  1. Started by jyonghy@yahoo.com,

Dear Jo, Nowadays, most jobs involve multi-skills. Thus one has to find out further the main skills involved. For example, in accounting, some people end up doing data inputs and thus their main scope of work has shifted to `computing'. However, I understand that you have asked questions relating to a job and what their elements are, it would not be fruitful for me to reply to each and every one of such questions. Perhaps, if you want to find out more, one can refer to my Applied Feng Shui electronic publication under the chapter " Five elements " which I have listed many types of jobs and the element they belong. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Yes, Feng Shui can help provided it is applied properly. Like the term: garbage in garbage out applies.

Dear Carrie, Accounting, book-keeping, banking and petty cash is related to the Metal element. In the past, this has more to do with the coins and as coins or `gold' are metal, such occupations are broadly classified under the metal element. There is a module on www.geomancy-online.com on occupation. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  4. Started by myfs_133336,

Based purely on Ba Zi interpretation, it would stillbe good for the person to be a "strong wood" person in order to benefit from a "metal" career. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  6. Started by wasis,

Dear Wasis, For flights, it would depend on the direction of travel and transit through countries. As the flight usually lasts not more than 15 hours, nowadays, in modern times, less concerned of many people of the travel from and to a particular destination with the advent for `heavy' globalisation and travel. Which is frequent. Please see below:- Usually, if the house has brought in `luck' the advise is not to `change' it including the frontage if we can. I believe, the change from a garden to pavement stones would have affected the Feng Shui of your home. Many Chinese who stay in Indonesia were not allowed to use Chinese/Mandarin names but instead to take on s…

  7. Started by mehtakaushal,

Dear Kaushal, There is no evidence to suggest that it is harmful to keep `junk' especially in the storeroom. However, it would certainly be `nice' if clutter could be cleared (if possible). Thus the above is `secondary'. More important factors in Feng Shui should be considered such as good Shapes and Form etc.. Warmest Regards, Cecil

In my opinion, even in any location and development;? Thus, even in a district and/or any development in that district; the "bell curve" applies. To understand, more about the bell-curve; this is a useful link:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=6&mid=32652&new=%3Cbr

  10. Started by Cecil Lee,

Some of us are familiar with the term "K.I.S.S." applied in other areas. K.I.S.S. refers to " Keep it Simple Stupid ". It is worth remembering that the essence of the above sentence can equally be applied effectively to Feng Shui. After all, it is commonsense and many Feng Shui concepts, theories and ideas are borne out of commonsense. Say "K.I.S.S." the next time:) Warmest Regards, Cecil P.S. I sent you all my " KISSes ":))

  12. Started by ginaman,

Dear Chan, 1. For a house, it is important to understand that the `overriding' consideration before even considering `directions' is the Shapes and Form of the site and the home. 2. Many people like the orientation of a house i.e. from North to South i.e. the frontage is either N-S or S-N. 3. If you are using the Eight House theory: 3.1 Check how suitable are you (the breadwinner) to the house) i.e. the direction of the front door. If it is at your `death or disaster' sector then, this house is the least suitable house to you. 3.2 Next, find out what are the intangible force affecting both of you in the bedroom. Other than the above, and to `face' a good direction, the E…

Hi Master, What do you think of kebun baru new BTO project - stack 123 (main door north east facing)? Stack 123 has west sun facing main bed room door tho. Is it true that for period 9, ne facing is the most inauspicious? Looking forward to your advice! Thank you.

Hi Master, What do you think of kebun baru new BTO project - stack 123 (main door facing ne)? Stack 127 and 125 highest floor is 4, thus Stack 123 has west sun facing the main bedroom wall. Is it true that for period 9, ne facing is the most inauspicious? Looking forward to your reply. Thanks. Attached site and floor plan for stack 123.

  15. Started by Frase,

Dear Fraser, Please see below:- Overall, for bikes, there is no impact under Feng Shui. It is a `small' object in relation to the size of the house/room. I have to clarify that bikes need human intervention i.e. you must sit on it and paddle in order to move. As for a clock, it `moves' by itself i.e. the mechanism within moves continously. Under Feng Shui, it is considered an object that can deflect sha qi. This is why it should not be placed facing a door or a window unless you want to counter an opposing `sha qi' coming into the house. No. As stated above, it is used only if there is a sha qi opposite it. Here, you can then use it. Otherwise, it is not an e…

