Dear Tril, There are several rulesets in Feng Shui. One of the more visible method is: the 33.3 percent ruleset. Here, so long as a sector or location has 33.3 percent of an element, it can be said that this element is dominant at that sector. A good example is let's say a bedroom. Authentic Traditional Feng Shui is not a religion. Everyone be it a layperson or even religious preaches have their own right of view of such things as Feng Shui. 2. This is often considered inauspicious because that there may be a probability or "a higher risk" of landslide. Especially if there is unduly a heavy rain and plus soil erosion. Dear Anon, In terms of this question, with regards to Grand Duke and sitting direction. If possible, you should avoid sitting facing the West. However, where you have constrain in this, then this Grand Duke issue is the least concerned. There are many concepts but not everything has to be followed depending on priority. Dear Daniel, For the sitting position, the direction your (front) faces should be the `auspicious' direction. For example, if you are sitting on a table with your face facing North, and North is your excellent sector under Eight House, then this is considered `auspicious' under this theory.
