General Help

Seek General Advice from Master Cecil Lee

  1. Dear Anon, 1. No usually, the garage should be left out as it is not a `living' space. 2. If the house has separate owners, it is best that it can be differentiated. And readings can be taken for each apartment. For the shape of the house, one can treat it as a whole apartment when doing the Shapes and Form analysis. One can thus do an environmental scanning for the landscape, the site and the home. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Yes, in Chinese belief, it is not auspicious to use a black lamp shade. As for a throw pillow, this can be quite subjective. If you have a picture of it, perhaps you can post it here. Overall, having black furniture is not necessarily considered bad. For example, many leather seats for the living room are black in colour. Equally, nowadays, many furniture e.g. TV set stands and TV sets are in black colour. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Kenny, Generally, these are another way to look at the various elements in relation to your life:- Simply it is good to have friends as they often means people or things which helps you along the way providing you additional support and encouragement. Most likely all users are more interested in the Wealth as such the reports focus more on this area. Generally, if you encounter for example lots of Earned Wealth and Unexpected Wealth in your Luck Pillars or throughout your life based on (Water) elements, it means that you are given lots of opportunities to gain wealth. Whether or not you succeed thus depends on whether youa re a strong Earth person. On the oth…

Dear Jaishree, There are a few considerations to note: 1. One theory you can apply is the Eight House Theory. Here, check what intangible force is located in the West room with respects to your children who will be occupying the room. 2. Under the Eight House, Where possible it is good for them to spent time at an of the 4 auspicious sector e.g. Health, Longevity etc.. 3. Priority should be given to Para 2. Another point is that they can sit facing one of their good directions. 4. Before considering Para 3, it is best to position the study table against a wall for `support'. Check out the resources on www.geomancy.net for the Shapes and Form School techniques and read up …

Dear Daniel Congratulations on your exam results:) Generally, since it is team, and that it is not permanent, any reasonable abode should be acceptable so long as they have a good rest:) More importantly, they are refreshed and are able to perform well. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  6. Hi Anon, Here is that is Fire will exhaust star 4, and destroy Metal at same time. So this is appropriate to create an element balance between all ths stars since 2 (Earth), 7 (Metal), toilet (water flow), 4 wood, plus fire gives you a perfect five element flow:- Earth -> Metal -> Water -> Wood -> Fire -> Earth. Fire can be represented by colours red or by having a light source. So keeping the place bright or having the red colour will help exhaust the sector. But anyway, since it is the toilet sector is it not a very major concern as having such stars in the bedroom or main door sector. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

  7. Started by shaquille,

Dear Anon, This is quite subjective and there are differing opinions on this. You have added a further `twist' by indicating that it can be seen from the side. If you MUST do it, `try it' and willing to share with us your findings, that will be great. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  8. Hi Cecil, Recently my neighbour placed a Ba Gua mirror above his door. His room is directly opposite my unit, thus any potential bad spirits or luck he is trying to reflect may end up in my unit. Am I right to think this would be the case? Can you spare me some professional advice on what I should do? Yours, Jin

  10. Started by myfs_111117,

Dear Anon, This is generally, a very common issue between two persons. The best way you go about matching two person's eight house is to apply the give and take approach. ie. Breadwinner should have the house extremely suitable to him. This way even if the bedroom is of a lesser auspicious, the breadwinner draw luck from the house. The breadwinner's spouse should then get the better bedroom to compensate from the lack in auspicious facing of the house. This will resolve most of the such conflicts. Especially, when what is good for one is bad for the other. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

These are some of the considerations:- 1. Caveat Emptor! Let the buyer beware. 2. Especially if one's birthdate falls in a so called "grey" area; if you get 10 geomancers to "prepare" a Ba Zi chart; often one will find that 6 out of 10 will get it all "mixed" up. 3. An eye opener is to be aware of any geomancer that sells commercial products in the name of Feng Shui. To them these so called modern commercial products have one fragrance: "Buy cheap, Sell HIGH". Guess who pockets the change? But, unfortunately, like the saying goes: "When the buying stops (not possible); just maybe, the selling ENDS?" 4. In order to reason why Fung Sway is being practiced in "this manner" …

