Dear Anon, 1. Feng Shui is not like the latest US predator remote control plan or using Laplink file transfer. Or it cannot be like the use of PC anywhere or Carbon copy softer. Nor telnet or weblogin. 2. Your earth luck will be determined by where you stay most of the time. In your description, this is in City B. 3. In another example: If one owns two cars, the car that one drives will `influence one'. An Illustration: Volvo or Skoda? ================================ 4. For example, if a person happens to own a Volvo and another car e.g. Skoda; and happens to drive the Volvo at that time. Fortunately for the person, he was lucky as he survived e.g. a serious accident but…

Dear Anon, Thank you for your attachments. Although, it would be interesting to comment on religious buildings; it is prudent to understand that:- 1. Authentic Traditional Feng Shui is not a religion. Everyone be it a layperson or even religious preaches have their own right of view of such things as Feng Shui. 2. I have a strong regard and respect each religion. And as mentioned above, it would not be prudent to comment even on the `house' which the church sits on. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  3. Dear Janna, Usually, the type of cure will depend on the number and type of # number at a sector. Since the sector already has 7 x 2 (small metal); followed by a #2 (sickness), then one set of 6 coins would be appropriate at the specific sector. Please try to determine exactly where the North is? The door closes to this North --- the six coins placed here. Do try to check whether NE or SW has also any other #2 or #5 within these sectors. If so, and if your other doors falls close to it, and IF these sectors e.g. NE and SW are equally out of balance especially if there are further #2 with any other #5 or #3 or #4 then these sectors are candidate for additional six coins ea…

Dear Ken, 1. Yes, since you feel uncomfortable, it is best to remove it as soon as possible. 2. Other information: 2.1 Often, since a bedroom is (more for rest), it is overall considered a yin location. And it would be better that bedroom lights should be balanced with more yang. 2.1.1 Yang is represented by 1, 3, 5 and 7 or odd numbers. 2.1.2 Thus since a bedroom is more yin, it would be better at the ceiling to use lights either 1 e.g. circular at the centre of the room or if one has cornice: lights as 3, 5 or 7. Often in an average Housing Board (public housing flat) 7 lights is already quite adequate. 3. Often, a crystal set of lights is more favoured in a living room…

Dear Dominique, 1. Most importantly, what is the gravity or seriousness of the imbalance. 2. If it falls more into a room especially a bedroom than the second bedroom; then, often I set of cure is necessary. Especially if the other room is say the wardrope area. 3. But if the stars are pretty bad. For example, if the house is a Period 7 house; and the second bedroom is sandwiched between say East (often bad stars here) and South (sometimes bad stars); then the most productive is to paint say this room white (metal). If the room is in beige, cream or yellow which belongs to Earth, this may inadvertently fule further bad earth and thus cure would be required. Warmest Regar…

Dear Anon, 1. Try to do a SEARCH in this forum for " World Trade " - as I had posted something about it earlier. Avoid using " Centre " or " Center " as I often use the British form of Centre instead of the American form of Center. I believe for most of those who died at the world trade centre, many perish with the aviation fuel/flame. In most part, the World Trade Centre tragedy is mostly of cremation or nearly everyone perish - ashes to ashes. I strongly believe for sometime; at least, or a section of the site could become a memorial. Else, if we look into documentaries on Discovery, there were documentaries of `ghosts' at Gettysburg (USA), many other sites su…

