Dear Cecil.. I understand that there are many similar questions and probably that is why you ignored this request. Let me try and rephrase my question so that you know that I am not getting answers from other Qs etc. 1. As mentioned the T Jn faces the balcony and not the main door. Is it still a threat? 2. What all solutions exist for solving.. like earthern lamps; bagua mirror; planters/plants... will lighting two cormers of balcony with Electric lamps also solve? 3. The house in fact feels like it is in a chairman;s seat since the road ahead (The Road hitting my house) is lined by houses on both side NO POSITIVE EFFECT?? 4. Since there are houses on both sides th…

Dear George, No, it is meant for high-rise buildings - where it was felt that qi is different at different levels. Therefore this theory can besaid as "a vertical Flying star theory". While the regular Flying star takes into account "horizontal Flying star analysis. Warmest Regards Cecil

DearCecil, Thanks so much for the prompt reply. Your opinion has been very reassuring. You are right, i supposed for most of us, we tend to look for 'concurrence' even if deep down we already have some 'innate guidelines'. And its great to know that everything is a blessing depending on how we interpret & take it! Thanks for your confidence; I 'll try to 'overcome' any seeming incompatibilities and strive to see the positive in day-to-day occurences. Wishing you the best of happiness, health & wealth! Take care & cheers! Chloe

Hello I am starting a new business and just rented a office space facing NW2. It is a period 6 building but the unit has been vacant for more than 1 year. I would like to know if I should use period 8 for the natal chart. The front door would be inNW with a ws 8 and the back of the office would be ms 8 in SE. Am I right to say this would be an ideal office? Are there anything I should look out for or should do to enhance the wealth creation of this business? Thank you very much for your help.

  6. Dear Anon, 1. In the past, a butcher is a butcher, a merchant is a merchant. And job analysis is pretty easy to define. 2. For example in the past, a Chinese book-keeper involving in the counting of money e.g. metal coins can be considered under the profession of an accounting career. Thus, since, he or she is involved in money (coins) then, his/her career is associated with metal. 3. Nowadays, many of us are involved in multi-skilling i.e. we may not necessarily do one job but have various job-skills. 4. In general, we can classify the industry that you are in (Finance) as in the Metal element. But, a planner be it a finance planner or other planners is involved in "…

Further to what I had mentioned, this attachment shows one of the best facing directions of the study/work table at North (Prosperity direction). And if one "drags" the layout plan into the actual layout, it fits into each of the bedrooms (Master bedroom for Mr X) and the second bedroom for Mr Y. And for the bed, one will notice that one of the best bed head facing direction is East and this is the better facing direction of the bed-head vs having the bed-head facing a bad West direction. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Elena, 1. Since Period 8 is "reign" by earth element, most likely the article, applys the Five elements concept to relate seasons (months/dates) to the element for the year. 2. Reference: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-5element.htm 3. Under the above link, please see the destructive cycle: where 4. Earth is exhausted by water 5. The article applies the idea that the water element is not favourable to Earth element e.g. Earth Period since under the destructive cycle, earth is exhausted by water. Thus, it would be inauspicious. 6. If we follow the same guideline, in the same token, the article should article perhaps indicate that wood months may not…

  9. Dear Janna, Perhaps, hope you can clarify further. Often, if you own a unit or stay in a unit. And if it happens that digging is done at the SW sector e.g. your bedroom is at the SW, one can be affected by the work. Therefore, in your unit, and if e.g. the master bedroom is at SW and outside this South-west sector, digging is done, than there are instances e.g. of one falling sick, frequently. Dear Anon, Feng Shui cannot be done by "remote-control". Here, if one does not stay in a home, there is minimal or no influence at all. One must be staying in that home to have an earth (Feng Shui influence). Thus, if you are staying in your mum's home: 1. May consider the Feng Shui of your mum's home. 2. An alternative? If you have alternative or if it is feasible, sometimes, each home has it's specific Feng Shui "luck". Here, for instance, if your home Feng Shui can be considered as having better Feng Shui for example, such as a change in Period to Period 8 etc... one could (again - if it is feasible) look at both homes to see which is the better one. This is be…

Dear Anon, Frankly, there are quite alot of variations of land forms. And often it is best to use the term "it depends" as often no two situations are unique. This is because, often, in a forum such as this, if I describe a specific land form, and to say that it is inauspcious may not be correct. As some users here, may feel that what was described does not match the current situation. More importantly, much of what you have mentioned has more to do with commonsense approach:- 1. The major clue is the foundation of the site or area. Often, if the entire foundation of the site ie. your plot of land, your neighbourshave a solid foundation, even if there is a slope be…

