Seek General Advice from Master Cecil Lee

  1. Started by myfs_85086,

Hi Cecil, Good morning. Would like to seek some advice on the following issues: 1) House number: Sty #05 and Unit number 314. Hence when read together, it appear to be 5314. In Cantonese, the essence read turns out to be bad meaning. Pls. advice whether is there a remedy to enhance it. I also suspect that my present infertility condition may be due to the bad meaning of the unit number. 2) I was told by some of the colleagues that wedding photo should not place on top of the bed head board. This will cause conflict & argument with the spouse/partner. Is it true? 3) Is there any feng shui tips/object that could be placed in my bedroom to enhance the chances of having t…

Dear Gines, 1. Yes, I have used your layout plan provided to find out the centrepoint of the house. 2. The centrepoint looks like it is at the same location as what you had drawn. Please see below:- Please refer to attached sample showing, North, South, East, West, NE, SE, SW, NW. (every 45degree increment). The easiest is to use a protractor to draw the outline. You do not have to worry if the living room or dining room is `L-shaped'. By dividing as shown in the attachment, it will fit in different sectors. Under the compass school of Feng Shui: Eight House and Flying Star, you need to determine the direction of the main entrance door. Here, it is meas…

Dear Darlene, 1. In my opinion, many of us live in different parts of the world and climate/humidity is different. 2. Look out for plants that: 2.1. Are easy to maintain: They do not need much attention or need to be regularly moved out of the house. Plants that can `live' all year round the house would be nice. 2.2. Avoid plants that have torns or spiky. 2.3. In Asia, because of the humidity, some grow more plants with `waxy' leaves where moisture loss is less. In general the following plants can ge grown indoors (but depends on where it is placed) and the part of country one is in:- - Lilies - Money plant - Begonias - Bromeliads - Peace lily The above are some of the ty…

Our education system is famous for rote learning and erh.. but nothing else... No wonder there are so few entrepreneurs in this City State....hmmmmmm Please don't regurgitate; I appeal to you to re-read but no avail...sigh? Smurfs have blue face... so whats wrong with the 2nd attachment and the full text under the 3rd attachment... Further to what I had mentioned, earlier. The reason why the ball on top of a pedestal was shown; is because it makes a good choice to illustrate the mechanics of the Five Element concept with a water fountain. that's all. Do take note that the way a ball rotates can symbolise wealth either coming into or going out of the home. For a rotating …

Further to what I had mentioned earlier:- 1. In this real world of today; to make sense; it is best for an individual to focus on the micro-level. 2. There are two levels: macro and micro. 2.1. Macro refers to the industry one is in. 2.2. Micro is about analysing what is one's MAIN or CORE job function one is hired to do. Thus, for a sales executive; the primary job is to close deals or sales = fire element. 3. Otherwise, some wise guy can argue about your job all day, all year long and still cannot come to the conclusion : what element your job is. 4. Anyway, as mentioned in the last message; many perform multi-skilling. And in today's real world, one's element can be mo…

Dear Ingo, Usually, a river head is like a dragon's head. And often a river location draws activity. When water is concerned, it is considered inauspicious if: 1. it becomes a stagnat pool of water. 2. if the river seems to `cut-into' the development. Yes, your city sounds very enchanting:) 3. Overall, based on your description, the building you live in sounds ok to me. Often, it is the friction of water with air(even if it is on the surface of a river) that creates ions. Better if it is positive ions that are created. Reference url: 1. Water classics of AD600:- http://www.geomancy.net/resources/art/art-wclassic.htm 2. Dear Roeland, Roeland de Looff wrote: Suppose someone is weak wood and sitting ina sector in which the woodstars 3 or 4 are prominent. Although these stars are no good in a general sense will these stars benefit the weak wood person? Not really. This is because a sector has several influence at work, even though there is a star 3/4 which are wood element. That person might benefit a little from it, but not really a great deal. Given that the flying star sector has 20year/year/month/day stars changing all the time, as such even ifa presence of star 3/4 is there, it isn't enough to be considered a Wood element presence. This isn't as strong as staying in the East dir…

