Dear Michelle, 1. Yes, looks like both units are affected by the afternoon sun. 2. Generally, usually it is the physical look at the prison that makes some uncomfortable. For example, the ballota park condo, where, the access road to/out ofthis condo is facing the prison "gate", even to the extent that I have clients asked me whether it is acceptable to have a prison so close-by. 3. To be truly honest, this is not a major issue. However, it is wise to choose an apartment that does not have a view of the prison. For the simple reason that future re-sale of this apartment can be pretty bad or no takers at all. 4. Otherwise, living close-by to a prison is of no issue. 5…

Dear Master Lee: I sent this question to you by E-mail already because I can not attache my floor plan due to the big file, I don't know you received it or not, or the question is over the limit for free advice? My floor plan has the family room, garage, and bedroom4(2nd floor) under the same roof which is lower than the main roof, but the family room is separated from the kitchen area(under the main roof) by half wall, and there is door from the main house to the garage, the 2nd floor bedroom4 is over the garage. The question is : should I use one nine grid for the whole house, or should I use two nine grids...one is for the main house, and another one for the garage …

Hi I see many websites / shops selling fengshui art e.g. three legged frogs with gold coin in mouth etc. Are these pure myths? Also, are gold threaded dragons embroidery good if i put it at the East part of the house? Will the metal element kill off hte wood element? Thanks cy

Dear Ovidiu, Holistic Feng Shui takes into account many various factors which also includes the external environment. Primarily, a Feng Shui practitioner should use various tools or techniques to access the home. For example, often, most of us think that the most critical factor is the interior 4 walls of the home-itself. But a proper Feng Shui audit would include:- External environment assessment using Shapes and Forms Feng Shui: The landscape and the site The site and the building or home Here, both Shapes and Forms and Compass Schools: Eight House and Flying star is used. Thus, it would generally be naive for us to come to a complete conclusion after only using …

Dear Master Lee: Thank you very much, sir, for your quick response. We were shown another home at another cul-de-sac location this morning. Myhusband and I had expressed to the realtor that we would like a home with the backyard facing greenbelt openspace, preferably with a mountain view. However, it seems that most (if not all) homes with a mountain view so far are either sloped down in the back or located in a cul-de-sac. I've searched for your responses to all the cul-de-sac questions. There was one questionrecently "culdesac sha qui" with picture of 12 houses around a cul-de-sac street. I 'd say this picture is exactly the type of cul-de-sac that this "Cresthill…

Dear CJ, Frankly, there is no right or wrong answers, here. On a macro level, often, a developer or owner of the entire building may have it checked. Thus, a macro level Feng Shui is done e.g. the facing direction of the complex. Especially for landscaping of the surrounding land area of the complex e.g. water feature, landscaped rock / formation. In many instances, if one is merely a tenant, and hires a FS practitioner, then often, a FS practitioner may perform a micro level Flying star analysis instead of just taking the facing direction of the entire building. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Michelle, Since you had mentioned that although the roof was put in Dec 2003, however, since the internal organs of the home have yet to be ready by then i.e. ready in 2004, it would be best to use the Period 8 chart. As you have also not even moved-in yet. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Pam, 1. In my opinion, what you had mentioned is not exactly true in all situations. 2. Since no two situations (or homes) are exactly the same, therefore, an appropriate term should be " It depends". This is also called situational approach towards reviewing each homes. 3. For example, I know of many homes in a cul-de-sac that has been properly "configured". For example, even if it is at a cul-de-sac, the frontage is usually a long driveway towards the "inner" part i.e. the main entrance or home is right "inside" this cul-de-sac. 4. In the past, I had posted a sample case study of a home at the cul-de-sac - somewhere close to Woo Mun Chew Road, Siglap, Singapore…

Appended by Cecil: Anything that has to do with reviewing personal ba zi info and a host lot of other information, has to do with paid service than free service. Thanks. Dear Master, I 'm considering buying a unit at WestMere EC located at Jurong East St. 13. However, after reading thru your messages and using the free reports, I'm still quite confuse which unit is best for me. I'm born in 11 Feb 69 (time: 10:15am) and my birth element is Strong Fire, therefore, my suitable house facing should be (1) NE/SW (2) North (3) NW/West. Questions: (1) Which unit is best for me #17-07 or #18-08 (I have attached the floorplan of both unit...they are actually next to each o…

