  1. Dear Anon, The semi-circular doormat should not be utilized in all areas of a residence. The most suitable place for the semi-circular doormat is at the entrance of a bedroom, for instance, positioned in front of the staircase. Apart from this, it is recommended to place it outside the house, even though it serves as a mild form of Feng Shui defensive tool. For instance, when ascending the staircase, the bedroom door is directly visible. In this scenario, the semi-circular doormat could be appropriately placed here to counteract the sha qi emanating from the staircase. Thus far, this is the only location or circumstance that I can identify as acceptable for…

  3. Dear Anon, Please see below: Under the Five Elements concept: A STRONG fire person is said to be able to `melt' metal/gold. Thus, this is considered as his/her career related to "wealth" However, for a WEAK fire person, it is said that he/she may not do well unless, the person is in constant contact with Wood element (Since wood will help weak fire, person). The above encapsulate the term "Career with Wealth". Under the Five elements concept, there is another category known as "Career with Power and Authority" as this term suggest, one can attain high position in a career related to this. Since you are a Strong Metal person, career in the field of water is considered …

1.As a strong fire person; your good elements are: earth, metal and water. 2. Your wealth element is metal. This type of career is suppose to lead to greater wealth. 3. Your power and authority is water. Thus a career associated with water is considered favourable for you. Can reach higher position of authority.

Please note this is a General Advice forum. Please don't take advantage of the forum by asking more micro-micro questions which is too specific to be of interests to many users. Hi I am really keen on the low floors of block 24 which you advised against. If I do decide to get it, is there any way to counteract against the inauspicious shape of the club house's roof? Please advise. Thanks.

Hi Cecil and Robert! I'm currently looking for a resale flat as my first home and actually quite like the unique look and convenience of Waterway Terraces. Chanced upon your site while doing research as I think it's important for a home to have good fengshui. I notice that you've picked out some "less bad" units for Waterway Terrace 2 (https://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/12776-hdb-punggol-waterway-terraces-ii-premium-flats/), did you do something similar for Waterway Terrace 1? If so, I could not find it! Would love to use that as a reference. Cheers, J

Dear Anon, I am not sure if anyone have heard of the Show `Kung Fu' starring David Carradine (I hope I spent his name correctly). In this show, or a series of TV episodes, he is also called the `grass hopper'. In one episode, he had to use his arm to hold up the buring cauldron. When he did this, his left hand was burned with the profile of the dragon and his right arm the profile of a tiger. Usually, these `monks' wear a robe and the markings of the dragon and tiger are not shown. For a dragon ring, it is in my opinion a small object and secondly it usually does not point towards the person. Anyway, it does not really matter being a small object. Looking at it another…

  8. Dear Cecil and/or Robert: Happy New Year! My house is SW2, P7. I'm aStrong Water(70%) with West (excellent), NE (longevity), SW (health), NW (prosperity) directions. Since 2008, I've slept and worked in the direction that's good for me (according to my house's flying star for that year). In 2008, I slept facing NE (which was the bestsector for 2008) and I had a good year. In 2009, I slept facing SW(which was the bestsectorfor 2009)and had an OK year. Accoding to the 2010 flying star for my house, W is the bestsector and NE and SW are average sectors. So I've slept facing West since 2/14/2010. Realizing that W is metal which is not very good for astrong water, so I've b…

Dear Eve, Actually, I personally do not think that is absolutely correct. It is just like saying that every one has the same Eight House Direction or Pillars of Destiny. However, in order to say that is correct we have to see under which theory did the FS Master predicted this. I am not sure if you seen the recent mails that has to do with he Chinese Astrology and the 12 Animal Signs. Just looking from that angle. You will noticed that everyone luck for the year is different depending on which animal sign you are and what is the animal sign for the year. Maybe you should still stick to the cures that has been generated based on your Pillars of Destiny. And maybe in additi…

  12. This has more to do literally with commonsense. For example, majority of the time:- 1. Landed property: Most of the time, this is the clear space area or passage way area. 2. For many smaller condos; usually, this area is close to the passageway leading towards the other "organs" of the home. 3. For some condos and government housing board flats; this area is sometimes within the toilet and or toilet door area or again the passage way area. 4. Thus, commonsense would mean that most likely if any hacking; would be the "surrounding rooms e.g. making the master bedroom larger or demolishing a wall in the bedroom area for a walk-in wardrope or making the room larger or even …

Dear Andy, 1. Frankly, there are no right or wrong answers. This is because in some instances, the "stone" (jade) could belong to one element or a combination of other elements. 2. Let me give you some examples: 2.1 Shape If the jade is shaped like a triangle, then we may say that it is considered as a "fire" element. If the jade is sometimes shaped into jewellery e.g. a jade ring, then many of us would consider this a gemstone or "earth" element. You can think of many other examples, here 2.2 Colour Usually jade is green in colour. The depth of green colour can range from light green to deep grain green. For a scholar of "The Five Elements Concept" perhaps, he …

Dear Colleen, This has to do with beliefs than Feng Shui. Sometimes it is what we want to believe and if one is `convinced' that it will work, then no harm trying. But for those who have doubts in whether it can or cannot work, it is more of " psychology " or of the mind. If we do not feel good in the first place, than, in my opinion, it usually would not work. Take the case of a FS author asking readers to place 3 coins in their accounts book. In my opinion, there is really "no harm" placing it in the book. Whether it works or not is another thing:) Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Earl, Please see below:- 3. Nowadays, not many people can afford to make-to-measure furniture such as readily available tables (dining / living / study / work ) tops. 4. Again, many of us do not have the luxury of employing "an imperial carpenter" who in the past, have all the time to make-to-measure furniture. 5. Nowadays, frankly, it does not often matter if all or any of our common furniture need to be auspicious under the Feng Shui ruler or not. 6. However, for the Chinese, the most important furniture to look out is the altar (family altar or altar to place a god e.g. Goddness of Mercy etc..) Otherwise, it is less important issue especially if the fur…

Dear Regina, Frankly, between the two, and if this is a regular (room) and not a storeroom, than often, opening such a room to tother rooms to let in fresh air is often a more sensible approach. Unless we live in a space station, where we can simply seal up a room, than we could go ahead to lock up the room. Opening a room, by having doors opened all round a home would allow for constant fresh air to move or circulate within a home. In Feng Shui, the worst senarios are : suffocationg qi or stale qi especially from a normal room. Warmest Regards, Cecil

The happy cats have been considered to beckon and welcome customers to the shops by rising its hand (Please note, in Japan, the gesture such as happy cats do means beckoning somebody forward.) and thanks to this, shop, especially restaurant, must do a goods business with so many customers. On the other hand, at the firm village, happy cat was sometimes placed at farmers house as a guard…

    1. We can draw a parallel with the "Yellow ribbon". 2. Let's hope that person changes for good. A glimmer of hope? If not, what the HECK! Sent that person to JAPAN! or NIPPON LAND! A land of few curses and lots of bowing.... 3. I assure you, if the person you mentioned goes to Nippon, he/she will be cured! 4. Some consider the Yellow Ribbon a project as they believe that out of all the hardcore; some might change for the better

Hi Anon, It is hard to advise you what is best to do. But if you ask me, if you don't feel comfortable in an environment, then how are you going to perform your best? At least, this is what can tell from your description so far. It does not seem like you are comfortable at all, ie stress or tense up and worried. All these factors are not going to help you in anyway. If you really do not feel confortable in your environment, maybe you should consider looking for alternative employment (while you continue your work at your current location). Whatever your decision, I think you should first find someway to relax yourself. Only when you are relaxed can you work better, and …
