Dear Anon, If all things remain constant:- Either 1: Your daughter's ba zi does not match your mother-in-law. But I would rather suspect the "jealous" syndrome or there is a better description for this. In fact, frankly, in my opinion, it is very common for children. For example, often, we hear of one having only one child. And for the child, he/she feels that he/she is the "centre" of his/her family's entire world i.e. in terms of love, affection and "pampering" for some. But, suddenly, we are expecting another 2nd child. Perhaps, after giving birth, "less" attention or rather the 1st child felt that less attention was spent on him/her etc.... Perhaps, your mother-…

Hi. I have three questions about my room: 1. I am thinking of putting a loft bed into my room to save space. My room is on the South-East corner of my house, it has one window facing south and another window facing East. The bed can only go in the south-east corner of the room, where it will be in front of the East facing window. This will cut off some of the light, but as I work nights and sleep days, that is not a bad thing. Are there any Feng Shui rules about Loft beds I should know? 2. Also I have three pet garter snakes I keep in a terrarium in my room. What sort of effect do they have on Feng Shui? I have read articles aboutfish and Feng Shui, but there is little…

Would moving the bedinto a diagonal position help? In general, it is the location of the WC that is most important. If the headboard is placed on the wall that exactly where the WC is also located, then it is not very auspicious. Otherwise, if the WC is located away from the headboard, then it is not as bad. Of course, it is not as ideal. In general, the bed should be best still anchored to the wall. That means that it should be be left floating in the middle of the…

    1. Please note that what you had mentioned has more to do with partial breakdown of your elements. Often, in career analysis, another important factor is the element and strength one is: for examaple, a person can be a strong water person or a weak water person or a strong wood person vs a weak wood person. 2. Furthermore, the industry one is in and the job scope (job function) one is in is also considered. Brayden S. wrote: Master Lee, from my elements i have very high water element and low fire element. what should i do to improve my career which is currently not going smoothly. currently working in a manufacturing sector.

Dear James, 1. Often, a better method is to apply Flying Star Feng Shui. This is because, if the sector that you are placing a water position has #3 or #4 i.e. bad wood elements (disputes, legal entanglements, scandals etc...) 2. Then under the Five elements concept: Water helps fuel wood element. 3. In such a situation, this will further inflame #3 or #4. 4. If you are not sure what I am talking about, please do some research into Flying Star. Or do a SEARCH in this forum for this topic. 5. The worst location based on Shapes and Forms Feng Shui is to try and avoid water position at WEST direction of the house. As this is said to be the white-tiger domain. Water could in…

Dear Jen, Thanks for the information. Yes, this is very common even locally in my country, also. It is not necessarily true all the time that such houses will have a wealth leak. As many of us are aware: 1. Under Flying Star Feng Shui, certain homes (based on facing direction) are said to have better qi flow then others. Thus, in one aspect, a home with a good facing direction does matter. 2. How suitable the house is to the breadwinner. This is another consideration. 3. Quantum Leap in Feng Shui Often, a home (on it's own) can be an average or good house. But, ulitmately, some homes can "suck wealth" from it's neighbours. Only then, can there be a quantum leap in Feng Sh…

  12. Dear Merklein, It is a good idea to `fill' in the `missing corner'. Where possible, top down (aerial view) it should end up as a `complete' rectangle if you can. The alternative is to have a `boundary', top down again (aerial view) one can see the outline of a rectangular plot/area of the house. You can extend the living room to the `sun-room'. But make sure: 1. You should not in anyway `chop' off the head of the house (if the house has a head shaped profile). You can do any renovations on the `body' of the house. 2. The extension should not make the `head' of the house in disproportionate or the `head' of the house becomes `heavy'. The `head' refers usually to the fron…

  13. Dear Anon, Yes, this is the case. For example, at the main entrance area, where one can activate the water star, i.e. clear space in-front. One cannot possible activate a mountain star at this location. The logic is the same e.g. in the living room where one should not activate a mountain star. If there is a wall and a mountain star is `available' one cannot activate a mountain star and a water star. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Major Sono, 1. For a building, usually (majority of the time), its Feng Shui depends on the entire building. If the building has good " Feng Shui ", based on good shapes and forms and a good open space at the front. If this building has been looked at under a Feng Shui perspective, it is said that it good for the tenants. 2. In your case, (the building) of the house if it already has good Feng Shui properties, and if there is already a water position at the frontage, it is usually not necessary for you to have a water position in your office reception area. 3. As I mentioned in the earlier mail, Shapes and Form Feng Shui is equally important for layout placement. Th…

