Dear Anon, Frankly, it depends. This is because if one is the boss, than, one can easily face either way and no one can "talk-bad-about" us. For example, in Singapore, a person or the boss who usually has his own personal room, often employs a FS practitioner to best orientate his/her office table. And many staff under him or even the entire company is aware that he/she has engaged a practitioner to look at the best position of office and his specific room arrangement. However, if one does it alone; for example, if the rest of the colleagues face a specific direction, then, it would be best that you (the person) face a smiliar position. Since, facing a different dire…

Ihave a problem to determine if the lake is considered to be behind or at the front of my terrace house. My main entrance faces my car porch and opposite are other terrace houses. There is only a small window on this side apart from the main door. Upon entering the main door is the kitchen + toilet + maid room, followed by dining hall and then living hall. My living room has large glass window and sliding door and it overlooks a 20ft garden and about 5ft below the garden is a jogging track as well as open space of about 33ft followed by a hugh lake. If the main door is considered as the front of the house, then the lake is at the back which is bad feng shui. However i…

Dear Anon, Please see sample attachment. Where there are five family members living in this apartment: Pers1 = male breadwinner Pers2 = his wife Pers3 = his son Dad and Mum Firstly, we need to find out whether each family member(s) are an East or a West group person. In the above sample example, all family members happen to belong to the East Group persons. The breadwinners are Pers1 (Male owner) and Pers2 (Female - wife). As the breadwinners, they sleep in the master bedroom between sectorEast and South-East. In addition, it is nice to point the bed-head facing East which is one of their good sectors. Warmest Regards, Cecil P.S. The attachment shows a samp…

Dear Jane, Most users are aware to avoid digging up the earth especially at the East. This is based on the " Tai Su " or Grand Duke Theory. Grand Duke actually refers to the `gravitational pull' of the largest planet circing the Sun i.e. Jupiter. Did you dig earth at the East side of the house. if so, one way to neutralise this is to use `metal'. For example, if it is possible place the car between the digging and the house. For water beds, frankly this is not mentioned in traditional Feng Shui. Personally, I do not see any problems. For the following reasons: 1. One Feng Shui concept is that if you do not see it is not a threat. 2. More importantly, it is more important…

Frankly, based on my past experience; I feel that there are many instances that such a relationship had existed and felt that it has succeeded "beyong" expectations due to: 1. Better communication (especially if both parties try hard to give a listening ear) and build a better solid relationship thru understanding and tolerance. 2. And key success factor is : "mellowing" of character.... For example, as there are more divorces today; quite alot re-marry (mature - when they first got married - they were only 20 plus years old... and ) for some... as they grow old or older... "more experienced"..... 3. I personally feel that this quote on my mainhttp://lovesigns.net webs…

Dear Robert, Per your suggestion, please find attached the layout of the house (both first floor and second floor)and a "bird's eye" view of the location of the house. 1) Please help me find the center of the house and define the sectors? 2) The West side of the house has a creek running nearby , separated by a road and beyond the creek are mountains. Please give comments / advise on the location of the house in relationship with the creek and mountains. The head of the house (male)has a fire element and I (female) have the water element. 3) As I mentioned to you, I have problems understanding how to define the facing of the house, using the compass. I would appreciate if…

  7. Dear Seco, Though Eight House suitability and bed placement are important, but even more important is actually the shapes and form placement of the bed within the bedroom itself. Often, the shapes and form principles will have higher priority than, Eight House. So generally we try to follow this room:- 1. The bedroom sector within the house itself should if possible fall under any of the 4 better eight house sector. 2. Bed placement within the room should first suit the shapes and form, ie a solid wall behind where you can see the door and window. 3. Only if possible under the shapes and form arrangement, such as to place the bed North or East facing, only then can y…

  8. Dear Jeanette, Yes, it is preferred that a water feature does not face the main entrance. This is because, this is symbolic of wealth flowing out of the home. If you intend to install a granite wall feature, try to avoid a highly polished granite or marble wall. Since if it is reflective, it is like a mirror. Where under Feng Shui, a mirror facing a main door is not favourable since, it is considered as even before 'wealth" or qi comes into the home, it is deflected out of the home. (Under commonsense approach to Feng Shui, a highly polished granite wall -- is not favourable. Since, once we enter the home, we may --inadvertenly (while in deep thoughts) see an "image"…

