Dear Fred, Do you maybe have a sketch of the office/room which you work. 1. Ideally the shapes and form is most importantly for office to face the entrance of the room where people enter into the office. 2. The desk has to be anchored to a wall and not just floating in the center of the room. 3. The room should be your favourable at least even if you face the spook. 4. The window behind may not necessarily be bad depending on the layout of the room. So long as like the desk is anchored. Without a sketch it would be difficult to tell for sure which is better alternative. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I have just purchased a new flat and the concept of my theme is white and zen style. But I just happened to see that my unfavourable colour is green, brown and red. I have brought my bedroom set which is oak in colour and also the tile of my toilets comes with oak brown colour. Does that mean I have to re select the colours for all the furnitures and change the theme of my house? Is there any way I can still keep the the theme colour? Green/Brown=Wood, Red=Fire. Are you are a Strong Fire element? If so, then yes these colours make may your element too strong. However, you can also attempt to balance it by introducing a 3rd element. ie Earth…

Dear Anon, Thanks for your `sharp eye'. Although 2 of the pictures happen to show 7 circles and dashes, it does not imply that all pictures will have 7 circles and dashes. In fact, as you correctly pointed out that in the North picture, there is only 4 circles and dashes. What is more important in the picture is if one looks carefully the profile of the star constellations or star formation. Furthermore, North, is the fourth block of 7 constellations. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Yes, there is such a thing as an auspicious or inauspicious direction of travel. This is based on the five elements concept and time dimensions of Feng Shui. For example even the Chinese Luopan can be used to check on this. By reading off the Chinese Luopan, one can check if the direction one should travel is auspicious or inauspicious. There will be a module on this site later this year on this. Please note that we should not go to the extend of looking at travel to mean travelling from home to office or for shopping. Travelling a few kilometres or simply travelling on a road to use such a theory. Travelling on a road, we do not have control over the directi…

Dear Jack, Feng Shui can help in two situations: 1.Apply the Eight House Theory: Best study directions and Best bed-head directions (for sleep) 2. Yin & Yang; Yang & Yin Many other situations may have to do more with the food you take, your current "stress-levels"; "support-group" etc... 1. Try to generateyour own personal Eight House chart to see where your best work directions are. If possible, but taking into consideration; the bedroom layout plan; you should try to sit facing agood direction for study. It is also nice to have the bed-head facing towards a good direction. But often, like the layout plan that you had sketched out, usually it is much harder …

Dear Anon, 1. Sitting facing one's good direction is considered as "Nice-to-have" and not a "must-have". Thus, as much as we have read that we should sit facing our good direction, but many of us do not have this opportunity to do so. One way is to see if possible all four of you can or some of you can sit to beneifit your good directions. It is good to just convey this to your three other team mates whether, they want to consider this option. (It may or may not necessarily work out for all). 2. From what you had mentioned, you have limited space to work on. Given that there is no option to change; frankly, there is no miracle cure in Feng Shui for this. Especially mos…

1. If you refer to "stars" as "stars" belonging to the Flying Star theory, then:- 1.1. For example, a sector may have Mountain Star #5 with Water Star #9 and base star #2. 1.2. In this simple illustration:- #5 = earth element (significance = misfortune, sickness) #9 = fire element (simply fire element) 1.3. In this example, the water star #9 is not good as the combination of #5 with #9 means that under the Five Elements concept Fire #9 fuels or triggers a more nastier #5. Making the misfortune sickness worse-off! Than if there is no #9 fire to fuel it.

1. From one of the Feng Shui concepts using the compass direction:- http://www.geomancy.net/reports/reports-list/perlist-workposition.htm 2. As you had mentioned earlier, if you are unable to change position, then this option is out! 3. The commonsense is to see how you can maximize your luck in other areas of your life:- The Concept of Maximizing Marks 4. In a situation, where as you had mentioned you cannot change position, then no matter how much you "bang" your head against the wall, you may have to maximize luck from other areas of your "life". Often, it can be your earth luck = home (& office) etc... 5. Factors like if there are any "wealth" leaks such as …

Hello Mr. Lee, Thanks a lot for your interpretation. Appreciate it. But falls under beliefs. Elephants are revered in several cultures especially in India and Thailand. In Thailand, white elephants (if found and authenticated); the owners were richly rewarded and will come under the Royal patronage. There were some cases where grey elephants were found, later to be "whi…

