Dear Brenda, 1. From my personal experience, it may not be `worth' the while charting a small mobile home using the Compass School Feng Shui. 2. I hope you do not get me wrong but, for such a `confined' space, dividing the mobile home into e.g. 8 sectors or even 24 sectors may not be feasible as all sectors seems too close to each other. 3. More importantly, one should based the assessment using Shapes and Form School i.e. in particular: looking at the Landscape and the site. 4. For the interior, stand at the main entrance of the mobile (looking outwards) for any visible threats e.g. a lone lamp post slicing the entrance. Use the same method for each of the windows. 5. Fo…

Dear Edmund, To bring "sanity" out of house hunting, it is best under such circumstances to: 1. First, try to find an apartment that has relatively good shapes and forms. Simple Shape and Forms clues include: 1.1 If possible, the view from the balcony is "unobstructed". 1.2 Where are the roads? If possible, the flat should not face the road (noisy) 1.3 Afternoon sun? (West) Are any of the bedrooms directly or partially facing into the West (afternoon sun)? Living room also? 2. Under the Flying Star Theory If one knows how to apply it, especially for a new apartment or one that will have an extensive renovation done; there are some homes that have better Flying S…

Dear Keith, 1. It is good that you do a SEARCH under this forum to find your subject matter. For example, use the SEARCH feature for #5 or Five yellow. 2. There are various combination of star numbers with or without #5. Thus #5 can be combined with either one or both or all of #2, #3, #7 and another #5. Each of these have somewhat slightly different significance. 3. About commercial products: In my opinion, many products that one has purchased usually lines the pocket of the seller. In ancient times, there are no such products. Thus many use "in the name of Feng Shui" to sell this and that product. In my opinion, products are modern invention, mostly toentice us to…

Dear KL lim, KL Lim wrote: Could anyone tell me howto correct/counter a bad sleeping positionif movingthe bedis not possible? In feng shui, you should correct whatever you can until they are not possible to be corrected. In your case, since it is no longer correctable, you can only attempt to enhance other areas such as the colour scheme of the room such that it favours yourself if your occupy the room alone. (ie. weak wood person, can paint the room blue=water to make yourself stronger). Of if you share a room with another person, then choose the element or colour of the decor that will fit both person. (ie. weak fire weak wood person, can paint the room in the common …

Hi master, I have tried reading and search through the forum for this topic. But it seems like I still can't get a idea on how can I counter it. I hope to seek for your kind advice on this issue as i have tried request them to took it off but they told me is harmless to us. The attached Ba Gua mirror is what they have been hanging all this while. My questions is whether does a flat Ba gua mirror has any negative effects on my family as per what they have mentioned? If there is, how can I counter it and avoids ba gua war. Thank you in advance.

1. Contrary to popular belief, please take note that a closed fridge is considered as belonging to the metal element. 2. Thus, for those who wish to have more metal in the kitchen may consider a bigger fridge. Thus it is acceptable to have the fridge face a stove in many instances. While trying to avoid the basin (washing tap) facing the stove. This is no good.

Dear Ang, 1. Last year, a few users brought up this subject of the `deadly' Five yellows or strong earth, which is still at the South until 4 Februrary 2000. 2. This calendar of Minor and Major dates which I had complied for the benefit of everyone is at: http://www.geomancy.net/calander/index.htm will show the start of the Chinese New Year on 5 February 2000. It is also useful for a first glance at the `good or bad' dates for an activity or event. 3. This determining of the Five Yellows for this year is based on the Yearly Flying Star Chart. 4. It is too generalised to be of any use to everyone as it is based on the calculation of the Base star of the Flying Star. 5. It …