Dear Kaushal, Yes, money plant can cling on walls and can be considered as a `vine' plant. It can equally grow well on a bed of ground. Plants, if they are not left to grow wildly are always considered `acceptable'. But if it were to grow within the house, try not to allow it to grow up the wall. For the external wall, it can still be grown but do not allow it to `over grow' uncontrolled. If one has an area where you want to grow it, in my opinion, this is fine. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hi, Usually Christmas Trees are displayed for a short duration before and after 25 December. This is not a problem and the lightnings and many do place an Angel on top of the tree. The flashing lights do add to increase Yang Qi and it is a "welcome" change. Once the festivities are over, it is usually removed and not a permanent "fixture". Similarly, some Chinese homes or shops have the equivalent of placing a Red piece of cloth with auspicious wordings above their main door during Chinese Lunar New Year. Often many take them out soon after. Warmest Regards, Cecil

In addition to Para 8, please see below:- 8) In addition, at the KITCHEN, place FA GAO x1 and ORANGES x3 on the stove. - with an ang pow with 20cents or 2 dollars or even number notes/coins will do. - Do not sweep the floor on the three days of placement. For example, if placed on Saturday, only sweep the floor after Monday i.e. from next Tuesday onwards ONLY. - After this date, all the ang pow money can be used to purchase sweets or sweet-drinks for own family consumption. B. In many instances - for homes especially many Housing Board flats that come "bare" without living room floor tiles done; i.e. only cement screeding; most likely after three days, o…

  16. As a final option, individuals who are extremely pressed for time and need to begin renovations right away can opt to perform the initial open door procedure and remove all items after waiting for one hour. This is typically the case when the client has to vacate their current residence, has just received the keys, and must start renovations immediately.

For this 2nd part; it also involves: all those highlighted inYELLOW in the chart. 4. Unfortunately, you cannot simply use or apply the shadedGREEN area = eight house in ISOLATION. 5. In the chart; you will see that Eight House and Flying Stars belong to the Compass School of Feng Shui, also. 6. I am truly afraid, if you were to DIY or want to DIY, y…

Hi Henry, Generally a wind chime should have hung on the outside rather than inside. However, please take note about wind chimes as different number or rods or the type of materials the rods are made of can greatly have an impact if hung at the wrong location of the house. Usually wind chimes can be used as a cure to cure different problems. But if hung at wrong locations where the elements are not needed etc, may cause more problems than good. If my bedroom door is north facing into the bedroom and the bed head is facing east what can I do to help my husband sleep ! He has chronic sleep problems. His birthstar is 6Wood (born 1958)and mine is 8 Metal(born 1966). Our room is dark and full of dark furniture - at the foot of the bed is a large dresser(West), a window (south) is directly opposite the door, and another window is at the NE corner. We have a house fan that pulls all the cool night air in but I'm wondering if it's activating too much chi through the bedroom for sleeping. Any thoughts, advice or remedy possibilities. Thanks - I'm so glad I found you ! Lydia

These are some of the considerations:- 1. A partition need not necessarily be "air-tight". Many acceptable partitions have see through design. 2. Often it is considered not to use reflective glass facing the main door for two reasons:- 2.1. Symbolically, if the glass is highly reflective and facing the main door; one may inadvertently "reflect one's weath" out of the main door. 2.2. For some, when opening the door, one can see one's reflection (shadow) on the partition and some may think that there is "someone" in the apartment. 2.3. Often, some may use sand-blasted or opaque film at the main door side. While the inner side can still be a reflective surface. 3. For asthet…

  22. Dear Hoa Luong, Yes, not so much of Feng Shui but roller shutter e.g. aluminum pull-down are good security measures to protect or act as a deterent - for the glass panels. This quite a common feature even in my country and many shops use them without any ill effects on Feng Shui. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Based on what you had mentioned, the newly insatlled lamp post does not seem to be a threat. A threat is where, if one stands at the window or door and looks outwards directly ... and if it slices into the house, this may be a problem for those staying there. Usually, if there is a `leak' in the house, it may not necessarily come from the `L' shape house. As `L' shaped houses need not necessarily be affected in this way. Most probably, there are other leaks in your home. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Is it possible for you to sketch your layout plan using a paint program and attach as either e.g. .gif or .jpg as it is quite difficult to understand the text sketch although you had taken much time in drawing it. This was the reason, I opened your message several times, wanted to review your message but could not comprehen with the lack of a proper layout sketch. Warmest Regards, Cecil