Dear Anon, 1. Pictures with bamboo as part of the background is quite a common feature. 2. For example a painting with Pandas invariably does have bamboo at the backdrop of the picture. 3. Other pictures such as a scenery of a man fishing and the backdrop of bamboo shoots in the background is equally common. 4. Some other pictures, also contain monkeys, birds with bamboo trees at the background. 5. I am not sure if I got what you mentioned correctly i.e. is the painting or picture soley on bamboos? No other objects or animals within the picture/painting. 6. Each picture or painting should be viewed on a case-by-case basis and it is difficult for me to comment on the short…

The water stars to currently activate are #7- current prosperity, #8 future prosperity and #9 - prosperity yet to come. Before you activate the water stars they must be in an open space - like main entrance, not locked away in a bedroom or such other room. Water stars need activity. Mountain stars need no movement. Do not activate other water stars especially #2 - sickness star and #5 - misfortune star. Water in the west is not good. Glyn

Dear Alice, Please always remember that true feng shui does not really need to use any items. The best way to harmonise the environment is not by putting all sorts of 'feng shui items' but rather to ensure that:- 1. You fit the environment based on suitability. 2. Colours scheme of the home/decor/car fits your element so as to gain as much luck as possible. 3. Placement of furnitures such that there is no posion arrows etc. You will find that if you follow the above, it does a lot more wonders than just using any particular items. Of course, such items if it makes you feel good, then no harm in putting it. This is because the Human Luck (whatever makes you feel good…

I am a university student about to be 30, this is my 6th year of a degree, I am a single mother of 4. My studies have been difficult and very exhausting, I am taking longer than others. I am intelligent, I have difficulties concentrating at home, for various reasons (children), stress, sleepy and time management. I just moved into a brand new apartment building, on the 14th floor, I am paying very special attention to the North and North East. I have a wood desk I got given to me today it will be delivered whenever I am ready, however I am almost scared I will place it the most negative of the three options I have...Although I do not know which position is the most negati…

Dear Anon, One way of looking at landed property is to find the frontage of the house. (Or the location with most light coming in) Since this is the frontage or the `entrance' area in such a situation, a grid, with say the main door drawn at the middle can be superimposed on this layout plan. Do note that, an ordinary compass is still required to find the North/South direction so that an appropriate template can be laid on it. In Flying Star Feng Shui, if one notice it carefully, majority of the 24 directional charts or 24 mountains (directions) are almost similar for each period. Thus, IN GENERAL not a major issue whether to take the compass reading from e.g. centrepoin…

Dear Anon, Usually many Feng Shui practitioners will practise: 1. Compass School Feng Shui : a. Eight House Theory or Pa Cai Feng Shui This has to do with the placement of stove/ bed arrangement/study area. If so, usually or often, there is no changes, here. b. Wall colour and wealth area Often, if the wall colour isbright yellow, bright red or bright green, then there may be some instances where there may or may not be changes to these walls. Wealth area willmost often be different under Period 8. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Anonymous wrote: Our flat is build in 2002 (Period 7). Dear Master cecil Lee, Thank you very much for your prompt reply. I would like to understand and learnthe rationale forpoint 3): Cecil L. wrote: A3: Fire element is preferered. As water was inappropriate to activate this NW Sector'coz water exhausts metal. Your answer is to use fire element. But I thought fire clashes with Metal right? as it destroys metal ? What is the rationale that fire is more appropriate to activate the #8 base star ? Appreciate. Thanks !

Frankly, in my opinion, I widely consider what you mentioned under a broad term: "Occupational Hazard". For example, drawing a parallel to you. Even we geomancers also may fall into "Occupational Hazards" once in a while. Here, we would bring along our luopan. And once in a while; during our visits; meet a home that is "dirty" or "unclean" (belonging to those of the other kind). From the safety aspect; just take extra care to minimize personal exposures to risks. Otherwise: it is an occupational hazard".

Dear Nancy, Currently Robert and myself is quite busy with several projects and at the same time helping a few `difficult cases.' However, he has developed the Home Audit module where you can perhaps make use of it first. The only homework here is to get a compass and (if possible a protractor) and take readings and input it into the Home Audit module. The advise given is as good as what we can advise. If you are interested, please sent a private mail to robert-lee@3dmail.com (If you have already created an account under geomancy-online.com, do furnish him the account name so that he can provide you with the credit.) You can clarify with us, should you need further advis…
