Dear Anon, 1. Priority should be given to the Flying Star Analysis as it takes into consideration the Time Dimension in Feng Shui. 2. However, we have to ask this question: Although Flying Star Analysis takes into consideration the Time Dimension, what is the duration of the Flying Star analysis using the Time Dimension? For example, the usual standard is to do a 20 Year Flying Star and if the practitioner is proactive, would also do a Yearly Flying Star Analysis. 3. For those who use the report at Geomancy-online.com, a full report would include the 20 Year Flying Star, plus the Yearly and Monthly Flying Star analysis. 4. Normally, you should use the 20 Year Flying Star …

Dear Rasika, 1. It is best to follow the `method' provided (totally) from a source and not mix e.g. what one reads from a book and `mix' the methods used in other book or website. 2. For example, in this website, the method used is to follow step-by-step instructions under: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/house1.htm or use the free computerised Eight House report. In this website, you get a graphical diagram showing all the eight kua directions and each person's intangible force at e.g. North, South, East, West, NE, NW, SE, SW. Based on this website, you should find the centrepoint of the house and use an ordinary compass. Instructions are at http://www.geomancy.net/fs/cecilco…

Dear Zarah, Please see below:- Here, especially for anyone who wants to determine whether: 1. Is this a missing corner? 2. Can this be a protrusion instead of a missing corner? Under Para 1, for ease of identification, we consider a sector (we divide the house equally into 9 sectors). If the area of the sector is greater than 33.3% of the size of that sector, this is usually considered as a missing corner. If it is a `slight' recess, perhaps, you may want to check to see if this is truly a missing corner i.e. 33.3percent of the area is missing. A small mirror, does not `effectively' provide the "depth" require to cure a missing corner > 33.3 percent. It only ac…

1. Excluding one's Kua, Period 8, in general, NE1 & SW1 can enjoy sum-of-ten especially if the interior layout is squarish/rectangular shaped. For NE2/3 and/or SW2/3, can benefit from Parent String effect. Both homes should have as much open space if possible especially for the ground level : living/dining area. 2. Drainage out of the plot of a landed property is very important! For example, I have attached two samples:showing the degrees where drainage out of the home should best be located. Sample 1: NE1 Period 8 landed property. Note the specific degrees where drainage MUST exit the property. Sample 2: SW2 Period 8 landed property. Again, where the water or…

Dear Lyndha, 1. I understand your concern. Some Feng Shui practitioners believe that the front door should be `solid' and not see thru. 2. Alhough there is some truth in this, most houses do continue to have a solid door. 3. It is hard to generalise what is a solid and what is a `weak' door. But generally, in my opinion, it is still acceptable to have frosted glass on the door as one still retains `privacy' and does not allow anyone to peep thru the main door. 4. For the above, we can see that there can be two `camps' those who insists that doors must be `solid' (not glass etc..) 5. There are those who, would believe that it is either a non-issue or of secondary importanc…

Also we are planning to put an aquarium in the west side(health) in our house which is the back of the house is this a good location?. My kua # is 1 and dh is 2. There are two types of Flying Star analysis:- 1. The most common is the horizontal Flying Star Feng Shui where a home can be classified as belonging to one of the 15 directions or mountains. 2. If I am not mistaken, you mentioned yours is a home and does not seem to have a floor or storey number. 3. Please re-read the objective of that report. If I am not mistaken, the report does mention that it is FOR apartments. The report is meant for analysis using VERTICAL Flying Star. Therefore, there is no relevance to a landed property - if you choose to apply it to a landed property. This is in-correct. Anonymous wrote: Hi, I entered 3310 house number address then the year…

Dear Marie, Usually, more importantly, the people who will missed one's loved one. And it is more of the love. Locally, it is a tradition, for some to even buy an altar (if the home does not have one) or not necessarily an altar but a specific table to place one' loved one (urn). And where possible:- 1. This should not be placed on the opposite wall of a toilet 2. If possible, the table (or generally we call it the altar table) should not be facing into a bedroom. Otherwise, a good location is around the living room / family room area. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Elena, 1. Yes, you are quite right. Money plants comes in small, medium or large plants. Small plants merely have roots and can grow in a small bowl filled with water. Smooth rocks are placed to hold the plants. Here, the money plant does not look like it has vines. 2. It is more a western concern, I believe that plants do not have vines rather than Chinese belief. I believe there is no issue. Perhaps, you can let us know who mentioned the statement or perhaps, the author or the book. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Tanja, In my opinion, the best trouble-shoot is to apply Flying Star Feng Shui. Most likely certain sectors of your home is affected by one or a combination of any of these "sickness" stars:- #5 misfortune /sickness #2 sickness and often "severe" health issues could be attributed to the addition of #9 to any one or both or a combination of these stars e.g. #5 with #5 with #9 = very, very bad health issues #5 with #9 = equally very, very bad health issues and the severity of health issues can come from any combinations or singular #5, #2 and or #9. In particulars watch out for these stars particularly in any bedrooms and/or frontage of the home or living room a…

