Dear Susan, Each house has to be looked at on a case-by-case basis. It depends on the distance of the house e.g. back of the house to the drop off point. And the gradient of this drop off point or slope. Overall, a large land has some advantages. Especially if the back is `spacious' or better off situation. In such a senario, if the proper `fencing' or ability to create a solid backing can be done, this can be acceptable. Therefore, no two houses are the same. Dear Jason, Usually, it would depend greatly on your personal Ba Zi i.e. the position of the main entrance door rather than the position of the garage whether it be at the left or right side. And it analyses all 24 directions = 360 degrees and specific to e.g. the breadwinner. However, if a sector is deemed to be an auspicious sector is "occupied" e.g. by a toilet, etc... there is really not much one can do - to improve the situation. Please refer below:- You only need to have a divider that covers the full (main door). In many instances, one can use e.g. a semi-circle or rounded edged divider so that it will not become an `arrow'. Alternatively, a screen can also be used. Dear Anon, Under Eight House theory, there is not much one can do. As this theory is particularly useful to select houses prior to moving in. If it is under Flying Star Feng Shui, this looks at the birth chart of the house. And since it is based on the common denominator i.e. Five Elements Concept, then if any of the sectors are considered `inauspicious' - it can easily be balanced or neutralised.
