Dear Anon, Closing the lid of the toilet sit is secondary to Feng Shui. Here, the chief consideration is to try to locate imbalances e.g. using the Flying Star analysis for the house. If there is an imbalance, we need to `fix' it. As for closing the lid of the toilet, in my opinion, it is better to simply close the toilet door. If so, one do not need to close the lid of the toilet sit/bowl. You have brought up an interesting perspective thou:) Warmest Regards, Cecil

  2. 1. As this year the #5 misfortune /sickness sector is at North, it is strongly advisable to see if one can delay installation of the grille and windows until (if possible) after Chinese New Year, next year. 2. The #5 has often to do with health issues and sometimes unexpected serious accidents. 3. Hopefully that the compass readings is done correctly as this year also, Grand Duke this year is North-North-East, 30 Degree. Which is very close-by to the North sector. 4. Yes, if you really need to, select a good date for the "dong tu". Dear Elena, Yes, this is acceptable: Either: 1. Cut the aluminum foils into 6 circular discs each without the red paper or 2. Cut the aluminum foils into 6 stars i.e. to `5 pointed star' without the red paper. This option is less advisable as the pointed star is considered `sha qi' to some practitioners. But both are a `cheap' alternative to the 6 i-ching coins. Warmest Regards, Cecil

This is a sterling example to understand, the critical qi flow, based on the Flying Star Theory. Under Flying Star Feng Shui, for bedroom two, the most likely influence comes more from the East sector, be it qi or wind coming into that room from the windows or thru the bedroom door. While the NE stars are locked up between the corner of the bedroom and part of the staircase area. The Eight House Theory has severe limitations i.e. you are either at a sector or under a different sector. It is not like you can get the earthquake to change the total directions of the home. Anyway, the stars you mentioned provided iti is for the East sector, are not that bad, as there are w…

Dear Mdm Tan, Glad that you find this website useful a. From a Feng Shui point of view:- 1. Generally, it is a site worth considering as: 1.1. all the blocks can be of very high floor(s) 1.2. higher floors have generally good unobstructed views 2. For such a development, often, the aim is to get higher floors vs lower (1 to 5 storeys) 3. Try to use the Eight House to check to see if the home especially fits the breadwinner. 4. Another major Feng Shui consideration has also to do with where is the afternoon sun? Generally, it would be good if the masterbedroom, bedrooms and even the living rooms are not "bathed" by the afternoon sun. 5. Even if the rooms …

    1. For novice, suggest that you get a competent Feng Shui practitioner to review your home. As what you are asking even the first question is focused on your children's personal ba zi elements and other considerations like Flying Star numbers etc.. 2. If you have working knowledge, then, you may consider DIY. Otherwise, it may be an uphill task to do-it-on your own. Anonymous wrote: What is the good color wall for kids study room ? Bedroom ? Under symbolism in Feng Shui; more importantly, the object should not: look fierce, seems "hungry"; thin or skinny. That sort of thing. It is quite subjective; but overall, since this is a family home, consult with family member about their opinion of the object. The so called "lucky cat" is not a Chinese origin. It originates from Japan. Yeah, the one where one of it's limbs (paws) waving. This "lucky cat" looks more like a pussy cat.. Thus, it would be a joke if somehow someone mistook it for a lion or leopard or jaguar of sorts... *smile*

  14. 1. Although, if you go for a full ba zi analysis, it will tell significantly your 'traits' and types of career - this is only a general comment. 2. Usually, go for your feel. And in business; much has to do with the business model .... Quote: Anonymous wrote: I am a wood dragon. Born in 30/4/1964. I opened an internet cafe but business is very slow. 1. The apartment number analysis in this website is based on Vertical Flying StarFeng Shui. As the name "vertical" suggests, qi varies from different level(s) or stories (floor). 2. Since yours is a landed property, there is no precedence under Feng Shui or Geomancy on whether a number is auspicious or not. 3. You may have to consider other numerology assessment for the house no.

Hello Master, The urn of my father's ashes will be deposited into the niche soon. After more than 10 years. The niche is for 4 urns. Im worried about putting him in a niche for four urns, Like the niche is waiting for 3 more urns. Is it better if we put him in a niche just for one? Also, do we need to put inside? I plan to fillit up with his clothes and other mementos so there's no space. Thank you very much!

    1. In theory, some Feng Shui practitioners automatically find that anything out of the ordinary is no good. 2. In my opinion, as the slanted ceiling is unlike a concentrated beam, should just leave it as it is. 3. A concentrated beam is no good as there is suppose to be a higher compression below it. While the slanted ceiling is totally flat much like a double decker bed which has a large flat surface. 4. Furthermore a higher ceiling improves air circulation or aids better dispersion of heat more efficiently. 5. For me, I would not be too concerned with it.

Dear Anon, 1. It is true that if one asks Traditional Feng Shui practitioners, many if not all would recommend that doors open inwards. 2. Here, it has to do more with symbolism. 3. For example, a door that opens inwards, is symbolic and looks like a gesture of "welcoming". 4. As you had mentioned, since this is more a `need' or regulation of a location or country, we may need to be `realstic":- 4.1 In terms of Feng Shui, a door open outwards can be considered of "secondary importance " in Feng Shui. Here, we open hear the following words echoed (consciously or unconsciously) to:- " PROTECT, PROTECT AND PROTECT ". 5. Thus, more importantly, we need to PROTECT our MAIN En…