Dear Yang Ming, 1. In my opinion, even if we are unable to keep a distance of 2 feet or more, it is not a worrying concern, as symbolically, we can still keep smaller distances. 2. In many of the previous queires related to the same topic as yours, there are many people who have also faced same problems and even a distance or gap of a few centremetres is still ok. 3. Depending on your layout plan, where possible the kitchen should not be too close to the door, if the knobs on the stove point towards or out of it. 4. The main objective of this `exercise' is to try and keep the warmth in the home. It also depends on the compass direction of the kitchen. If the kitchen is …

  10. Dear Joanna, 1. I hope I understand your message correctly. Do you mean that the bed should be on the opposite wall from the bedroom door? If so, this is often the norm - for privacy and also, one can often see who comes thru the door, first. 2. But, one must be careful of the "coffin position". This is where, the feet should not point directly towards the bedroom door. Here, this is symbolic of carrying a dead body out of the home. If there is really no choice, either: 1. do have a bed head - or a small bed head cabinet where one can place one's alarm clock and some personal items e.g. watch etc.. 2. the other alternative is leave a few inches gap between the wall an…

Further to what I had mentioned, this attachment shows one of the best facing directions of the study/work table at North (Prosperity direction). And if one "drags" the layout plan into the actual layout, it fits into each of the bedrooms (Master bedroom for Mr X) and the second bedroom for Mr Y. And for the bed, one will notice that one of the best bed head facing direction is East and this is the better facing direction of the bed-head vs having the bed-head facing a bad West direction. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  12. Sorry, I thought exams are fixed by the examiner and not the other way around. In my opinion, if one has studied (smart) and well prepared for an examination; the date is not a major issue. Really; this is the first time I heard this kind of "self-select" exam date. A first for me! As for your feel that your husband may be cheating on you; you should perhaps consult your immediate family e.g. parents or very close friends to discuss what you could do. Often, direct communication with spouse could help to improve the relationship. When it comes to such a thing; best to consider professional help - don't keep everything inside of you.

Dear Anon, It is `reserved' for members who have a religion or have statutes of `gods' or `deities'. For example, the Fu Lu Shou figurines should not:- 1. Directly face a toilet 2. On the same wall as the toilet. 3. Placed inside a bedroom. The chief consideration here is to give utmost `respect' to these "gods". In a bedroom is like changing clothes in full view of the `gods'. So far, I do not see the same rationale for applying auspicious symbols. However, I have yet to see anyone pasting an auspicious symbol inside the toilet door or facing a toilet bowl. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  17. Dear Anon, This sounds very familiar recently. This is because nearly everyone who got their keys at The Eden condo at Tampines are `cursing' their developer. Fortunately, many of those who got their keys in the first phase - several of my clients there, are fortunate to have the kitchen at the `South' location. If the kitchen is at the south, this if acceptable i.e. OK to have the stove face a water position. In general; the most inauspicious is the kitchen is at the north of the house. (For example, if one stands at the centrepoint and use a compass. If the kitchen is at the north direction; this is not very favourable. To be honest; the only Feng Shui remedy is to r…

Dear Elena, In fact, a Feng Shui investigation takes into consideration 3 factors: 1. Shapes and Forms Feng Shui 2. Flying Star Feng Shui 3. The trigram associations. Para 1 and 2, is pretty much documented or mentioned in many of the messages. Under Para 3, the trigram associations or commonly known as life associations, NW for some Feng Shui practitioners is believed to be the most important trigram in a home. This is because, it is suppose to be the Heaven trigram or the father or the head of the home. Let me give you an example: Many Feng Shui practitioners do not like the kitchen or stove situated here because, to them NW is the "Heaven's gate". And, a stove is …

Dear Lingling, Please see below:- There is not much you can do to avoid a sharp corner. It is best if one avoids having a sharp corner in the first place (if one can). If it is a wooden beam, one can use 6 metal coins tied with red string and place it above the beam. Here, 6 coins representing big metal can be used to destroy wood. If it is a concrete beam, hang two bamboo flutes as follows:- ------ / \ / \ There is also another Find out what is the intangible influence for each person. If the intangible influence is inauspcious for a person, let the person sleep further away from the intangible influence. For example, if the father has the Prosperity…

Our stand for all time zone related is to use the local time of birth. This is because to factor in location, the only true way is to input the long. and lat. of birth. But that adds further degree of error and not everyone will record this information, so not practical to be used. So you should use the hour as in the hour when your son is born.
