Dear Daniel, I don't think it is a good idea to let your car rot since it will make the surrounding chi stale and it might even block the good chi. But then it is just my opinion. Anon

Dear Kum Loong, San He Water Theory i.e. San He or known as Mountain Water theory is very much based on Shapes and Form i.e. Water classics concepts. Majority of the concepts are summarised under:- http://www.geomancy.net/fs/wcourse.htm I recalled, sometime back Lilian Too wrote a book about Water Dragon Classic or something like that. Perhaps you can check out amazon.com ... Warmest Regards, Cecil

    1. Usually for any occupation, it should be viewed under two categories: 1.1. The Industry of the business 1.2. The job function, one's job specification is into in a firm. 2. Thus any retail business usually should fall under the "fire element" i.e. Sales, marketing are generally considered a retail function or simply selling goods or services. 3. Sea food - although it can be considered as coming from the sea = water, in the context of the Five Elements, it should encompass the "earth". Thus, in very general sense, seafood is derived from (the sea) which is part of the earth. (Element = earth element) Quote: Linh D. wrote: Please give me some advices, I want to kno…

  5. 1. Yes, a bedroom should be well ventilated. And moving is generally good: i.e. open window to allow fresh air. 2. Under commonsense approach to Feng Shui, the windows can be opened (fully or partially) so long as :- 2.1. If strong winds, then make sure that the bed (face/head) is directly away from this window. Best that the bed is away from the bed. 2.2. Moving "air" such as placing a fan to circulate air within the bedroom is always a plus point. 2.3. For those who have the privilege of turning on air con; it is best that the air-con should not be located above one's bed-head. As cold winds flow downwards and at night, if air con is turned on, cold air would blow …

Dear Daniel, The key ingredient to the shop is the store-front. Pay more attention to the frontage of the fruit shop. As you did not mention the type of store, e.g. one at a Government Housing Block or an upmarket store. If it is at a Housing block, check the demography e.g. is it a new or old housing estate. The best trend is to have an inviting front e.g. open area at the front to display and extend the fruits out to the corridor (if this is permitted). As fruits themselves are colourful and bright, do remember to keep the store clean and bright e.g. white walls. Wishing you sucess in your venture! Warmets Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I'm setting up new biz and would like to know what color is suitable for my company logo. I'm in electrical trading & installation works. Understand yellow, grey and blue are suitable colors. Pls comment on this. Electrical Trading often deals with wires (Metal), while installation works is more Wood as it involves creating electrical setup/frame work for the house. So I have to classify your business as more Metal/Wood elements. Typically, when we want to create more suitable colours we go :- 1. Adding elements that will make the elements stronger. ie. for Metal to grow, you add Earth (yellow). For Wood to grow, you add Water (blue/blac…

  8. Dear Anon, 1. You do have an interesting point. 2. Since this is "thought provoking" anyone wants to make a guess before, I make my comments? Ladies and Gentlemen, put on your thinking caps:) 3. It would be interesting to hear who has the "most logical" answer to your question. 4. On another issue, I was toying with this idea:- Since this present forum will be 1 year old on the last day of 1999; I was thinking of e.g. issuing a special commemorative Millenium Certificate from Geomancy.Net to e.g. the Top Ten users of this forum &/or the Top Five message posters (other than Robert and myself). Dear Anon, 1. The worst senario is where the front door meets the balcony or there is a direct path from the main door (exiting) towards a window, or balcony. However, this is easy to solve as most of us are aware, to place a screen or close the side of the balcony glass facing directly the door. 2. For the case of the bedroom door facing the main door, this is less auspicious than Para 1. You can still close the bedroom door when the main door is open. (I can understand the problem of placing a screen here). It is still best to use a screen if the main entrance door is next to a wall. This is an ideal situation for placement of a screen. But if the main entrance opens to…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Hello. My boyfriend and I just moved into a new apartment. We are both two different directions. I am west and he is east. How can we decorate so that we live harmoniously? This is a very common and quite easy to solve by applying the give and take approach. 1) The house should most importantly be suitable to the breadwinner of the family since he/she earn most to support the family. So the breadwinner must get the best facing so as to get the most luck. 2) Since the breadwinner has luck for the house, therefore he/she can take a less suitable bedroom and make sure the spouse is can draw luck from the room. Since the two person are opposite,…