1. Please use this link (report link) to generate a report to check which is your favourable sitting position/direction for work:- http://www.geomancy.net/reports/reports-list/perlist-workposition.htm 2. However, please note that the above sitting / facing direction for work is contingent on things like the layout plan of the room and/or some of us simply cannot change out sitting positions. 3. Thus, it is considered as "NICE-TO-HAVE" and not a "MUST-HAVE".

If Feng Shui is to be considered, you may have missed issues especially with Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. For example, how the drainage flows out of the home to external surroundings, etc....and many other such factors need to be considered. What we have now is the disappointments with Flying Star Feng Shui. Time and again, I mentioned that even if one scores 100 marks under Flying star, bbut all else "crumbles" outside the four walls, the result can be failure.

[Note: This message refers to the Sample Wedding Invitation cards, Chinese New Year cards that was posted recently to the conference: Photo Tours of Interest (with Pictures) This conference is not included in the mailing list but rather, one has to login to the forum to see them as it contains pictures etc..] Dear Anon, I agree with you. Why not red envelopes used. Red envelopes are also used. However, the `disadvantage' of using red envelopes is that if one tries to write on it, especially with blue or black ink, it is pretty hard to see. (I believe this is the main reason). Otherwise, red envelopes are acceptable. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Oliv, Traditionally or in the past, there were no such thing as either the electric oven or the refrigerator. (Although there is the clay kiln -- which for the Chinese is often used to make pottery). Otherwise, unlike in the middle east, the Chinese do not often bake bread or pita etc... (As the main Chinese stable food is rice). The most important consideration therefore has to do with the position of the stove. Please note that in my opinion, the micro-wave oven should be considered as belonging to the metal element. This is because, unlike conventional ovens that use heat, the micro-wave ovens excite molecules "inwards" using the wave-length e.g in the 800 mega…

Dear Emily, If your wealth element is Wood, then you must either be a Strong or Weak Metal person. For a weak metal or strong metal person, his/her wealth element has to do with Wood. However, for a weak metal person, one cannot automatically gain wealth from "wood". This is because the weak metal person is too weak at the moment to draw wealth directly from wood. For a weak metal person, it is best to increase one's weak metal with (1st priority = earth element) and secondary adding more metal to metal. What happens if one is a strong Metal person:- Yes, in this case, finding a wood especially a STRONG wood person is good. Since wood is the wealth element of the s…

1. In my opinion, this is not the best method. As so far in my life (span) you are the first to associate a child's interdisplinary studies with the Five Elements concept. 2. The Five Elements Concept: 2.1. Everything cannot be simply just "black and white". Or for that matter, if one's element is metal, imagine if we simply base on it's colours: white, gold, metallic or silver and say decorate a home that is completely "white" life will be simply plain. 2.2 We were born to admire or most of us are able to detect at least more than 60,000 shades of colours. And why limit one to One or Two? 3. Thus it is the same for studies. One should not limit one's child just to on…

Dear Hemant, Frankly, there is no direct relationship between selling say a godown vs Feng Shui. A godown is especially related more with business decisions, then Feng Shui. In the holy trinity of luck: considerations include: things like your office Feng Shui, home Feng Shui.... Dear Anon, You don't need any money for using cures in traditional feng shui. What you have been reading about is BTB feng shui and it does not work. Trust me I am talking from personal experience. Don't waste your money on BTB cures. Instead apply the pillar of destiny, 8 house theory and flying star and shape and form and it will help you to achieve balance in all area of your life. Instead of focusing all your energy on wealth why don't you concentrate on health and peace of mind. Since if one does not have health and peace of mind one cant earn or enjoy the wealth. You can ask cecil or robert lee to help you. They have helped many people (who were in financial trouble…
