it: 1.1 To determine how suitable are you to the house. If the death or disaster line flows thru the main entrance door, this means that the house is under Eight House Theory, not suitable to you. 1.2 Check what is the intangible force affecting your bedroom. 1.3 Especially at work, this theory provides a guide as to the best facing direction. The above are the main uses of the Eight House Theory. Other than that it has `severe' limitations. It cannot be used as a `cure' as it is not linked to the Five Element Concepts unlike the Flying Star which using the Five Elements concept to check fo…

As for facing him, though it is not advisable to facing him, this has lesser impact than having renovations done. So where possible avoid it, but more importantly avoid any renovation being done in this sector forthis year. 1. It is uncommon, but can still be painted black. 2. Do take note that under the Five Elements concept, water element colours are: Blue, black or grey. 3. In the I-Ching, water symbolises "difficulty". Thus, (not black) but rather, avoid painting the entire ceiling "blue" or tones of blue. As this represents "water" i.e. diffculty.

Dear Anon, Frankly, due to seasonal changes and like you had mentioned, your weather condition, if trees cannot really grow the second half, there is not much one can do here. It is difficult to find a subsitute for real trees and plants. In doors, some Feng Shui practitioners believe that artificial plants can `subsitute' live plants. But again, this is for `cosmetic' look/decoration only. I believe in the past, NASA had carried out experiments on plants in the interior of offices and found plants are `beneficial'. Recently, I read another article, saying that plants are `ineffective' inside the home or office i.e. to absorb `pollutants'. Therefore, one has to have an op…

  17. Started by Madan Seda,

Dear Madan, 1. Under Period 7, a Double 7 is considered auspicious. 2. Thus, if the house continues to remain under Period 7 and there is a Double 7, then it is still auspicious house. 3. For example, in the Year 2005, if there are no major renovations made, a house built under 1984 to 2003 will continue to have a birth chart based on Period 7. 4.If so happens that this is a Double 7 (under Period 7), the house will continue to enjoy this Double 7. 5. However, in a period 8, 9 etc.. house, and it so happens that there is a Double 7 e.g. at the main entrance, than this is a different matter altogether. 6. In the same `order' under Period 1, Double 1's is very auspicious;…

Dear Spring, Currently it is difficult to visualise the good luck plant you are referring to. But if it is the Money Plant, then it is also known as crassula ovata. For a money plant it is more a vine (plant) than bamboo. Alternatively, I am not sure if you are referring to the Hyacinth or hyacinthus orientalis. This is a upward growing plant. It flowers with either pink, light yellow, blue or white. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  19. Frankly, it is just a general statement. For enhancements or cures, the holistic approach to Feng Shui like application of Eight Mansions (Eight House) or Flying Star would be good enough. For Flying Star Feng Shui, usually areas affecting relationships are the sectors that may contain #3 conflicts/quarrels. Quote: Anonymous wrote: Dear Cecil, I was wondering how accurate is that, the House ### have the effects on the occupants of the house. If it is, then there must be some kind of cures for it. My house is P5 #2104 facing S. It's said Mother and Daughter don't get along. Please, give me some advises, Thank you for your kindness.

It is unlike having a toilet above things like the dining table or living room i.e. we are talking about human beings.
