In the Five Elements concept (or simply, in theory), a weak wood can actually increase the weak wood with "water element" and "wood element". Thus strictly from a career perspective, for example, an accountant (metal) in a water element company e.g. Pepsi or Coke is one example. Or another example is that of an accountant by training but one's work scope is "wood specialisation". Wood can range from a CEO, making a company grow, or many other wood careers eg.. co-ordination, training, teaching and many more. Most importantly, we should be very thankful that you have talents to go so far as to go into one of the professions where there is a proper professional body! A…

Dear Anon, Yes, I do agree with you that there are many different opinions on the Ba Gua mirror. 1. We can look at it primarily under two broad categories:- 1.) With a religious inclination 2.) To protect against Sha Qi such as a house with the main entrance facing a `T' junction or other poision arrows. 2. The advice provided is also based on the inclination of the practitioner. For example, if the practitioner is `deeply rooted' in religious beliefs, he/she may ask their customers to use a Ba Gua mirror for almost every door of the house i.e. the main entrance, the kitchen door and the backdoor (facing outwards). 3. Some practitioners even are not convinced about the Ba…

Dear Andy, Generally, you can opt for: First Choice:- A. Metal (white / gold or silver) with Water (blue, black or grey) combination. Second Choice:- B. Metal (white / gold or silver) with Water (blue, black or grey) with Wood (Green or brown) Where: (Metal = circle, water = wavy or wood = tall and thin) Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Roberta, Roberta Belliveau wrote: since I have begun remodeling my main bathroom, I have experienced a series of expensive mishaps - cracked windshield, flat tire, broken tie-rod, expensive contract. Any major renovations you do after 2004, will change your luck to the Period 8 (2004-2023). Sometimes the house luck may change for better some may change for the worst depending on the direction of your home and whether the previous period is better than curren…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Could you convert my DOB for me, I was born on May 4, 1968 of the Chinese calender and I would like to know what was the Western calender? Some people told me it is May 30 and some told me June 01. Based on the chinese lunar calendar:- Lunar: 4th day, 5th month of1968 Western: 30 May 1968 So 30 May 1968 is the correct western date of birth for you. If western: 1 Jun 1968, then your lunar is 6th day , 5th month of 1968. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

1. Frankly, spook or irritation are very close. Unless it is disaster vs spook or irritation or death vs spook or irritation, then there is a "vast" difference. 2. Thus in general, when it comes to the "eight house" or using it to allocate a bedroom; very hard to differentiate between spook or irritation. 3. And it seems that both children are of the "west" group, have to just go with your feel. Alternatively, if one is able to draw a flying star chart, then see which bedroom can match their bazi colours. For example, say the bedroom at the SW is better suited for some colours based on the flynig star. While some colours are to avoid. E.g. the bedroom should avoid Eart…

Dear Eva, 1. Overall, under the Eight House concept, this would imply that this is the least suitable house for the breadwinner (your husband). In terms of degree of suitablitly, disaster and death at the main entrance is considered the least suitable house under this theory. 2. It generally implies that even if the house has excellent Feng Shui, because the house and the breadwinner's Ba Zhi does not match, overall, if the house is excellent or even if there is a `cure' if needed under Flying Star, it would be `average'. However, one must also look at the influence in the bedroom of each family members. Where possible, the bed room should be an auspicious sector and (not…

Dear Anon, Actually, when we consider luck under metaphysics (Geomancy), we should look at it from a holistic approach involving three types of luck:- Previously, I have already mentioned about three kinds of luck:- 1. Heaven Luck (known as Luck that was given to us when we are born) If we can see our Ba Zi chart, it comes under the category known as Pian Cai or "lottery or windfall" luck. Some of us are quite lucky while others do not have this type of luck at all. Worse, some of us have this luck only when we are at death bed e.g. 99 or 100 years old! 2. Earth Luck (or commonly known as Feng Shui) While some of us many not have Pian cai or lottery luck, some of u…

1. Other Traditional methods: Since this is a "metallic" "beam", then another option is to draw a small thin red line where this air-duct is just above your head or use scotch tape or masking tape and place a thin red string with two ends with the tape. The red string runs above your head. 2. If you do it properly, very hard to notice the red "line". This red line represents fire element to curtail the "metal". Hope the above helps.

Dear Anon, It is best to avoid Death / Disaster which are the worst cases. As for the ranking of Spook / Irritation, these are inauspicious. Frankly, one need not need to find a weightage of which is the worst or not too bad based on a ranking system. What matters most is to try to avoid the most inaupicious : Death / Disaster. While Spook / Irritation is considered inauspicious. Looking at it in another way, all the four auspicious sectors e.g. Prosperity, Longevity etc.. are considered auspicious. Is there a purpose to rank them? The issue here is to try to avoid " Death / Disaster " as far as possible. While Spook and Irritation ... are inauspicious. Warmest Regards, C…

Dear Respected Sirs, I am finalising the design for a new house, and I am having difficulty interesting the architectin Feng Shui considerations. Attached are two images, the first of the original house design, the second with an alteration to the staircase, amongst other things. The architect said he had been told that a staircase could face the front door directly (which I realise is a very undesirable option) as long as a large statue or water fountain was placed between them. He later agreed to modify the design, and produced a curving staircase as shown in the second attached image. My two questions are: 1. Does the curving staircase solve the problem - ie, i…