Dear Anon, In the living room area, see if a water feature can be activated here to drown or dissolve double #7's. It is still possible to fly to Period 8, but this can be a slower process i.e. repainting the entire ceiling at one go, having celebrations at home etc... Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Trudy, Frankly, there is no hard and fast rule in garden design. Even for gardening, there are many factors involved: 1. plot size 2. weather conditions: Tropics / Four Seasons 3. owner's preferences The type of trees /plants or shrubs would depend on the country we are all in. In Singapore, especially in the 1970's, it is very common for many landed properties to grow a mango tree in one's compound. In many instances, the mango tree (depending on the garden area) is often planted at the corner of one's garden either at the front-of-the-home or at the back. When this tree is often around 10 to 15 years old, they can be as tall as 3 storey's high and leave quite…

Dear Debra, Sorry for the delay in reply. This is due to the several FS audits that I had conducted. For a mobile home, because of its relatively small size, it is difficult to apply FS mentioned for larger units or buidlings such as the Flying Star theory etc.. Although the Eight House can still be applied, again, we have to be realistic and it is difficult to apply it. What you can apply is:- 1. Shapes and Form in relation to where your mobile home is parked. Some of the Shapes and Form School is if u notice also based on `commonsense' approach. For example, it should be placed at a lighted location and where possible the location should be a solid ground. Ideally, you …

Dear Anon, 1. Wooden Ceiling beam The advise here is to use 6 `ancient' Chinese coins with square holes tied with red string. Here, Metal is used to destroy wood. 2. Cement ceiling beam Use two bamboo flutes to form the top profile of the Ba Gua symbol:- ____ / \ Here, the wooden bamboo flutes is used to destroy earth (cement) 3. Metal ceiling beam Here you can paint the beam red. As Red represents fire element and is used to destroy or control metal. What we are using is based on the Five Elements `Destructive Cycle'. Dear Lina, It is best that one truly understand the "root" reason or "basis" behind this being considered as inauspicious. The reason why it is considered inauspicious is based on "Commonsense approach" where if there is a fire in the home, a most likely location is from the kitchen / stove location. And because should a bedroom be above the kitchen; since fire rises upwards, it may be a cause of concern. On the practical side, it is more worth-while to instal smoke detectors in appropriate places than to rely on "Feng Shui" cures. Use of water in a bedroom or kitchen may often be not a good solution especially if there are electrical points and other electrical equi…

Dear Louis, One technique is to hang a mirror. It need not be full length but should cover the head, face and the upper part of the body. However, before doing so, it would best to look at the sector based on Flying Star theory to make sure that the location is not inauspicious. If the location is auspicious, placing the mirror is acceptable. But if it is an inauspicious location, placing a mirror will bounce back twice the bad luck. The mirror is used (in consideration) of the above so that it extends the pillar outwards. Without further information, I am unable to comment further. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Frankly, for such a situation, there is no effective cure for it. The only possibility (but in your case cannot be done) is to have a flat ceiling. In instances such as what you mentioned and others such as toilet above the dining room etc... cannot be cured unless they are physically moved. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Shadeeda, Unfortunately, it is not possible to fix a suitability issue. You either suit the house or not. How else can you correct the problem except to change the direction of the home (ie move to a another house which is more suitable). Same for bedroom, bed position, if a sector of the house or bed position isn't suitable, then try to change to a different bedroom or sleep in a different bed position. This is not something which you can just correct unlike other concepts like an unbalanced flying star sector which you can attempt to balance the sector. Failing an analysis in one theory does not mean that your entire feng shui is bad. Just like an exam, if you f…

Thanks for bring this up. I guess it is the use of English. To clarify, you should first find the centre of the house. An example is shown at http://www.geomancy.net/fs/house1.htm. Next, you should use an ordinary compass and stand at the centre of the house. The direction, the main door faces is the direction of the door. At a later date, I will revise the page and `correct' the English so that is is no longer ambigious. Once again, thanks for hightlighting this information. Cecil

I'm sorry for the cut-and-paste article. I should have posted the link instead. Nevertheless, thanks for your reply regarding my Q. I thought you would suggest 6 coins tied with a red string but I guess the #6m star in our house's natal chart makes up for it.