Dear David, Teo Tai Wei David wrote: I have read up some article on feng shui that it is not advisable to keep aquarium in the bedroom and I am currently keeping 5 fighting fishes as pet. I have remove it and place it at my kitchen near my washing machine now. They are all housed in small jars with no pump and running water and thus the aquarium is a still water condition. Would they affect my house feng shui? Thank you. If you like it, there is no harm keeping fishes as pets. The only issue, is that such water feature especially large aquarium should not be keep in the bedroom. The reason is rather logical also, you see water in the fish tank tends to give off certain…

Dear Anon, Thank you for the link to the sitemap. However, there is no compass marking on the map thus cannot see the perspective from the Compass School. From (only) a Shapes and Forms perspective, without considering where is the afternoon or morning sun, the smaller units #07, #11 and especially #12 and #17 or #14 and #15 looks more promising as #08 seems to have majority of windows facing the opposite #05. Yes, although construction began in 2001-02, but because since no one has yet stayed in the home, it should be considered as a Period 8 home. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Brenda, Frankly, sometimes it is difficult to change the interior of the house especially the plumbing i.e. relocation of say the kitchen sink. We may have to live with such a situation. I believe that there is nothing more, in Feng Shui that we can do here. Other than, shift it away and make clear space. Warmest Regards, Cecil

    1. Frankly, one should not be too unduly concerned about bunk beds, for the following reasons:- 1.1 If we sleep under a bunk bed, one will notice that it is a a large flat piece above us - usually spring and mattress. 1.2 Compare this to a real beam. A real beam is a concentrated piece, usually a supporting beam for a column or structure of a home. It is this concentred beam (usually concrete mixture with supporting steel structure) OR it could be a large wooden beam. 2. For those constantly seating or sleeping under Para 1.2 , should be concerned with. 3. Bunk beds have been around for many (many) years. And as you have mentioned Hong Kong and even in Singapore, tho…

  20. Dear Irina, Here are the following points to note:- 1. Ideally, the bedrooms should be one of the four auspicious directions (Health, Prosperity, Excellent or Longevity). But it is still acceptable if it is the Irritation or Spook directions. This is much better than the death / disaster location. 2. The following are useful guidelines when using the Eight House Theory:- 2.1 Where possible sleep closer to an auspicious intangible force (If this is not possible, then you do not have much choice.) 2.2 Where possible sleep with the head facing one of the auspiciious directions. But do bear in mind the Shapes and Form School of Feng Shui. For example under the Four Symbolic …

As each of us have our own birth-chart. (The date we were born) Even for a home or an apartment: it also has it's own birth-chart. (A home can be classified as belonging to one of the periods. Thus brand new homes completed recently are Period 8 (between 2004 to 2023). When selecting the best colour scheme for a room. For example, in the attachment. The bedroom is located at West. And it is called bedroom 3. Here, the Flying Star chart is plotted to reveal what is the preferred colour for that room. And if a child or two children are to occupy it; then the earlier colour chart for an individual child or a combined both children's chart are considered in addition to the at…

Dear Anon, I agree with you. Currently, there is no facts or statistics (if any) to show that King sized beds are `worse' off. So long as it is a `whole' bed such as a King sized bed, in my opinion, there is no negative effects to prove otherwise at the moment. Warmest Regards, Cecil Hi Anon Don't frighten me! Actually we like King size bed. Can turn here and there ,HAHA. Besides changing the bed, do anyone out there have any more ideas? I don't know why but I can't believe or rather don't understand that why king size bed can led to divorce???? Thanks Stupid Anon Dear Anon, Why cant you simply exchange the King size bed with the Queen size bed. Well I read in the m…

  23. Dear Serene, 1. Thanks for the sketch and image from your main entrance. 2. Based on your description of the ba gua mirror i.e. the convex type; plus the two kirins outside their door; it is meant more for `protection' by your neighour. 3. In my opinion, since your unit is not directly in-front of this unit; there is no issue here. 4. For example, it is common place for many homes (landed property) to e.g. a pair of lions on the pillars of the gate of these homes. And your home is (if it is a landed property) not directly in the `line of sight'. 5. Your view is more of a side view and thus not affected by these placements. The vacant unit i.e. directly opposite this neigh…

Dear Anon, 1. One thing for sure, most of us would (intuitively) feel uncomfortable about this - especially if; one leaves one's main door open. 2. Yes, it is best to take a `peep' on the type of god that they are worshipping (other than their ancestor tablet). 3. Here, it is important to have an idea what they are `doing'. 3.1 For example, if they are worshipping a statue of a buddha and/or Goddess of Mercy; This would imply that their main purpose is for the " Protection " of their home. 3.2 But if they are worshipping " God of Wealth " or any other figurines holding e.g. a long sword; then this can be considered as a `sha' qi. 3.3 For example, Para 3.2 can be considere…
