You need to stand in the house and face the door that gives you your door direction. You can balance your whole house by the main door. In addition you can balance each individual room by the direction of each room's door. Then again stand in that room and face the door for its direction.

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I am getting so tired of people not listening to what I say, people seem to have such weird ideas about who I am , but nobody seems to bother to actually listen to what I am saying, what am I doing wrong? Is there a Feng Shui cure that could help me? Feng Shui is not a miracle cure for all problems. Not everything can be solved through feng shui. In this this, this is more your human luck factor. Have you try to find out why people not listening to you? Is it because the image you project is not serious or maybe you are doing things that is not normally your friends areused to? Or the suggestion you are putting throgh is too radical for peop…

Logically, if it is a "new" as in brand new home; there is no issue with construction be it good or bad sectors. Thus if you really mean NEW; then a newly built home from scratch is a very common thing: For example, someone booked a terrace home and it is under construction and have not even moved in yet. Is this is a case of over-reacting? Move-in procedures can be found under this url: http://info.geomancy.net and the usual practise of selecting a good date to move-in. For the Chinese, they don't really like to move in on the lunar 6th month; 7th month and the month of the Qing Ming also. Dear Anon, If I get what you mentioned correctly, this is a `coffin position'. Yes, you can hang a curtain from the ceiling. So long as it covers the bed (leg) portion this is acceptable. You need to block it up to the level where you sleep on the bed. Further down e.g. the legs of the bed, this is not necessary. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hi Low Low, Generally, people always wants if possible to select auspicious dates whether it be for moving into the home, opening the door, opening a business etc. So generally, auspicious dates can be used in any of the areas. So long as you think it is an important event and need a date to do so. The Auspicious Dates analysis report is meant to do that. It does a detailed comparison based on each person's ba zi. As no one single person has the same luck. Then next is to check on the Tong Shu Dates to ensure like for example no one likes to move in during say the Qing Ming month etc. In your question, moving in is usually defined as selecting a date which you officially…

Dear Deepti, Frankly, I am not too familar or aware of any good Feng Shui practitioner in India. Perhaps, you can try to check your yellow pages and see if there is a Chinese practitioner in your country and find out more if he/she is willing to teach you. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Sheila, Appreciate if you can elaborate your question further. The rationale is because: "weak earth/wood snake " realtes to Pillars of Destiny or also known as Ba Zi or Eight Characters. While "5 yellow star" or known as Flying Star #5 - misfortune. Both are different theories. Under Flying Star, " 5 yellow star " can be cured at sectors which are out of balanced in a house. It can easily be cured within a house. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Tammy, Please see below:- In fact, often, such homes that you had mentioned, ended up more like the `frontage' of the home. (And the main entrance/road) Often the worry about a water position is if (top-down) view, it seems to slice inwards or towards the home. (Much like a knife - cutting into the home). Trees / plants are acceptable, since, they often shade areas and invite: birds to the area. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. Ideally, good buildings have the `water' facilities away from the offices. Here, pumbing can be concentrated at the corner of a building i.e. the pantry area, the toilets (both male and female). 2. Since most of us are not going to spent so much time at the toilet area, the male and female toilets can still be next to each other. Usually, the centre area or a walkway for maintenance (housing the pumbing) for both toilets) is between the male and female toilet. 3. No matter how, the above is still a better choice rather than the toilet in the middle or at one location where it does not at least share one external wall. Here, some office main entrances may b…

Hello! i came across this forum and the advise given here is really practical and interesting. I’ve been looking all over the internet for this problem which I might potentially encounter- three doors facing each other- and I’ve only come across one post that addresses it. Imagine this: 2 bedroom doors facing each other (master and common bedroom) and in between them is a common bathroom. I’ve attached a picture of something that represents this. And all these rooms lead out to an opening that leads to the living area. I understand that 2 doors, especially of bedrooms, facing each other is bad and may lead to arguments. I read somewhere that 3 doors forming…

Dear Anon, In Asia, in my opinion, the most popular set of display figurines has got to be the "Fu Lu Shou" set of threefigurines.Either in a set or lettering. Before the popularity of the laughing buddha or buddha figurines; the above can be found in many "well-to-do"Chinese homes as early as 1960's. They are in-fact very popular right up today. The "Fu Lu Shou" figurines do not have any religious connotationsbut simply many Chinese love to display this set of three wise persons. As mentioned as one of the most popular display items of any Chinese homes. Thesethree figurines comes in many sizes, large, medium and small. They come in all sorts of material from gold, s…