Dear Pam, Please refer to my previous message on this. Yes, Feng Shui does not know which is the facing direction. But rather, as mentioned in the earlier message, suppose if the living room or areas of activity are concentrated here, or there is a patio opened out from the living or even family room. These sort of activities, that make it pronounced that the home is facing the back. And where imagine, once we close the main entrance door, literally, we are not over looking this part of the home. But, concentrate our family activites at the "back". Usually, this should be planned inadvance when developing the home. But once developed and if happens that the living r…

Dear Master Lee: For all the houses that sitin the cul-de-sac "circle" (excluding those on the parallel street leading to the culdesac), they are homes that "will never become rich" EVEN IF their front doors are on the side(not facing the cul-de-sac) and the drive-ways are painted grey. Is this a true statement? Very respectfully yours, Pam

Dear Pam, Please see below:- Generally, based on your description - i.e. comparision between these two homes, I would say your description of the gold-dust or the second home seems better:- Under commonsense approach to Feng Shui, also, this is quite rare, but -- remotely, if something do go wrong such as a land slide, then, such a home is not ideal. Land slide may never happen here, but there is always a remote possibility that cannot be discounted. Another sha qi or not favourable aspect of a home is to make sure that it is not exposed to elements - or "gale force" or strong winds. The wind coming to the property should in most cases, be "gentle type" as …

Dear Danny, 1. The key to applying Flying star Feng Shui is to see where is the "mouth" of the house. Or the location where there is e.g. most light coming into the home. Or if one has a habit of often opening the main door, sometimes, this can be the facing direction, also. For example, SW1 under period 8 enjoys very good sum-of-ten Flying star feng shui etc... As usual, you must find out or learn more about this theory to benefit when you do up your home. Or do consult a fs practitioner on this matter. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Pam, From looking at the Pepperwood, personally, I would not buy this home since the entire facade is fully "exposed" . In my opinion, I personally feel uncomfortable - if I were to buy this home even if the poison arrow i.e. to me it seems low traffic but, if it is a road leading towards other homes, then, I would seriously think twice about it. Since there are limited choice i.e. you have asked me an opinion as to whether this or Ashwood, I would personally feel more comfortable (last resort) purchasing Ashwood instead -- BUT, if given the choice, I would not do so unless the lamp post is relocated away from the house. The lamp post is a "stubborn obstacle" - w…

You see - Hse was bulit in period 7 with door sw2 (m4w1b4) which is suitable to breadwinner but , death for me n disaster for ourgirl. Our bedroom at east (m3w2b5) which suppose be my excellent sector but I am still unwell not able to work. My husband has to put up with occassionalaches too. This room choosen for me as to compensate the door facing was bad for me! (ps when dividing the hse plan with 9 grids, our whole bed n working desk are within the center grid!.) No matter how, just to take note that even for a Period 7 home, under Period 8, a period 7 home's chart would already lose some of its energy epecially if these were once auspicious under Period 7 e.g. double 7's etc... Since your layout is like it is, if you really need to use the stove, there is frankly not much choice unless one has a wet or dry kitchen or could bear buying a simple burner stove etc.. to be placed at another identified location. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Master Lee, A bad year for the rabbit--no kidding! I am struggling very much so. Seems as though all good luck generated so far ends up degenerating. Would like to know how to keep good luck flowing. 1) used your site for instant charts. Not sure how to read the flying star chart your site has generated for my home. I do not know how to read the chart to know where to position my aquarium, or wealth, etc.My flying star chart in Period 6 has the directions indicated, but in each individual grid there are three numbers, year with a number and month with a number--not sure which number goes with which. Are the big numbers the stars themselves? Which are lucky and unl…

Dear Jarno, There are two concepts here which you need to get it clear:- 1. Eight House In terms of concepts, the best concept to apply in a micro environment (ie selection of suitable bedroom), we find that the Eight House concept where 4 good and 4 bad directions are used. This is a concept based on YEAR of birth. Even though, this is so, this is a simple yet effective method. But this will give a slight conflict to the Ba Zi in some cases. 2. Ba Zi Ba Zi uses the day, month, year of birth and even hour of birth, so is able to give you a better analysis. However, it also has its limitation in terms of direction. The direction factor in the ba zi is better used in …

Dear CJ, Again, here you still do not understand how Flying Star analysis works. 1. A house will have a flying star based on the year it was built. Meaning if it is built anytime before 1984-2003, this will make it a period 7 house, with a 20-year chart showing period 7 star as the base star. This will not change unless you effect a change to next period 8. 2. Such a period 7 chart will have different luck when you are in period 7 itself, and a slightly different chart when you view it in period 8. This is due to the fading prosperity effect. Meaning that if you viewed the report in 2000, the stars number 7 will be automatically auspicious, this is because of the spec…
