Dear Master Lee: Thank you for your previous response. If I cannot activate a mountain star in a sum-of-ten house because of the window, will that diminish the good effect of the sum of ten in that location? Thank you very much for your advice, Pam

Dear Master Lee Thank you for the advice. Another question which has been bugging me is: is the angular side of the flat an issue with regards to fengshui. Sincere thanks foradvice. Best Wishes.

  3. Thank you, Master Lee, for your advice. I have two more questions, please. You wrote: To avoid lawsuits, you have to check out where is the Lu Chun Xing (Star 3 - Wood) under the flying star analysis. If there are such stars present in areas such as your main door, frontage, bedroom or study room which you use. These are the stars you want to neutralise so as to reduce any such lawsuits/conflicts. The solution is to have more Metal.Fire is also possible so long as there is no Star 2/5 present. These are the stars normally associated with the Lawsuit issues. Would this apply to a sector where the Lu Chun Xing is either the Mountain star, Water staror where it is just t…

Dear Anon, Anyway, to make it easy, Cecil has already classify some careers into the five element relationship:- Water Career Advertising, Arts, Brewing, Communications, Computers, Drinks, Healing, Laundry, Literature, Manufacturing, Media, Music, Therapy It is not exhaustive, but it should serve as a guide. Just wearing colour isn't good enough. You will need to have more than that to make a weak wood stronger. You need to have as many areas in your life with more water element (ie colours, career, house etc). Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Catherine, Generally, whether or not a date is auspicious or inauspicious depends on lots of factors. In terms of ba zi, luck is always changing every 10-year, 5-year, yearly, 6-monthly, monthly, daily and hourly. So each person's luck is different from day to day. It is very difficult to tell you for sure which day would be good or bad for you. That is where the general tung shu comes in. Every year, analysis is done to generally tell you when which day is aupicious or not. So most likely what you have read from comes from something similiar. A lot of this also depends on how supertitious and how much you believe. To me anyway, Weddings is joyous occasion. Usual…

Dear Oliv, You have to balance up the sector with the element which would be most effective. In case of 7 2 2, then Metal will still be most effective solution. In period 7, 7 will still be a good star, so not much of additional cure is needed. In period 8, Metal and Water would be good solution as it will create a Triple Element flow (ie Earth - Hope that helps. Dear Carmela, Most important where possible for bed position, is the general placement of the bed to the entire room itself. This should always take priority, followed by when possible suitable bed placement based on your eight house directions. Sometimes the shapes and form placement does not permit you to place your bed in your best direction. This is not as important for example, if at least the bedroom sector is located within one of your good directions (ie North - Excellent, but if the bedroom is North), then even if you sleep West (ie. Spook), this is not as bad as you already get the luck form the North sector of the house. In your case where two person have op…

Dear Laura, This is similiar to saying that the wealth sector falls in the toilet / storeroom area so I must work in that sector in order to benefit from it. (ie. bring a notebook into the toilet and work). Unfortunately, when wealth stars are located in certain sectors of the house that isn't fully utilise, there is very little that you can do to fully take advantage of it. Rather than trying to see how you can activate such stars that are trap in less useful sectors of the house, you might as well spend more time activating stars which you can benefit from or fixing other leaks in the home. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applie…

Thank you Master Lee for you reply. While your explanations were well understood, some other questions/need for clarification have come up. The situation I am dealing with is that in the SE of the house (Zhen 288 degrees facing built in 2001) the office is located on the first floor and the master bedroom is above it on the second floor. Consequently we spend nearly all our hours, both waking and asleep in the SE. Further, in the office there are two small walls (one with a black piece of furniture on it) that are painted in a deep berry red color. The master bedroom has primarily Wood and Earth elements (mostly through color) with a small amountof Metal (metal headboar…

Dear Anon, For this coming Chinese New Year (CNY 2005), yes brown is acceptable. Since brown represents wood. And the green in this sector is also OK; since both green and brown are wood elements. Wood element is much like a tree with roots (sink-into-the-ground) to crush earth (bad #5). thus, this is acceptable. This is based on the "destructive" cycle of the Five elements where wood destroys or crush earth element. Reference: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-5element.htm Recommendations: 1. For this coming CNY, should remove the red mat since red can fuel earth element or inflame it. Thus the alternative is to usea blue mat. Here, water helps to draw-…

Dear Pam, Generally, in terms of shapes and form, it does not matter as much as how sharp the bend is. Any such curve bend, it is better if you are located inside the bend (ie on the opposite side of b for example), rather than outside. This is because a bend will look as if it is like a knife cutting or radiating outwards. These three houses (a), (b) or (c) will all suffer the knife cuting effect. All are not as ideal houses if you have a choice. That is why, I mentioned that at first look, it does not look good. This is because it is like the road cut out to the houses. Especially so with that corner house. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET …

