In my opinion, it is best not to look at the facing direction on a "piece-meal" basis" only. Recently, I had posted a "checklist" of activities that is based on important Feng Shui concepts:- 1.1 For example, your home should also start with how and where the drainage of your home drains out of your home. In all homes, usually there are two or three drainage-out of your home that conveys Wealth and Power and Authority for those staying in the home. Other exits of drainage may lead to poverty etc... 1.2 In addition, an East facing home usually will be "bathed" by sunlight in the morning and the area behind can be affectd by afternoon sun. Considerations of the bedroom,…

I am currently facing this problem regarding Auspicious Wedding Dates. I went to a FS master to choose date for my wedding in 2007 during late last year when the Tong Shu is not out yet. He gave a booklet of computerised Auspicious Wedding Dates till 2008 for me to choose. He said the date is match according to me n my hubby BaZhi. And ask me not to refer to calender. Recently my mum found out that the date we choosen 20 Oct 2007 is good date but NOT A GOOD date for Wedding (JI Hoon Jia or avoid wedding) from the tong shu. Now we are stuck. We have ask the FS master whether is that day good or not he say is good. And i ask him whether it is better to get marriend on a day…

These are some considerations: 1. You should check what type of bagua mirror you are using. 2. If you do a search under this forum; there are already lots of resouces on the type of mirrors: 2.1 In GENERAL, the mirror that you should be using; in modern times is a conVEX mirror. 2.2 In the past, perhaps, it was harder to mould a conVEX mirror; often especially in the 1950s to 1960s -1970's the most common mirrors are the FLAT type. 3. The best mirror, to use today to deflect poison arrow or sha qi is the conVEX mirror. While in the past the FLAT type is the only version available thus in the past, there was no choice but use this version : which often has a bagua trigram …

Dear Chandra, A hallway does not create Sha Qi (negative Qi). However, because of its shape, Qi cannot properly circulate. The most common remedy by many Feng Shui practititioners (provided the hallway is not too narrow) is to place plants spaced out along the hallway to `slow' down the Qi. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Tigger's Mom, Please see below:- However, if the plot of land is almost flat or level and if there is a view towards NE, than one can also arrange the home to become a NE facing home. Or alternatively, if the home so happens to have a double 8 at a specific sector, one can make this the busiest part of the home. What you can do is to do "zero base" Feng Shui, or work out the best placement of e.g. living room, main door, bedroom areas etc... i.e. several alternatives to see if one can further fine tune the layout to optimize on as many Feng Shui factors such as Eight House best directions (Ba Zhai) and also work on the Flying Star numbers: the purpose is to o…

Dear Anon, Frankly, the hardest room to move-if any is a bathroom because of it's fixtures/sewerage piping etc... Thus, many of us have to "live" with it. In general, there are two "COMMONSENSE" approach in the name of Feng Shui: 1. If our bathroom door is fronting the stairs.. the best alternative of not seeing the toilet while moving up and down is simply to close the door. 2. Whenever we flush to toilet, especially the toilet bowl, the water coming from the toilet bowl area usually "flys" out. This is why we often here that toilet is not clean or dirty. Ordinarily, many of us are healthy individuals and a bit "dirt" does not kill us! For example, in a toilet, any…

1. High probability of the male (if he is a bachelor) to encounter the opposite sex and this may lead to romance. 2. The above is based on "vertical Flying Star Feng Shui" analysis. Under Flying Star there is the "horizontal Flying Star" which many know as the common "Flying Star Feng Shui with the 15 different sectors" .... and Period e.g. Period 7, Period 8 etc... Christopher H. wrote: Hi, I tried the free Flying Star House Number and got the following interpretation: [3] & [4] - Star 3 represents Male. Star 4 represents Female. Hi Cecil, Thank you very much for your reply. You've been a great help. With regards to the "Fortune Bagua" I told you, its a basic one: metal, in octagonal shape, has Eight Trigrams engraved on it, with chinese writings in-between every trigram and a chinese writing also in the middle. Furthermore, is there anyway you can help me improve my life overall since year 2001 was not that good and i intend to find ways to make it better this year 2002 in terms of career and work. Can you suggest anything that would help. Again, thank you and looking forward for more advise from you regarding the above. Sincerely, wilyam