Dear Anon, In general, overall, it is said that the Rat would not have as good year in the Year of the Horse. Chinese Astrology, frankly (in my opinion) is too simplistic as many take into account only the YEAR of birth. Posters are man-made. Perhaps, it is to encourage the offering of prayers (with or without substance) - erh..my opinion only. Perhaps, to me, I draw a parallel to a poster that says " Brushing teeth to prevent decay ". And children in school do so together. Frankly, I do not see any harm since physcially at home; Grand Duke has not been distrubed or touched in any way. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Dominique, If one is using the count based on Flying Star Feng Shui:- 1. The maximum count is Number 9. Or we call this 9 purple. 2. The other way of using these numbers are the 81 interpretations based on the combinations of 9 leading to 81 interpretations. 3. Flying Star numbers is also used in house numbers or apartment house numbers. One can check out the free report: House Number for apartments or Flying Star (Xuan Kong vertical Flying Star charts). Go to http://www.geomancy-online.com 4. Feng Shui is about earth luck. 5. There is another Chinese divinity method called I-Ching or Yi-Ching. Dear Dominique, A good foundation is always to try and seek the reasoning. The Chinese I-Ching coin can be analysed as followings:- 1. The outer circle (of the coin) Circle represents metal element 2. Colour of the coin The colour of the coin looks metallic i.e. copper coin. (metal element) 3. What is the square hole? If one looks carefully at the productive sequence: Square represents Earth element. What so good about this? Since square represents Earth, under the productive sequence: Earth supports or fuel Metal. Thus symbolically strengthening the Metal element. 4. Why use 6? (6 coins) Number 6 represents BIG or STRONG metal. 5. Why use Red string? Red represents fire.…

A 360 degree overview of the Flying Star or Xuan Kong Feng Shui at every main entrance of each of the 24 directions (mountains). 2. In addition, the Eight House directions is also compared with Para 1 and Para 3. 3. Personal Ba Zi of the breadwinner i.e. element and strength in relation to direction of the main entrance. 4. Overall, the best house is one where all 3 (Para 1, 2 and 3) are favourable …

Dear Anon, Yes, very often it is very sad to learn that one has to borrow money to do it up for the sake of " Feng Shui ". Nowadays, Feng Shui in it's name sake has come to a very sad state of affairs. Often, these people, simply don't care about others; other than to make a quick buck. Nowadays, majority of FS practitioners are only concerned within the 4 walls of a house or apartment. In fact, Feng Shui is not just about the interior, alone. For example, if the exterior form is not favourable, no amount of enhancement within the house can do wonders. 1. If our house / apartment is like a mini car; no matter how, it cannot seat say 6 adults. If so, we have to buy an MPV…

Dear Alan, 1. In my opinon, this edge has minimal impact. 2. Even if there is an impact zone, I strongly believe the `impact' zone is approximately 2 feet from the edge. 3. If you do not move the bed slightly away, it is still OK. But if you want to, can move it further by a few inches (as shown in the attached illustration. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Emily, 1. If you have a sketch, feel free to upload to the forum for confirmation. 2. Often, this is not a major issue since most (former 3-room flats) have their toilets at the `back' of the house) - Usually one attached to the master and the second toilet sharing the same wall and close-by. 3. 4 sets of such toilets does not necessary mean that it is inauspicious. 4. Often, the benefit of the older HDB flats are that it is mostly rectangular - a good shapes and form. As well as the exterior of he building is a `stable' earth element shape. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Choon Leng, 1. This is not Feng Shui. 2. Under numerology or the science of it; there are many varied interpretations. 3. And it is very diffcult to say for sure which numbers are considered `auspicious'. 4. Given the fact that many years back, in Singapore, I do remember telephone numbers with 4 or 5 digits. Nowadays, HP numbers are 8 digits etc... 5. In modern times, with today's HP, we do not really need to remember a family member or friend's telephone/hp number. For example, anyone sending us an SMS or call us, we can simply `copy' this information into our HP's address book. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  17. Dear Dominique, 1. Frankly, there is no issue in working out two charts and looking at both. 2. However, try not to use the type of logic that you had mentioned below. 3. But instead, try to make sense of this:- 4. Many years ago, many houses were built under Period 6. But because, in 1984, Period 7 came into being. 5. Often, as an investigative Feng Shui; one can plot the chart for Period 6 and Period 7. In many cases, quite alot had experienced Period 6 (staying in that house for several years). 6. What these people do is to see if later on Period 6 or Period 7 houses closely resemble their current situation. 7. Going forward, what you can do is to do two charts and see…