Dear Glenetta, To be honest, this has more to do with beliefs than Feng Shui. Since the Chinese consider red as auspicious, usually, anything to do with red is favourable. For example, for us, the Hong Bao or red packet - which is a small red envelope is often given (with dollar notes e.g. $2 or $10) each. A sample of the red packet can be viewed under this link:- http://www.geomancy.net/mypictures/cgi-bin/mypictures.cgi?img=0&search=red+packet&cat=all&bool=and Often, the Chinese would buy red paper i.e. red on one side and white on the other side. They would write "lottery" numbers on this paper. If you want to you can do the same. Or if there is a pin…

Dear Kaushal, Yes, overall, the description you provided is certainly not a good `Shapes and Form' position. Usually, if the bed is next to the bedroom door, the best `defense' is to have a reading or side table. A lamp is placed on it. The above is symbolic of having a `partition' between the bed and the toilet door. In your present description, usually, a `low linen' cabinet is placed between the end of the bed and the bathroom door. But I am not sure if this is feasible. But this is one remedy. Closing the toilet door, may not work but it should be closed. Other than this, check for #2 (sickness) and #5 (misfortune) in the bedroom. Usually if it is not `Shapes and Form…

The sprinkler is sharp and pointed. Yes, any pointed arrow is considered a poison arrow. However, in feng shui we also have to consider whether is it a big or small threat. Big threat are usually large like a corner of a wall that cuts into you will create a much more larger posion arrow. In my opinion, one can or may use a combination of : 1. Virtual water + activity: 1.1 Since this is the living room area; and if there are pocket(s) of opening e.g. When at home, try to see if it is possible to have such openings. For example, if the main door has an extra grille gate; can lick it and open the main door partially. 1.2 Continue to have activity at the living room area. 2. The most common advice is that of placing a water feature to activate the #8. Since this is the living room, it is/may be possible this year. 2.1. You have to make extra effort to properly understand the Five element concept. As other than the base star; water is good to reduce or negate …

  18. Dear Anon, So far, I do not believe that anyone has painted their walls black. Black creates a dark environment. Contrast this with a white wash house that looks bright and clean. Therefore, there is some truth in the statement. Applying the 33.3 percent ruleset, other black objects or items should not be an issue here. For example, IBM products are all black. Their excellent IBM thinkpad notebook PCs, some high end PCs are all encased in black. Robert and myself, do use these black machines without cause for concern. Overall, one can also apply the 33.3 percent ruleset where less than 33.3 percent is not going to affect a person. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. In my most recent posting, I elaborated on the Holy Trinity of Luck (Geomancy Luck). 2. The single most abused thing in Geomancy today has to do with a marketing ploy for us to purchase "stuffs". 3. If we analyse carefully, this area or the sale of products comes under Human or man luck. 4. The reason why products are touted today is that Geomancers will try to squeeze out as much as they can out of our (hard earned) money to "sell" or "promote" products. 5.Thus, many of us who had visitedFeng Shui sites before will come to expect that site has a products page with all sorts of products for sale. 6. Actually, such products costs very little to produce.…

Try to ensure that he is sitting facing his best direction (ie. Excellent or Prosperity direction). Dear Anon, 1. Other methods include hanging beaded curtains. Or have a side table and placing a lamp on it if say the bed is facing the door of both rooms. 2. Alternatively, place a linen cupboard i.e. it can be a low one inside one of the rooms. The above are the best alternatives. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Larissa, I reproduce a previous message posted in this forum. I reproduce the whole text. So that you can find that the user had mentioned that she had being using a water bed for a long time and had no adverse effects to her. Here goes.... Dear Jane, Most users are aware to avoid digging up the earth especially at the East. This is based on the " Tai Su " or Grand Duke Theory. Grand Duke actually refers to the `gravitational pull' of the largest planet circing the Sun i.e. Jupiter. Did you dig earth at the East side of the house. if so, one way to neutralise this is to use `metal'. For example, if it is possible place the car between the digging and the house. For w…

Dear Knight Elliott, Regarding the toilet in the center, unfortunately, there isn't much you can do unless you can move the toilet position to another location. The only thing you can do is keep the toilet door close and toilet seat cover down when not in use. Try to fix up other areas in your home that is fixable to increase luck from other areas so as to compensate for this flaw. Probably the corner from the wall would be the thing you should worry more. It is hard for me to tell you how you can block it, some suggestions would be if you can have some form of partition blocking the qi shi at the main door or some plants at the corner to break the shape of the poison a…

For example, if placed on Saturday, only sweep the floor after Monday i.e. from next Tuesday onwards ONLY. - After this date, all the ang pow money can be used to purchase sweets or sweet-drinks for own family consumption.