Further to what I had mentioned earlier, to-date, I personally feel therefore that the color of a main door is not going to make any major difference. This is why, majority of doors are in wood tones or wood tone colors. What is more important is the external shapes and forms as well as Shapes and forms plus other factors other than simply the door color. This includes the number of steps etc... 1. Please note that the article is only based on general comments and statements. 2. And it does not apply only to churches. 3. Dear Jacqueline, Frankly, it is difficult to give proper advise, given limited information. This is because, usually, when we approach a home, we look at the layout plan or of the interior of the home; the location of toilets, openings e.g. side openings etc.. to see if the wealth leak can be minimised. In relation to the current `wall' etc.. It also includes scanning of the next door neighour and the fully area front, back etc.. Therefore, given the limited info, it would not be a good idea to give any remedy as you had mentioned, it may bring far worse complications if done wrongly. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. For a matter of interest, if you visit www.lovesigns.net; you can see a pictural chart of the 12 animal signs. 2. Do look closely the animal sign that is opposite your animal sign. For each animal, the animal sign directly opposite your sign. 3. For example for an OX, the most incompatible animal sign is the RAM. 4. Under www.lovesigns.net; it is based on just the Year of birth. 5. Ba Zi Feng Shui or Pillars of Destiny i.e. Year, Month, Day and time looks far more closely on the interactions; combinations, triple combinations and clashes to provide a detail analysis as opposed to a simplistic model as in the Year of birth " Chinese horoscope " under www.lov…

Dear Sor Lan, 1. What you had mentioned is a popular practise by the Cantonese dialect group. This popularity is based on the belief as what you had mentioned; that a mirror used in the hope that it can reflect `double' the luck. 2. We can (on a less scientific level) base it on feelings. However, if one uses more scientific methods such as The Flying Star Fen g Shui, where one uses it to determine if a sector is auspicious or not. If it is inauspicious, then, it is strongly felt that one should not place a mirror at that sector or we may inadvertenly bounce back twice the bad luck. Warmest Regards, Cecil Lee

  22. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Can you tell us how to neutralize the Robbery and Misfortune stars in a bedroom? And how can we prevent activating the Double Robbery stars in a master bedroom? Robbery Star is usually Star 7 (weak Metal). To weaken, it normally you use either water to exhaust the metal, or Fire to destory the metal. Fire may activate the Misfortune Star which is usually Star 4 (strong earth). So usually, water element might be the better solution such as yin water. Colours for water are like light blue/light gray etc. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research.

  23. Dear Anon, Please see below:- I believe the picture is the artistist impression of what the site looks like. It is always good to have trees as it will encourage birds also. I believe so. 1. Here, the overriding factor is the frontage of the unit circled under Picture 1. If one notices carefully, the top two units are in the shape of two hands in a `receiving' position. (Try to look closely and one can see that there is a `U' shape. In fact both units have Double 7. 2. Next, the main door is facing the water position for the circled unit. 3. It is on a gradient hill. The bedroom of the circled unit is sitting on tip of the entire house. This is symbolic of t…

Dear Sophia, So long as the altar table is of sufficient length (often proper altar tables fit the Feng Shui ruler measurement); there should not be an issue as to how many deities are placed on the table. It also depends on the size of the deity and usually, as mentioned previously all of them should not be placed on the same height or level. The rule of thumb is that one should place a reasonable number of deities one worships but bear in mind that there should if possible no two identical type of figurine such as two Guan Yin's etc... (Other than buddha figurines since there are lots of various buddha's so having a few buddha figurines is not an issue) The most bus…

Dear Raja, 1. Let me share with you my personal experience on laughing Buddha and all sorts of crystals... 2. I personally feel that these should be treated merely as decorative items. 3. Typically, in Singapore, especially those who are Chinese, mandarin educated, staying in three room apartments and some four room (government housing), do have such figurines in their homes. Often, they not only have one laughing buddha, but often even two, a coin bank or even the three-legged toad. Plus often, at least a fish tank. And often, they would have stayed in the home for more than 8 or more years with little progress. 4. Imagine, already, their flat is cluttered, adding more …
