Dear Niteka, Yes, I also believe that as far as possible, the centrepoint of the home should have clear space. Particularly the movement of the elevator creates Sha Qi at the centrepoint of the home which is not ideal. (The near equavalent is the toilet at the centrepoint). The staircase is a secondary (problem) as when compared to the elevator. Frankly, we normally wish or hope that there can be an effective `cure' but this is best avoided (if one can). For example, 4 in cantonese sounds like Die, but 4 is used in like 4 leave clover to represent good luck. So auspicious numbers to different people may mean differently. Some people like 4 others hate it. It is really subjective. In terms of feng shui one way of checking if any large number is good or not is to convert it to a single digit. ie 39 = 3+9 = 12 = 1+2 = 3. So far only possible thing you can do is to try to choose luck dates or ensuring you wear more favourable colours during your meeting with the potential buyer. In addition if you have bushes inbetween the house and the dead end. With `proper care' of the slope to avoid soil erosion is ideal. In my opinion, you need not do anything at this stage.
