Hi Diana, For choice of tomb, you will have to use shapes and forms concept to determine which part of the land would be better. Probably, look out for like the Four Symbolic animals, where is the tortise protection, where is the open area, and many other shapes and form concept like water position, mountain position etc. Those are more important in the choice of a tomb location. The Eight House suitability isn't used for the dead, it is a concept for the living. Probably best, here to get someone who does tomb location geomancer as they can better advise you which is better position. Hope that helps. Dear Chew Khui Suan, Chew Khiu Suan wrote: I like to find out when i renovate my office in the current period, it becomes period 8, right? Not really. If the renovations are not major enough, it may not be enough to fly over to period 8. Only renovations like hacking down of walls etc that changes the Qi flow within the house are often considered major. The rest may not. However, in most cases, you can still do a symbolic fly over by repainting the entire house, and having at least 3 major celebrations to attempt to fly it over. This will take a longer period of time for the Qi to fly over (ie 1 year or more). Chew Khiu Suan wrote: the thing i am concerned is that th…

1. Since no two lots or sites are the same, just be careful thatthe main door is not facing a T juction (street). And under Shapes and Forms, the drainage needs to be looked at. In general, best to avoid a large drainage behind the plot. Quote: I am looking at a lot, frontage is about 24 meters. But a portion-8 meters is facing a street. Isit still advisable to acquire such a lot. Is there a bad omen to lots facing a street. This is just a portion.

Dear Gerry, Thank you for raising a pertinent question, particularly for new users in this forum. 1. It is traditionally beneficial to comprehend why the Chinese utilize the compass with TOP representing the South and BOTTOM representing the North. 2. Upon closer examination, it is evident that China is situated in the Northern Hemisphere, where the majority of mountain ranges are located in the North. 3. For those who have visited Beijing, the capital of China, it is common to observe that many houses have their windows and main doors oriented towards the South. Furthermore, the absence of windows on the North side is attributed to the dusty storms of…

Dear Reina, Quote: ie period 7 (NW sector has 5-2-5 and yearly 5 will be very bad) ie period 8 (NW sector has 6-6-7 and yearly star 5 not too bad) I don't understand the NW 525 in 7 and 665 in 8. Can you please explain further. Frankly, this is lots of flying star related analysis. I was simply trying create an example to tell you that different period and different flying star numbers in the sector will make the yearly star have different overall influence. 5-2-5 are all three Strong Earth Illness/Misfortune star. With the yearly 5 again nother Strong Earth will make that sector extremely bad. 6-6-7 are Metal related stars. Metal helps to exhaust Earth, thus even if S…

Dear Anon, Let me explain: Usually the main concern is the main entrance door or a window. A good example is Evelyn Lip's story in one of her books Geomancy. She wrote that the owners of a house faced calamity and even a FS Master could not find the problem. Only at a later stage where the Master stood at the door and looked out (during low tide) and saw a profile or figurine that looks like a toad or frog with its mouth opened facing the house. Here, he placed some objects to symbolically represent flies to mean that the mouth is full. From what we can learn here is to avoid letting objects with open mouth e.g. face the main door if we can. It is better to take the pre…

Dear Anthony, 1. The fact that we have been using an online analysis, is already a clear indication that a mathematical way to determine the weak and strong throughmathematical calculation. There is no publication of such a mathematical formula from what I know so far. You can always use our online report to assess any person to see if they should be considered weak or strong. http://www.geomancy.net/reports/free-report/freerpt-element.htm 2. There are two ways to go about that once you determined whether you are weak or strong:- a. By default as a weak metal for example, it would naturally mean that you either lack earth or metal, while you have too much of fire an…

In general, a kitchen contain lots of appliances. And if you are worried about the #5 falling into the kitchen, then one consolation is that hopefully one does have a refrigerator that matches this profile:- 1.1. A fridge especially if it is white or off-white or stainless steel is considered as a metal element. 1.2 Thus if one's frige is described above, and not yellow, then it is considered as a sizeable metal "chunk". And under the Five elements, metal is good to neutralise #5.