Dear Con, Actually, the greater "value" of a good Feng Shui apartment lies in the common saying: "Location, location, location". In fact, this is often the most critical key success in selecting a home or an apartment. From a "cultural" perspective; as you had mentioned, in particular, Cantonese (dialect) group do not like 4. But often, they do not like multiples of it e.g. 44 or 444. Otherwise, 104 (without looking) at the house no, seems often not a major issue. More importantly, bring along family members to the new apartment and ask for their comments on the location. This often is better. I personally feel that these are better key success-factors, than s…

  15. Hi, I need some help in kick starting the FS at home, as I encounter some problems. ( please see attached, the layout plan) 1. Determining the main door. I have 2 doors, 1 the main door, which I use to enter the house and the other a sliding door that leads to the the PES. The main door is kept close most time, where else the sliding door always open. I reckon this is where the chi and light is entering the house. In this case, which should I consider as my main door? 2. I cannot locate the centre of the house, as you can tell the build in area is not a regular shape. Thus I am not quite able to determine the facing of the door. 3. Given the missing corner, h…

  17. My living room and dining room have beams going across the ceilings. The ceiling is quite low. My house faces the SE, and has a large river flowing from the East to the West. I have large picture windows opening up to view the river and the hills on the other side. I live on a hillside. The back of the house faces the hillside and is North/North West. There is a long cutout in the front of the house allowing the front door to open in the center of the house the door faces East. My mother lived here for 30 years (house built in 1964), she never accumulated any wealth. I am afraid this will happen to me. (I have a home office here and have just become aware of Feng Shui.) W…

  19. Master Lee, I just moved to a new office building. We all have cubicles. The problem is, there are overhead beamsholding light fixtureshung fromtheceiling, one is cutting directly on top of my head where I am sitting. As I can't move to another cubicle, what can I do about this overhead hanging beam? Also, aside from working hard, what are good feng shui practices to gain career recognition or promotions or to keep away from office politics. Kind regards, Anon

Dear Clarise, Well not to worry. What was often stated in the forum has more to do with "living quarters" e.g. bedroom or a home. Since yours is primarily a shop, one should not translate what you have read to what is in your shop premises. For shops, often glass / shining metal pieces often elude an air of space or give an illusion of bright / and space. The saying goes: " A little knowledge, can be a dangerous thing!". Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hey everyone, im a teenager who has no say on how the rest of my house is arranged, but i would still like to make use of feng shui within my bedroom, so if you could perhaps provide some advice, some links to information, or anything you think would be helpful, i would appreciate it! More specifically, should i treat my room as just a single entity, or should i divide it into sectors? Also, should i make use of true compass directions, or is the wall with my bedroom door automatically considered 'north'? Any advice is welcome!

  22. In modern highrise living, the "main door" of an apartment unit is often just a means to get in and out of the house and nothing more.It is kept shut most of the time, and may even be located at the "back" next to the kitchen.Often, there is also no "back door".Would it be more logical then to assume the balcony, with its sliding window or door as the "main door"?

What then is the best option if: My best position is head pointing north. This means my bed must be placed at 45 degrees to the wall.If I align it against either wall that forms the corner,my head will be pointing in my worst directions,ie,NE or NW.Other bed positions are not suitable because it faces a mirror or the door. If I sleep alone in a queen size bed, should I sleep diagonally with my head pointing north?Which is more important - the position of the bed in thedesired corner of the bedroom or the head pointing direction?

  24. Dear Anon, There are two practical remedies: 1. Check to see if your glass is reflective. If the facade or wide expanse of glass windows have a coating of sun-x (shiny),if so, or if it has a "mirror" finish, then, it issaid that the poison arrow is reflected back to the origin. 2.I am not too sure ifcertain condos permit sun-x film or a specific type since they always wanted to have a uniform facade or look for the entire condo. If not, sometimes a lighter coloured film can be used in the home, depending on your home. For example, if the home is bathed by the afternoon sun, then, such a film may be considered. But if your home is a north-south facing one, then, adding …

Dear Anon, When there is a double 8, often, the idea here is that "clear space" reigns over having a "mountain" at this location. This is why, often, it is best for the living room or frontage - be in this double 8 area. Depending on your layout of your home, between a storeroom or an open area, double 8's are better located with "clear - space". Given this, if it is possible to have a back door leading to clear space, than, your proposal to have a backdooris a possibility. Warmest Regards, Cecil
