Dear Master Lee, A question on this topic about front door facing direction. I realised there are different method of calculating the best direction of a front door. Besides targeting on the breadwinner, the spouse should also be taken into consideration. For exampleif I use the 8-Element of the couple for calculation. If one of thembelongs to "Earth" and the otherbelongs to "Wood". Since Wood Enhances Fire and Fire Enhances Earth, is it true that the common direction for the couple is Fire which is "South"? Dear Francisco, There are two ways to look at it. If you sell things complementary to the needs for the dead, probably you will do quite well. Dear Anon, Thanks for the sketch! The "overhead" beam that you had mentioned (illustrated) is very common situation. If one looks carefully, with a pillow, the head will (never) be under this beam. If so, there is no issue at all! It is not the same as having an overhead beam right across one's body or the overhead beam is in the middle of the bed. If so, this is a concern. Dear Pam, Frankly, whether which is better, will depend on which chart will better fit the house. For example, if you have double 8 at the main door or facing direction, obviously this would be most ideal. But if your double 8 occur in the toilet location, then it isn't as beneficial. Same goes for the sum of ten. If the sum of ten occurs at a main door or facing direction, obviously this will be good. If both occur at the best location, then probably double 8 would be better as this is the reigning period 8 so it is the best stars to have at the frontage. Dear Anon, Usually, your office would have installed blinds. Simply draw the blinds and this is good enough : " if one cannot see it it no longer becomes a threat. As for the sharp corner of the pillar:- 1. from your illustration, it does not seem that the front pillar slices into the person. So should not be an issue. 2. furthermore, for a sharp corner in an office, usually after approximately 1 metre distance away from it, the sha qi is pretty weak. So far only possible thing you can do is to try to choose luck dates or ensuring you wear more favourable colours during your meeting with the potential buyer. Probably only additional feng shui method is to quote some feng shui benefits. Maybe it will help change the buyer's mind. Dear ed Gin, In this case, either (a) or (b) which you have mentioned are both acceptable. Like the saying goes, if you cannot see the problem, then it no longer becomes an issue. Dear kb Ang, Frankly, even with a simple Eight House (4 good and 4 bad directions), there are so many people who still find it hard to apply due to complete oppositestype of chart between two person. That concept you mentioned is only add further complications. Anyway, I don't advise the use of it, simply because there is an even better one that is derived from the Ba Zi Feng Shui. Ba Zi uses the date and time of birth so it is likely to give better results than Gua (Kua) analysis. Gua analysis uses only YEAR of birth. Hope that helps.