Dear Anon, Quote: Some so called "wise" people remarked on house that if main door is located at bad sector, it should be relocated to a good sector. Then my bathroom/toilet which is in the good sector must be relocated to bad sector in order to suppress the bad "qi". Also my kitchen which is in the rear of my house (good sector) should be moved to inner aprt of my house (bad sector). All these of course will mean huge cost to rennovate. Any one has any comment? Xie-Xie.(thanks) In terms of suitability to sector and house etc. Of course it is ideal to be able to have the luxuary to be able to relocate the various rooms so that it will be favourable for you. It sounds to …

Dear Anon, If your house is not too big, then, one should not try to divide each room into sectors. But instead, look at the centrepoint of the house. From the centrepoint, you should be able to properly determine where is the North, NE, South etc... of each area. For a start, it is best to understand fundamental Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. As usually, this is one of the key ingredients or one of the key success factors in the Feng Shui of any house. After this, than, you can explore the use of the Eight House etc... There are some resources at: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/house1.htm And if you are in no hurry, try to understand more, before `jumping the wagon' into Feng …

He is Kan and I am Kun. We rent our house which we both love but is ideally suited to me which concerns me. I am worrying unneccessarily for him or will you be able to teach me remedies (without moving bedrooms or house for that fact) to create a desirable living situation for him. Thank you. Frankly, this is an extremely common situation. You should be applying the give and take approach in such situation. 1. Firstly, identify who is the breadwinner for the house. …

Dear Sophia, Yes, a toilet that can be seen from the main door is asthetically not appealing - whether it is based on Feng Shui or not. It would be good to close the toilet door when not in use. But if it always opened, then the shower curtain is a fabulous idea! Alternatively, closing the master bedroom door is another alternative. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hi, Generally, you should not have any object blocking your main door, as it will divert or split away the Qi (C'hi) from flowing into the house through the main door. Also, if you can see the threat it is often considered a poison arrow. However, may I ask how long have you moved into the house. And whether since you move in did you encounter any problems? One way to see if the tree is really bad or not is to see if you have any major problems (sickness, accident etc.) Also wether or not you should cut down the tree also depends very much on whether it helps you block other more dangerous poison arrow. For example if there a street lamp behind the tree, then the tree act…

Dear Anon, 1. In the past, occupations are `clear cut'. One can easily relate it to the type of occupation. 2. Nowadays, because of different functions and multi-skilling, jobs are harder to identify. 3. In my Applied Feng Shui book, I have provided many examples of jobs and the relation to the elements. 4. Under the Pillars of Occupation Report under geomancy-online.com , it shows the `types' of occupation: 4.1. Occupation and Wealth Occupations, based on Pillars of Destiny would most like provide wealth. 4.2. Occupation and Power Occupations that `gives' one power 4.3. Other occupations Examples of occupations are highlighted each for Wealth, Power and Other occupation…

Dear Anon, Generally, there are two approaches with regards to placing a water feature: 1. Persional feeling (Most common method) Here, as you have mentioned, most likely, either the location choosen seems to be an appropriate choice or because of the home layout; we most likely find that this is one of the better choice. 2. Applying Flying Star Feng Shui As Flying star Feng Shui uses a "scientific" method of determining where a water feature is useful to be placed. Frankly, not many people may want to go for the second approach. However, without using or applying the second approach, there is no reference to state where we should place the fish tank other than usi…

Dear Anon, Based on what you had explained, the more common approact is the door which you enter the actual living space and not the door at the ground level before approaching the living space. The rationale is because if one takes the `exterior' door, the compass direction extends outwards and it is hard to pinpoint the main entrance door. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. In my opinion, we have to place priorites. 2. Even in Feng Shui, our immediate concern is to neutralise external threats first. 3. Within, the house, there are equally priorities that we must `set'. For example, it is more important to redress issues like placement of bed, ceiling beams etc.. 4. As I mentioned in several forum messages, priority should take care of crucial problems such as under Para 1. Furthermore, if it is the edge of a building, it has a far greater mass than a tiny hi-fi speaker. 5. It is important to note that our life on this earth is relatively short. So, if we enjoy TV shows, why not, have a TV in the bedroom. Or a hi-fi. Warmest R…

Is a pa kua above the front door sufficient protection?I understand that you can aim cannons at the offending arrows. Should the cannons be inside the house or outside and should there be some sort of shield behind them if they are inside the house? Generally, any external threats (posion arrows) you may have to use ba gua to protect your house if you are not able to block it. For example, a fence or trees that can block the poison arrow can also act as a way to prevent the sha qi. Or ifthe poison arrow from the roof cuts into your windows, then a day …

Dear Anon, 1. If the tree is in your property, the best recommendation is to simply trim it neatly. 2. Yes, especially if the tree comes too close to the window one can use a fork (which is a safer object than knife or blade). If a knife is used, it is preferred that one uses a butter knife (not so dangerous). 3. But the most effective, is to either trim it or if you do not own it but by the municipal, write to them to trim it. Or simply close the curtain (if you can). Warmest Regards, Cecil