  12. Started by Denny,

Dear Denise, 1. The main `concern' in Feng Shui is that it is inauspicious to let the toilet bowl face a location e.g. it can be the dining room table etc... 2. Thus based on the concept " If one cannot see the poison arrow or in this case Sha Qi, it no longer becomes a threat. 3. Therefore, normally closing the toilet door would do. You can consider, the rest of the things you mentioned as `luxuries' i.e. not compulsory to do such as keeping the lid down. 4. In my opinion, it is not adviseable to place a full length mirror unless one looks closely at that specific sector. As a mirror is considered able to reflect or `double' the bad luck if that sector is not auspicious.…

  13. Started by myfs_43805,

Dear Aj, Usually, poison arrows such as the corner of a table is considered more `important' consideration - to avoid. For bookshelves with books, this can be quite subjective as some of us may not feel the impact. However, if one is concerned with it, one could try to use doors on the bookshelf or covered with cloth (not sure how practical this is). I believe that as you had mentioned that it is above the bed, this should not be an issue as it is not aimed directly at any part of the body.. (on the bed). Warmest Regards, Cecil

  15. Dear Anon, I like your `new cure':) *Joke* So far, I believe no one has fully tested or tested using a mini tiger. Frankly, I have never `experimented' with a mini tiger, so cannot say for sure if it will work. Honestly, I am not sure. Do exercise caution: A tiger is a Yin animal as opposed to the Dragon (particularly the five claw dragon) which is considered the most Yang of all animals. This may upset your use of mini tigers. Majority of the time, the cure is to use Yang elements instead of adding or "accidently" increase the Yin elements. It is best not to reinvent the wheel or this round use what you can find. The added problem is if either the main door or direct opp…

  16. Started by wasis,

Dear Wasis, In such a situation, frankly, the essence here is that the bed should not be on the same wall and particularly, the `waste pipe' should not criss-cross or next to the bed. The only option is to leave a gap between the bed and this wall. This is perhaps the `lesser of the two evils'. Where it is not ideal for the bed to be away from the wall but this is much better considering the above. Warmest Regards, Cecil Regards, Wasis

In this sample by ranking of an estate; one systematic approach is to apply common sense such as:- In this sample there are Legends like:- X = Inauspicious especially low floors to be next to a precint pavilion where often funerals are held. (only applies to HDB does not apply to condo units) RB = Low floors may get the smell of rubbish truck collection... etc... The other is if you can try to apply Flying Stars or plot and use it to understand the interior layout. Here the concern is where certain bad flying star numbers may land e.g. #5 hopefully does not land in say the master bedroom etc... The alternative is you may want to consider getting a geomancer to appra…

  18. Started by sufun,

Dear Su Fun, Please see below: Since you are a SW house person, NW is your Longevity sector. Overall, the Eight House Theory is more to look at how suitable e.g. the breadwinner is to the house. In this case, you are considered suitable to the house. Under the Eight House Theory, what is equally important is what is the intangible force for each of you in your bedroom. I am not sure why you want to change your main door. Other than the above, the Eight House cannot tell you much about the birth chart of the house. If you want to consider just the Eight House then it is `fine'. The other theory called the Flying Star is used to find out the birth chart of the hous…

You can find out more about the Black Hat Sect Feng Shui from this link: http://www.loop.com/~bramble/fengshui/confess.html If you click on the above link, you will be transported Cate Bramble, Ultimate Feng Shui Resource site with an article called " Confessions of Lin Yun ". She is the strongest advocate against the practise of the Black Hat Sect. 2. An `L' shaped house does not necessary mean that it is `bad' or cause a `dilemma'. Even if both of you are `opposites'. 3. In this site, we normally leave it to the users to decide what depth or level of Feng Shui or `non-Feng Shui' they want to go into. This can range from simply applying Shapes and Form to t…

Dear Cheui May, 1. You brought up a good question. 2. I would apply the "33.3 percent Rule set." 3. I call this the 33.3 percent rule set as a general guide to better understand certain Feng Shui concepts that are universal: For example, 3.1. When we determine a "missing corner", we usually, say that a missing corner is one where it is 33.3 percent missing or the area is greater than 33.3 percent. 3.2. When one wears e.g. a `T' shirt, and to enhance oneself, for example a weak water person could e.g. wear blue shirt. It covers more than 33.3 percent of his entire surface of his body. Contrast this with wearing a ring or many rings. This is just an example. 3.3. For water …