Dear Mina, 1. All major Chinese concepts uses the Chinese Lunar Calendar system. This is where, when we look at even Chinese astrology, it is based on Chinese Lunar new year. And the Chinese Lunar calendar use is wide-spread. Thus, when we need to determine a birth-date. This year, Chinese New Year starts on 12th February 2002. Thus, when we need to check the birth-date, any child born between 1st January 2002 to 11th January 2002 is considered born under the Year 2001 for purposes of Gua calculation. This site and many other book authors; therefore use the Lunar Calendar system. As far as I know; solar (Xia or Hsia) is used only in Pillars of Destiny as mentioned in deta…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: My front door is diagonal and the south west corner has a closet and stairs. Where is my wealth corner? Please help! See attachment. Thank you. In order to know where is your wealth sector in the house, you need to apply the flying star concept. You can use the free flying star report in our member area:- URL: http://login.geomancy.net In general, depends on which period the house was built (ie period 8 or period 7). ie Period 8 house, the star 8 found in your Mountain Star will be your Unexpected Wealth (ie Pian Cai), while the Water Star will be your Earned Wealth (ie Zheng Cai). Dear Anon, To be honest, these are more of Chinese customs or beliefs than Feng Shui. And these customs should be consideredas "Nice-to-do" and not "Must-do". Thus, it would be good to follow the procedures (No harm). But if one cannot follow the procedure for one reason or the other, should not be an issue. Traditionally, it is still more important if good dates can be selected. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Edited by Robert: Such questions maynot get a reply because every personis different and every development also have good and bad units depending on which block and layout. So unless a some analysis is done to check it, it is not right to make generalised statement about a development. So it is better that you make use of some of our tools. Like the eight house to check that the house facing does not fall under the death / disaster. Also, check that other buildings around do not cut into the building or your view do not face temples/church etc. Or if you are unsure you should seek professional consultation services to help you do a floorplan review before you purchase …

Dear Chetan, I believe, if you are referring to the use of the Chinese Astrology, for example, ( reference : www.lovesigns.net ), like the Zodica signs e.g. Gemini, Cancer etc... are considered explanations as to the different characteristics of each individual. Under astrology, it can tell you the characteristic differences but this where it ends. If we are referring to the Eight House Theory, where one is a West or East facing house person, one can still make relations work. What is more important if one is using say astrology or believe in it, try to `learn' or understand the differences of the two `animal' signs better. For those who do not really want to rely on the …

Dear Leslie, 1. First try to check whether you had buried your deceased dog at 150 degrees sector i.e. from the centrepoint of the house to that sector be it inside or outside the house. 2. This is govern by the Tai-su or the Grand Duke's concept (or also known as Grand Duke of Jupiter)that the Grand Duke does not like to be disturbed or this may bring bad luck or misfortune. 3. Thus to-date this is the Lunar Year of the Snake and you must not disturb the earth at South-South-East or exactly 150 degrees be it inside or outside the house. 4. Avoid digging the earth along the 150 degrees i.e. if you stand at the centrepoint of the house, you should try to avoid digging eart…

How can i improve this home ? Thisis a bit of ashoebox house, apparentlyfirst built in 1951. Frommy simple study of Feng Shui it would seem this house is attrocious in many aspects of layout , but it is very very cheap rent , rent prices in sydney are over the moon at this time , andlast time i looked i wasnta millionaire The room which is large enough to be a bedroom is in the north west corner , the front and back doors are in a straight line , so i put potted plants and small statueshalfway through the hallway to gather some Qi, i dont use the front door much , except on sunny afternoons, i currently have my office desk positioned with my back to the door …

Dear Anon, To give another "crude" way of associating with language, for example, some people use language in the "wrong way". For example, in Singapore, some of us learn dialect or use dialects to 'scold" people or use "foul language" widely. Here, the act of verbal abuse or like a politician, using much of the language to stir up people, can be considered as the "fire element". Anyone therefore, scolds someone, use 4-letter words can be considered as the act of using the "fire element". This is just an example. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Is there anyway the negative chi of a house number can be reversed (like adding a letter A or B) in order to be more positive for the owner? There are many ways to view the house number analysis. ie some people dislike house number with number 4, however, there are some people who don't mind the number 4. Therefore, a house number doesn't ha…

Dear Anon, Thank you for the link to the sitemap. However, there is no compass marking on the map thus cannot see the perspective from the Compass School. From (only) a Shapes and Forms perspective, without considering where is the afternoon or morning sun, the smaller units #07, #11 and especially #12 and #17 or #14 and #15 looks more promising as #08 seems to have majority of windows facing the opposite #05. Yes, although construction began in 2001-02, but because since no one has yet stayed in the home, it should be considered as a Period 8 home. Warmest Regards, Cecil

1. One can apply the concept: G.I.G.O. (Garbage in; garbage out). 2. If one is applying the Chinese Horoscope; most of the time; they are just using your Year of Birth. 3. For example, most of the books will say:- if your birthdate is between: 7 Feb 1978 to 27 Jan 1979, you are born in the YEAR of the Horse. Reference: http://www.lovesigns.net/horoscope/ayear/a60-80.htm 4. Often, a reputable site will provide a good analysis of your ba zi. Based on MORE information: YEAR / MONTH / DAY / TIME of birth to derive your ba zi. 5. Thus, the more inputs given: YY/MM/DD/HRS; often, the better is the analysis:- Most Chinese Horoscope ================== Usually looks at Yea…

1. Frankly, on the surface, one should not really resort to moving home unless, both the shapes and forms of the home is "terrible" and the Flying star qi does not help at all. 2. Most of the time, even if a home is unsuitable for family members, most of the time, "health" if analysed and disarmed properly can be negated. 3. Thus often it is not as serious unless there are more to it. 4. For example, if the house isa one level house, avoid sewerage pipe(s) running below a bed or living room sofa (etc..). 5. I am confident (in general) proper application of the correct Feng Shui can help your situation.