Dear Anon, 1. Feng Shui is purely about our `Earth Luck'. 2. What you are practising is not Feng Shui. Such things has the highest rate of failure. 3.The clue here is that it is too general to be of use to most of us. 4. For example, taken to the extreme: the question asked is : 4.1 Are you sure that you had placed enough? 4.2 How are you so sure that your other suitor of your friend, had place even more than you. 5. Frankly, if we look or reason out, such material things; don't equate to or can give us proper results. 6. In general, such things can be said to play with `our minds'. 7. Often, when it does not yield results: this is where, we should seriously say: let's …

Dear Anon, 1. In the past, many of us who have studied history may recall that there is a bronze age. 2. This is where tools were developed and metal tools and metal was even shaped into coins. 3. But, have anyone heard of a crystal age? 4. If we were to look at crystals or crystal objects, these come about in our very recent history. 5. Here, I mentioned that any use or application can be considered a modern invention. 6. Like the counterpart of a fountain; a small fountain cannot equate to a larger one. Because, there is fewer amounts of water that can friction with air. 7. Similarly, we can draw a parallel to a crystal. Often, the crystal that we buy (if it is meant to…

Dear Anon, You brought up an interesting question. 1. Yes, flowers can be categorised into the various elements. Since most flowers are circular, some FS practitioners may classify them as metal element. But often, the colour of the flower - is often what many FS practioners - determine their element. 2. For many plants that does not often flower, then the leaves are looked at to try and fit them into a specific element. 3. Frankly, all the above are considered `peanuts' Feng Shui or not so important. 4. More importantly, we should look at the concept of Yin and yang. This must be in harmony. And under the Five Elements concept, the most effective is a blend of all Five e…

Dear Anon, In my opinion, it is best to look at "fatal" problems under the following perspective: 1. Often, fatal problems especially those that lead to financial loss does not come alone. For example, a toilet at the main entrance is considered as - already a handicap. This is akin to one having a fractured leg. 2. It would become worse especially if the house does not fit the breadwinner. Plus other additional leaks. Such as additional toilets at the centrepoint etc... 3. Another issue is that a toilet has connecting sewer and water pipes. And especially if one is living in an apartment, it is difficult or impossible to move a toilet. Therefore, when I mentioned `fatal…

Dear Anon, 1. Besides the layout plan; another most important element is the flow of qi - into the house. 2. if there is a relatively clean / unpolluted lake, often, this is a plus point for various reasons. 3. A lake, close-by will often have another `secret' weapon in Feng Shui: trees and plants. And often, with such ecology; it will sustain life (animals or insects). And in many countries, some of these lakes are water catchment areas. 4. Thus, it may not be unnecessarily bad for a lake. 5. Sometimes, if our house has a patio or deck facing the lake; it may mean that this could instead be the frontage of the house. 6. Please note that not two situations are similar a…

Dear White, 1. Frankly, this does not come under the perview of Feng Shui. 2. Often, it is based on location, location, location and the selling price. 3. But, currently with the glut in the property market i.e. where buyers are spoilt for choice, it really - unfortunately makes it much harder to sell even if it is near to the valuation price. 4. Overall, based on many Real Estate agent's advice: 4.1 Try not to clutter the house with too many furniture. 4.2 Try to touch up areas or walls that are dirty. Otherwise, Feng Shui is not the way to go, here. Unless, you can find good `Feng Shui' points. Here again, one man's meat is another man's poison. Wishing you all the b…

Dear Anon, To give an example of a `minor' leak:- A house can be very unsuitable to the breadwinner: i.e. death / disaster i.e. the front door. Often, this is considered as a major leak. If the main door is the `irritation' and `spook' sector, this can be considered as a `minor' leak. Some other simple minor leaks include e.g. a wall clock facing out of a living room window. Often, it is difficult for some of us to understand what are major and minor leaks. But, take it this way, any leak: major or minor may contribute to an accumulation of problems. Dear David, 1. Water position includes: any fountain or fish tank. 2. In addition, colours such as blue, black or gray also represents water element. This is particularly so, for the interior of the home. 3. A water position outside of the house often is excluded under the above definition. Water position outside the house can be based on Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. Warmest Regards, Cecil
