Hi there, I have a question regarding the use of mirrors in feng shui. I want to place a mirror in my bedroom. I'm planning to place it in front of the entrance to my bedroom to make it seem more spacious (there's about a metres length of space in between the wall and the door). I just watched a feng shui video that briefly talked about how walls in the path of the door is not good as itis a form of blockage to your life. The thing is, my room is at the end of a hallway, while my mom's room is directly across from mine. I'm wondering if putting a mirror to create more space when I first walk into my roomwill cause any conflicts or problems of any sort, because I'm not sur…

Master Lee, Since my last correspondance to you, I 've moved my bed where my head will be pointing East when I sleep. I hope the following description provides you a visual of what my room looks like: [____East____SE wall__________Window(SE/S)____] [East Wall: Bed closet along part of S wall] [windowalong E/NE wall.1 ft closet] of headboard overlaps window [NE/N wallSWwall] [N__________NW wall___________________Door (West)] I've place a wooden screen with pictures covering the window on the East wall. The room actually "feels" better but I want to tap into my best direction. I would really appreciate your feedback. Thank you. Kind regards, Olivia

My house(allmain windows)is facing west, I don't really mind the afternoon sun but, I heard west means "death", is it true? And if so what can be done to avoid this bad effect? Thanks a LOT!

Dear Master Would appreciate your guidance on the following:- 1. Is there any cure for a plot of land that is wider in front and narrower at the back? The land is facing E and sitting W, so the whole of SW is missing. The house is built right in front of the land. This is because it is on a crescent. 2. My house was built in Period 5, how do I change it to a Period 8 house? Some books advised changing the whole roof, floor and front door, others said just change a few roof tiles. Some said do renovation (but how much renovation?) while a new age consultant said have a ritual/space cleansing to change the energy. I am confused. Please advise me. Thank you, with much apprec…

Dear Angela, Angela Le wrote: 20-Year Reigning Period: 8 (2004-2023) Does this mean the information provided to me applies only to a house built between 2004 -2023? In the house hunting report, this period refers to houses built within 2004-2023. This is because the flying star influence is calculated based on the 2004-2023 so the best houses in period 8 will be different if it is built earlier in period 7. Thus, when you do a house hunting report, you normally prepare a period 7 and period 8. For houses built in period 7, you look at the best direction recommended in period 7 report, while if the houses are built in period 8 look at the best direction recommende din p…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I am looking at buying a property where I can build my new home. ... Is there a way to counter the negative impact of those 3 problems, or I simply have to forget about this property? Thanks you very much for your help. I hope I can repay you one day if you are in Sydney. Since you haven't bought it, I would strong advise against purchasing it. There are quite a number of articles about such houses and the problems from it. So far, there has been no effective solutions to counter the negative impact from such underground water. So if you haven't purchase it, don't buy it. Look for other better property. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.…

Dear Hoa Luong, Hoa Luong wrote: I'm going to completely renovatethe convenient store for my gas station business.According tothe blue print, the architect puts the bathroom right next to my office (my office and the bathroom share the same wall), I don't think this is a good idea. Dear Angela, Angela Le wrote: I don't understand very well on how to improve my earthly elements or at least increase or decrease it. Like what is considered water, ( a water faucet in the house) and what is considered earth ( more plants in the house). What about wood furniture? Can that be counted as earth and wood? I am a strong fire and apparently for the next 10 years I need more earth than water. What does that mean? I tried finding the answers on the site, but could not find it. Please explain. Basically, make use of this talk article about the five element and relationship as a reference:- URL: http://talk.geomancy.net Generally, you should look at the larger p…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Please help. My new home (location and direction)was picked by a builder. It faces Southwest. My kitchen is the most northeast. My bedrooms are northwest. You will need to check out using some of the free tools on the website, whether the facing of the home South-West is this a good direction for the breadwinner (person earning most to sustain the family mostly in a family the husband for example). So for example, if you check your date of birth for the breadwinnerand South-West is Excellent, then this house direction is suitable to you and thus,…

Dear Lily, Quote: May I ask if the breadwinner of the house is Strong Wood and water is his unfavourable element, can he still have a fish tank in his house if his house has a W8 in the right position. A little of everything even the unfavourable element is acceptable but too much will not be favourable for a Strong Wood person anymore. In this case, the flying star W8 is the water wealth sector. This will superceed the requirement of the ba zi. As what you are activating is the water wealth. So having a water feature there will be ok as long as it is in the right position where the water wealth is located. So even if the person is a Strong Wood, he can still …

Dear Guest, In terms of studying, you should try to take a look at:- 1. Either your study direction, should try to face one of your 4 good directions under your eight house chart:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/reports/free-report/freerpt-8h.htm 2. Make sure also that you take note especially on where the sun enters into your room. Try to to study against the glare of the sun or where the sun light shines onto your table as it can be very distractive under such situation. Or where too much sunlight especially shining on the walls of your room can also make it very warm and thus very distractive. 3. The last thing to check is sometimes, it could be due to the colour sc…

I want to thank you for replying and helping me with all of my questions that I have sent you. First of all, I had written about my front door of the house I live in being stuck and my landlord wasn't willing to do anything about it. The other day, I decided to try to fix it myself. I had found out it is in my career area, in which I have been stuck. So, amazingly, this time (unlike other times I had tried), the door freed up as I pulled with all my might. It is an old door and it came apart as I pulled, but not to the point that I couldn't fix it. I got out my screws, nails, hammer, wood glue, and masking tape and worked on it for two hours. I fixed it!!! I left it open …

Hi Mary, Finding work is probably work itself. I know many many people who do not practice Feng Shui and still are able to find good jobs. Here are some of my suggestions to enhance your luck with work. 1. Get educated. Beats working for McDonalds and settling into a career that you enjoy doing will take you to success. 2. Go for a make over. Change bad habits, create a positive attitiude. Be confident in yourself and if needs be, get a nice hair cut and upgrade your clothes. 3. Aim for the top. Companiesneed tolook at you as a valued worker rather than a burden to the company. 4. Excercise. Keeping yourself in good shape and good health will improve the soul. 5. S…

Dear Cindy, Would firstly appreciate that you do not post a message without any message content. Anyway, a house birthdate is defined as when the house was built (ie 1999 (would be a period 7 house). If there are renovations (especially major ones), ie hacking of walls or changing of interior structure of the house or expansion of the house etc. Such major renovations may cause a birthdate to be changed to a new period. So in such cases where major renovation was done after the house was built, the house might be converted to the year the major renovation was done. Hope that helps. Dear master, My life became miserable since i have moved. Although i like the house, i think it is totally wrong regarding feng shui.I started a new real estate and architectural design business last month, and couldn't get one client yet. My relation with my partner is worse than ever.I read every single word on your site about facing directions of a house, but i am still a bit confused.I live on the 2nd floor of a 2 storey building. In this case i should take main door as the facing direction. however, there is nothing but the adjacent wall of the next house here. all the windows and the street is on the opposite side. It is very confusing. In either case, if take the…

Dear Cheryl, cheryl ludwig wrote: My best directions for my desk to face are SW and NE. The way my office is situated, for me to move my desk, it would sit diagonally. However, I thought that anything situated like that would not be good feng shui. What is the best possible thing to do in a situation like this? Thank you in advance. It is nice to get everything suitable to your personal feng shui. However, sometimes due to constraints this might not be possible. Especially, for office sitting directionis limited unless you own a room to yourself. Often, most people do not have much choice or flexibility in such changes. From what you mentioned, the current position woul…