Dear Anon, For the bedroom, depending on the level of yin (rest) or yang (play or activity) you want you can use appropriate pictures in the room. Where possible, do not purchase pictures or paintings for the sake of enhancing `wealth' but rather, buy what you feel you enjoy (without any contraints) to Feng Shui other than: 1. do not buy pics/paintings of `fierce' animals with open mouths, of swords, swordplay. Ambigious paintings of unknown figures, shapes shadows. Other than these, buy paintings that you really really like. For the Chinese, calligraphy or word(s) with meaning for the living room. For the dinning room, some FS practitioners/clients are more particular a…

Dear Marilyn, marilyn o wrote: which is main door? the 1st steel gate of the whole property or the wood main door of the house? Since this is a landed property, then you should take the facing of your house. ie which is the frontage of your home. We do not take the steel gate because depending on the plot of land, sometimes where the gate is isn't exactly where your house faces. So you should focus on the house and which is considered the front of the house. marilyn o wrote: if its the actual door of the house, is it bad to have part of a post (the corner/edge is Not POINTING to the main door, just the side) is this also considered as poison arrow? Dear Cheryl, cheryl ludwig wrote: As I have been saying, I am getting ready to buy a house. I want to do the right thing when choosing a house. Here is a question: The house I am looking at right now is the correct gua number for me. My number is 8 and the house number is 1151, which equals 8. You helped me with how to do this in my previous question. My question is this: Is is more important to be in a house with the appropriate gua number or is it more important to have the house in one of the four good directions - if the two are different (i.e. -the gua is good, but the direction is not so good). With my gua as 8, the house number equalling 8, the direction is barely…

Dear Max, 1. Typically, the design of a commercial building is influenced by the kind of tenants or tenant mix it attracts, along with other elements such as the nature of the business. 2. When it comes to purely office spaces, I think this isn't a concern. However, for retail establishments, their success hinges on various business factors, such as foot traffic, among others. 3. As long as the office is not in a remote or hard-to-reach area, and if numerous tenants occupy the office space, I believe there shouldn't be any problems. 4. For residential properties, many people would logically prefer to be situated further away from noise, as well as from…

Dear Sophia, Sophia Chia wrote: Are dreams a part of feng shui. Human mind are so complex that no one is still able to comprehend how dreams work. However, I would classify dreams which appear to come true as personal intuition or 6th sense at work. Many a times, whensomething bad is about to happen to people (especially those closest to us), we somehow have some form of intuition which will give us advance warning. Most of the time it is dreams or sometimes it is like your eye twiching constantly. Since everyone has some form of person intuition or 6th sense (only how weak or strong for some person). Often even in Feng Shui, when we often say that the best way to te…

1. Frankly, majority of the time, or intuitively, once we see a room, often, we have in our mindsa suitable seating arrangement. 2. As your message is vague, it is best that one should feel "comfortable" sitting in a direction viewing tv (based on para 1.). 3. Thus, I really won't know for sure, given that there is no layout sketch. Even if there is a layout sketch, if Feng Shui is applied, considerations like the shapes and forms, eight house and flying star Feng Shui is considered. 4. Honestly, a Feng Shui practitioner will often consider the environment. If the environment is a bedroom, a "sane" FS practitioner would never recommend a wind chime in a bedroom! 5. …

Dear Anon, For the Hulu or bottle gourd, often, this is used in place of a set of six-coins or wind chime. The purpose of the hulu is in Feng Shui, suppose to "suck in bad qi". For example, many Chinese Feng Shui practitioners hang it above the bed in response of bad flying star numbers like #5 or #2 sickness stars. The purpose is to "suck" in bad sickness qi. Sometimes it is also used or hung in place of the alternative partition i.e. especially if the main entrance door face the balcony window (directly). Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Sophia, Since Grand Duke is at the location mentioned, it is better to be on the safe side -- i.e. move the grandfather clock away from this location. However, a double edged sword exists if there are nasty #5's x 2 at this location. If so, between choosing ot offend Grand Duke or "submitting" one's soul to devil, it is better should there be a multiple of #5 in that location to leave it to deal with the "devil". The morale of the story? " The Devil has the right of way, first! Grand Duke, move-aside!". Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Frankly, there is more reaons as to why you face problems. It is not just because of the car purchase. I am pretty sure there are other issues ie very bad ba zi luck as well as some bad feng shui stars that are working against you. As far as I could tell from your ba zi is that 2005 is a bad year for you with five-yearly luck (2003-2007) containing Harm and self-punishment which makes it a year to look out for potential troubles. Especially, so in the later half of 2005 where you enter into a Metal influence. In addition, this year you have nearly all the clashes ie 2 clashes (in Heaven & Earth Branch), Harm and Self-Punishment. So you have to be extra ca…