Dear Aj, 1. There is a reference to the interpretation of colours at http://www.geomancy.net/fs/colours.htm 2. Yes, there are many `ways' Feng Shui practitioners interpret the use of colours. 3. In general, the safest colours for say a house is white. 3.1 As white represents the metal element and is usually, Metal element is predominantly used as a cure for both `bad' wood and `bad' earth elements under the Flying Star Feng Shui. 3.2 Of course colours are subjected to many many interpretations: 3.2.1 Some practitioners apply or advise colours based on `feelings'. 3.2.2 While other practitioners or usually books on Feng Shui may say that since North = Water element and Wa…

1. Please note that generally "Feng Shui" cures are or should be considered as "preventive cures". It is not meant to be used for "existing situations" such as say constant backache etc.. 2. Whenever in doubt, always seek professional help! 3. The ideal choice is the luxury of selecting a home where in general, majority of the bad stars are not clusted at the "mouth" of the house (frontage) and anywhere that we frequently spent time at. Of course this is a luxury most cannot "afford" or too late since we have lived in the home. 4. Nowadays, if we want "clean" air, it is best to depend on Hepa cleaners (such as reputable brands like Honeywell air cleanrs or Japanese Sh…

1. For larger areas (& rooms) it is strongly recommended to use the pie chart method. 2. If the two sets of Flying Stars span between two bedrooms:- 2.1. Visualise where is your bed and see which sets of flying star numbers falls within the majority of the bed and/or 2.2. If there are openings to the bedroom; consider which sets of stars covers especially the windows or any openings (doors or windows) that may be frequently-be-opened quite often. 3. Process of elimination Since both sets of flying stars:818 997 do not contain #5 nor #2 then it is safe to say that one does not have to worry about the bad earth #2 or #2 elements.

Dear Anon, 1. Personally, I feel that the main drawback of a figure eight condominium complex is the shape of the apartments. It tends to circular and not that ideal under `Shapes and Form' Feng Shui. (Especially if the rooms are curved.) 2. It also makes it difficult to place furniture on the side of the curving wall. On has then to try and `correct' the shape by getting custom made furniture. 3. Basically, it is the main synificance of the number 8 that `sounds' attractive. Otherwise, it is like any other developments. 4. One plus point or a demerit depends on the frontage of the house. If the frontage faces outwards, than all the apartments will have in a way water pos…

Dear Cilla, Not having luck with you isn't really that bad. Except that it means that you will have to work extra harder in order to achieve any success as compared to another person with luck with him during the same period. However, ultimately, you still have to ensure that you have a good business model. As no amount of luck can help you if you do not have a good business model. Hope that helps. 1. Please note that a home can be considered as falling into any one of the 24 sectors. And there are differences in where your home frontage is (main door) etc... As ALL landed property would normally have two or three exit drainage points: and 1 or 2 are meant for wealth luck. and the 3rd exit point is usually for "Power and authority" (e.g. a politician, staying a home can weld great power or a boss / CEO). 2. Thus, all these new proper analysis. It is not like typing a few sentences and then "you get your answers immediately". http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/Want_to_build_your_dream_home%3F#IS_THE_DRAINAGE_OF_MY_HOUSE_IMPORTANT.3F 3. Dear Chew Chin, For a beginner of Feng Shui, the easiest to `pick' up is the Shapes and Form School of Feng Shui and the Compass School: Eight House Theory. For advanced audits, Flying Star Theory is used to determine the birth chart of the house. Pillars of destiny: element strength and season of influence is used especially to understand a `bigger picture' and to further analyse the various cures/enhancements and its effect on the individual. For those who do not have the patience or do not want the hassle of reading endlessly about Feng Shui can get a professional help from FS practitioners. Please see below:- I believe that you are very new to Feng Shui. It is be…

Dear XiuMei, 1. Is it possible to upload a sketch of the bedroom and its attached toilet and the proposed wall that you want to knock down. This would help me to understand the layout out better. 2. Usually, it is still acceptable to have an `L' shaped bedroom. Of course, ideally, the room should try to be of rectangular or squarish shape. 3. An `L' shaped room can easily be `cured' by having a partition or a divider (if space provides or that it does not hinder the placement of the King/queen sized bed. 4. An `L' shaped room is in my opinion, acceptable. Sometimes, even if the bedroom is odd shaped, if one makes the effort to e.g. use built in cabinets to `cure' the room…

Dear Thoa Le, Yes, if the home flies to Period 8 N1, then the water tank can still remain at SE particularly to help drown the MS#2 and WS#5 at this sector and also reduce the effects of the palace (base star) #7 - loss / robbery/theft star. However, please take note that other than having double 8's at the frontage; and good sectors at North-East and East sectors; other sectors do not have very goodflying star numbers under Period 8 N1, you should do a bit more homework to see if some of the bad #'s do not come into other sectors of the home or need to neutralise, them. Thus, flying to Period 8 N1 - needs closer study since it can be a "double-edged" sword.. Warmes…

Dear Anon, Frankly, you are not alone. There are thousands and in-fact millions of people who bought homes prior-to or never even heard of Feng Shui. Or had bought their dream-home prior to consulting which is their suitable directions etc... In order to apply Feng Shui, it is best to go more on a holistic approach. As there are many (many variables) not just "one-wrong" point and oops! We are done for! For example, in many instances, even if a home does not suit us but some homes may have "superior" external shapes and forms. In addition, under Flying Star Feng Shui for the current period "Period 8" - in general; NE homes are suppose to or can benefit from good Feng …