Dear Kelvin, Flying Star can be applied to as large as a plot of land, or as small as an apartment or a bedroom. So where you decide to take the facing direction or main door will determine how the flying star chart influence is for. 1. If you are doing a feng shui evaluation for the entire plot of land at Haig Court, then you take the entrance of the plot of land. 2. If you are doing a feng shui evalution for the entire block, then you take the facing of the entire block. 3. If you are doing a feng shui evalution for your own apartment, then you either take:- 3a. The main door of your apartment especially if lower level (ie less than 10 floors). 3b. The facing fro…

Dear Samantha, Basically, the applying of the Eight House or Flying Star is done just as in the Step 7 of this link:- http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-house1.htm Each sector is 45 degree in range. So as long as the bedroom or sector falls under that 45 degree range, then the cures or fixes should be applied within that sector. Usually at the wall or window that is in that sector range. The best example that I can give you is this sample report that Cecil does for his clients in a Full Audit. http://www.geomancy.net/consultation/consult-home/onsiteconsultationsample-layout.htm You need to break up the sectors into the different sectors, then evaluate wha…

Dear Micky, If they are tiny lions, then often not an issue because of it's size. Usually, these should be considered more of a decorative item than anything else. Under the Five elements concept; lions are considered as a metal element. And often, it two huge lions are facing our door, then, the best approach is to place a red banner over our door. Or a red-semi-circular carpet radiating outwards of our main door. Under the Five elements concept: Lion = metal element Under the destructive cycle of the Five elements concept:- Fire destroys or melts metal. Reference link:http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-5element.htm Thus, fire (red) can be used to neut…

Dear Samantha, One must not forget, that flying star is only one portion of a complete analysis. The most important factor to a good house isn't just the 4 walls of the home, but rather the external factors and surrounding. Regardless of whether you take the main door or the facing of the house. Both are not wrong, they are the actual flying star influence of the house itself. Even though, the charts may look different, they are the correct chart for the home. The important issue about flying star is to balance up all the sectors. Regardless of what is the chart, ultimately, the way to balance the sectors will not differ to much. Furthermore, as mentioned, flying star…

Dear Alice, Please always remember that true feng shui does not really need to use any items. The best way to harmonise the environment is not by putting all sorts of 'feng shui items' but rather to ensure that:- 1. You fit the environment based on suitability. 2. Colours scheme of the home/decor/car fits your element so as to gain as much luck as possible. 3. Placement of furnitures such that there is no posion arrows etc. You will find that if you follow the above, it does a lot more wonders than just using any particular items. Of course, such items if it makes you feel good, then no harm in putting it. This is because the Human Luck (whatever makes you feel good…

Dear Anon, For practical reasons, if one must shift house during herpregnancy, it is best that:- 1. she must not see the masterbed moved over to thenew home at all. 2. one possibility isbuy a new master bedroom bed. In particular, for the masterbedroom bed, she should not (must not) see it moved or participate in the moving of the bed. If possible, on the safe side, she should not participate at all in the move while pregnant. Only after the shift has been completed and the master bed is firmly in place, then she can "move-in" or come into the new home. Once this is done, don't move the bed at all. Only after baby's 1 month. You should also read up on some other p…

Dear Pam, Once a house has some water feature (ie drain etc). Then you have to consider the impact of the water course feng shui. Especially, the direction of the water flow as well as the shape of the drain. URL: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-wcourse.htm Generally, a drain near a house, poses a couple of problems typical problems like smell / flooding etc. Most of the time if you have a choice, it is best to avoid houses with such a drain if and where possible. Dear Charity, Basically, there could be several factors which may go wrong. What I can do to help you here is give you free paid reports that may help you understand what could be causing your problem. Most of the the time many areas such as:- 1. Feng Shui luck of existing house could be bad (please use flying star report to check) 2. External shapes and form (ie any sha qi from buildings across the home cutting into your home) 3. Ba Zi element / career (ie weak wood but having metal career which destroy your weak wood). 4. Ba Zi colour (ie weak wood dislike metal - white/gold which destroy your weak wood) 5. Hi Master Cecil, Attached is the floorplan of my second-hand condo brought from open market. I have the following questions and hope you could kindly advise. (1) Is this GROUND FLOOR house consider SE facing (Front Door) or SW facing (Patio) ? (2) Due to strong wind (practically every minute) blowing from NW to SE, the swimming pool water just infront of the patio is very cold all the time.....is there any fengshui implication ? Not so much wind flowing from SW direction due to a nearby building infront but strong wind most of the timefrom the Kitchen/Yard. (3) Is a STRONG FIRE person suitable for this house? Thanks
